Rose’s face was a mask of utter nihilism, her eyes devoid of life as she stared at the scene before her. Sang was the first to break the silence, his voice dripping with disdain. “Your pampered, overly-fed pony got what it deserved. Get lost, Rose, and don’t ever show your spoiled face around me again.”
As Sang’s words reached Rose, a spark of life ignited within her, but this time it was directed at Dante, who was now resting on the ground. She pointed an accusatory finger at him and spat, “What kind of freak gets pancaked and then gets back up like nothing happened? I call foul play. You must have cheated, given it a potion or something. I’m telling your father that you’d rather cheat than admit defeat like a real man. Maybe my mother is right. I should take Maris as my fiancé instead. Goodbye, Sang!”
With that, Rose stormed off, leaving Sang to look at the napping Dante with a mixture of admiration and curiosity. “You never cease to amaze me, Morning. You’re the best thing my wretched mother ever did for me. Now get your ass up. There’s no way I’m carrying you to where we’re going.”

Dante woke to those new notifications and found himself without a body again. He seemed to be at some type of restaurant, as he could see Sang eating what looked to be a fancy salad. Dante, still feeling exhausted, let Sang enjoy his meal. It was Sang who released Dante on the floor next to him. He then picked up a bell beside him and shook it. A server came to him asking, “How can I serve you, sir?” Sang wiped his face with the handkerchief before saying, “I would like a prime steak for my Inunu here. And make sure it’s on the extra rare side.” The server glanced at Dante before doing a double take. He then bowed before hurrying away to complete the new order. It only took him a minute to come back with a massive steak on a tray and place it on the ground in front of Dante. Dante was too hungry to question why Sang was being all nice suddenly, and ate his meal.
Walking out of the restaurant with a very full stomach, Dante couldn’t help but be amazed by how the town looked. From bipedal reptilian people to anthropomorphic fluffy-tailed ones, everyone seemed to have somewhere to be with purpose. You could see robotic horses with hovering carts that looked both futuristic and primitive at the same time being driven around. People with signs advertising products such as potions and enchantments stood around as they walked. It was getting late in the day, so Sang decided it was time for them to get a room at one of the fancier inns. Dante couldn’t help but wonder how much money Sang had on him, being a runaway and all. Not being used as an attack dog and being able to rest more made Dante eager to get a room as soon as possible. That is when they stopped at an inn called The Wondering.
