Friends and Foes

Orion secretly handed a health potion he took out of his inventory and handed it to Fenilo. Fenilo took it and didn’t drink it right away.

-“What is going on here?”

Sig looked surprised at Orion before answering.

-“You came back faster than I though. Well….doesn’t matter now”

-“Sig? What are you doing?”

-“What I was hired to do”

-“And what is that…..”

-“Retrieve a certain item that this scum stole”

Sig used his sword to point to Fenilo. Orion realized that everything he knew about Sig was a lie. The young man’s blood was boiling with anger and unconsciously activated his presence skill. All the bandits took a step back and Sig looked at the old man thinking that he was the one releasing that pressure.

-“I see you got stronger while you were away kid.”

Fenilo then coughed some blood while smiling at Orion. Orion seeing that smile felt that his soul was being torn apart. ‘I don’t want to lose anyone else I care about...’

-“Even poisoned I can still handle Sig for a while but you need to take care of the rest”

Using all his strength, Fenilo stood up with his sword in his hand. He released a massive pressure on Sig, making him freeze.

-“Go kid! Now!!!”

He opened the potion and drank all of it.

Orion took out the dagger from his inventory and pushed the ground with all his strength making the ground crack a bit under the pressure before jumping towards the bandits. Using what he learned with the goblins and the curse dispelling he started killing bandits. Instead of a piece of paper he used the dagger. Orion successfully killed 5 bandits before they even realized. Orion moved like the wind, and every second another bandit died. The bandits tried to kill the young elf but as soon as they reached him, one of the bandits was already dead and they were only seeing blood.

In one minute he killed almost all the bandits. After killing most of them Orion was covered in blood and since there were fewer people the pressure accumulated on them. They saw Orion approaching and tried to run while yelling “The Devil! Ruuun! Monster!!!” Orion didn’t let them get away and killed them. After killing all the bandits Orion looked back and saw that Fenilo couldn’t keep Sig frozen and he lost an arm. And was now on his back without his sword with Sig yelling.

-“Tell me where it is or I will cut off your other hand”

Orion focused his entire presence on Sig and ran towards him. Sig only smiled towards Orion and he raised his sword.

-“Impressive that you managed to kill my men so fast. But they were weaklings. I am not”

And in an instant Sig was next to Orion. Thankfully he had body control mastery so he avoided the attack but Sig didn’t stop and kept attacking. Orion was avoiding most of the attacks, and some of them were stopped by the armor he had. Seeing that Fenilo was slowly bleeding and he could barely fight back he screamed as loud as he could.

-“GULLIVER”

Suddenly Sig stopped his attack and looked at the moving trees and nose coming from the forest. Orion tried to take advantage of the situation but he failed since Sig avoided the attack and struck back reducing his health by 20%. Suddenly Gulliverappeared. He didn’t have any weapons on him since his club was destroyed in the cave while fighting the goblins.

“Me, friend, help”

He ran towards Sig and catching him off guard he swung his arm and hit him throwing him a few meters back. He wasn’t injured badly since just before he was hit he jumped backwards.

-“Careful my friend. He is strong and fast but together we can beat him.”

Sig was now looking at Gulliver and Orion.

-“What is with that monster? Is it with you? Hahaha. I’m going to enjoy killing both of you”

As he finished his sentence he dashed towards them and with a freighting speed and accuracy he attacked Orion but the attack was blocked by Gullivercausing him to start bleeding. Orion struck back but since his skills were nonexistent Sig avoided them with ease.

While fighting Orion realized that Fenilo was in danger so he used one of his new skill Elemental and created a created a small earth golem. He was only 1 meter tall had no eyes and looked like a ball of mud with arms and legs. Orion handed him a bottle of health potion and ordered it to take it to Fenilo and make him drink it. Sig tried to stop and destroy the monster that suddenly appeared but was stopped by Gulliver and Orion.

The small golem ran as fast as he could carrying the glass vial and took it to Fenilo. He has fainted so the golem opened the vial and poured it in his mouth. The bleeding stopped and it seemed like he drank the whole vial. ‘That should keep him alive, while I deal with this’ The golem shortly returned to earth.

While fighting Gulliver got hurt and was bleeding. Orion was in a similar condition. Not having a choice Orion yelled at Gulliver to grab him as soon as Sig stops. Orion released his presence on Sig and surprised Sig froze for a second, enough for Gulliver to grab him. Sig realized and started stabbing Gulliver hands but Gulliver didn’t let go. While he was trapped Orion grabbed his head and using mana paint he covered Sig’s eyes with black paint.

-“You can let him go!”

Gulliver let him go as he groaned in pain. Orion handed him a health potion and told him to drink it. Orion did the same. Sig was now blind. He kept striking the air around him hoping to hit something. Orion told Gulliver to stand back and let him handle it. Orion looked for an opening and making no sound whatsoever while moving he cut Sig’s Achilles’ tendons making him fall to the ground like a rag doll. He kept screaming

-“I will kill you!!! Cheater!!! I will devour your heart!!”

Orion cut his hand making Sig release the sword. He took the sword away letting him crawl swearing and cursing. Orion using the dagger cut certain parts into his hands and legs making him stop moving. He was still alive but was unable to move. He removed the mana paint from his eyes and saw that he has normal eyes. He was human.

-“Illusion magic, huh…..”

Orion let him there and told Gulliver to watch him and don’t approach him. Orion ran as fast as he could and started healing Fenilo. He did gave him health potions but the poison ate away at his health. Using his healing skill he started to heal him but the poison was very powerful. While healing he kept drinking mana potions. After finishing about 5 vials of mana potion he finally finished healing Fenilo. The poison was gone but his hand was still cut off.

Orion picked up the hand and put it where it belonged. While pressing the hand back into its original place he started casting healing again and surprisingly it worked. The skin, bones and muscle started to reconnect. Just to reconnect his arm Orion used 10 vials of potion and it still wasn’t enough. Reattaching a hand was the hardest thing he tried yet. Using another 5 was finally enough and he was finally in one piece. His hand healed and poison gone. Everything took 10 minutes but to Orion it seemed like hours.

Orion relieved he got up and headed back to Sig. He healed Gloiath of all his wounds then he went to Sig. He searched his body but didn’t find anything.He was slowly dying from blood loss. He saw that Orion healed Fenilo and that made him even more angry, he screamed even louder.

-“Silence. I want to know one thing. Who hired you?”

Orion stepped on one of the wounds making Sig scream in pain.

-“I asked a question. Answer me”

-“I would…….never help you”

Orion stepped even harder on the wound making his body shake from the pain. Orion saw that he was dying. He used his healing spell to heal him partially. Orion then asked again

-“Who hired you?!”

-“NEVER!!!!!”

Orion kept hurting him and when he was close to dying he would bring him back and then he repeated the process all night.

-“Who?!”

-“……”

Sig didn’t respond anymore, his eyes were blank, he didn’t feel pain anymore. Orion broke his mind and soul. He would never recover even if he was healed again. Sig almost died a few hundred times and brought back.

‘I won’t get anything out of him anymore’

Orion then cut his neck finally killing him. He created two earth golems and ordered them to carry his body into the woods. They picked him up and carried him away into the dark forest.

Orion then went to all the other bandits and checked their bodies. They didn’t have anything important. Orion took away all the weapons, armor and anything else that might be sold or used. Then he created as many earth golems as he could. He created 3 of them and then drank some man potion and created more. In the end there were 20 earth golems. Each time two were created he ordered them to carry the bodies into the forest and then return.

After getting rid of all the bodies. He drank some more potions and created 5 water golems. Orion Ordered them to wash away all the blood from him and the ground until the forest edge. He noticed that the water golems absorbed the blood and they turned red as they absorbed more and more blood. Orion noticed that they had to dispose of the blood so he ordered them to do the same, and take the blood into the forest and dump it there.

Thanks to the water golems and earth golems everything was exactly the same as before. Exhausted Orion told Gulliver to help him take Fenilo into the house. Gulliver picked him up carefully and when he headed into the house he needed to crouch to be able to enter. He put Fenilo on the bed gently. Orion used his mana painting skill to write a letter instantly explaining what happened after he fainted and about Gulliver since he didn’t want Fenilo to kill him as soon as he got up. He didn’t tell about how he tortured Sig, but that was implied. He left the letter on the table besides his bead.

He took Gulliver into one of the rooms and told him he could sleep here. Orion headed to his room and fell on the bed exhausted not being able to even move. Mentally and physically drained he fell asleep in seconds.

When he woke up he was starving. While still in bed he checked his stats. And seeing that he leveled up he used up his stat points towards his mana.

He got up and went outside looking for Fenilo. He was talking to Gulliver who now was wearing some sort of armor on him. Fenilo was laughing and so was Gulliver . When suddenly they stopped and noticed Orion

-“I see that you finally awoke”

-“I was tired”

-“I know. You slept for two days”

-“Two days?!”

-“I have some food prepared. Follow me”

Orion followed Fenilo and saw that there was a large amount of food on the table. Orion started eating. While eating he was told that while he was sleeping Fenilo and Gulliver became friends.

-“When I first saw him I was shocked. I almost killed him Hahahaha. You didn’t write in the letter much about him. So while you were sleeping we talked.”

-“I’m glad you get along so well”

-“Yes. Relael, me, friends”

-“Relael? Who is that?”

-“That would be me, I’m afraid. My real name is Relael. I used the alias Fenilo because….well because I didn’t fully trust you yet. I told you would get to know my name when you will get my respect. And both of you did, especially you.”

-“Thank god!”

-“What”

-“Well….Fenilo is kind of a weird name”

-“Really?”

-“Yes”

After finishing to eat they kept talking for a bit more when Orion asked

-“So what was he after?”

-“A long time ago when I left my previous job, I took….something to remember that life. I didn’t know it was anything important. It was the first thing that I noticed. I didn’t think that such a small knife could be so important.”

-“A knife? Anything special about this knife?”

-“Well…no. It is a beautiful knife with nice carvings on it. It is a bit light now that I think about it.”

-“Can I see it?”

-“I didn’t know it was important so I bought a spell that made it so, that after my first student masters a weapon he will receive it as a reward.”

-“Then I need to get started no?”

-“I warn you that this might take longer than you believe”

-“It doesn’t matter.”

-“I see. Well then. I have everything ready. I also started training Gulliver a bit since he asked me to.”

-“You started training too?”

-“Yes. Me, weak. Power, need, protect, friends.”

-“I’m weak too. We both need to get stronger fast”

Orion did use the dagger a lot but still didn’t get the skill for it. The three of them got up and went next to the lake.

-“Relael. I have a question that I forgot to ask”

-“What is it?”

Orion took the egg out of the inventory and showed it to Relael.

-“Do you know what this is?”
