The Stone Door
As he inspected the rock he noticed some drag marks on the ground. He tried to push it but the rock was too heavy. As he thought of a way to move the stone he heard a noise. When he looked at the source of the noise he saw that the goblin awoke.
-“So, you are awake?”
-“Yes. Happened what?”
-“What do you remember?”
-“Attack, you, small ones attack, dying. You friend, deal.”
He noticed that the goblin was not that smart. But still knew what happened.
-“Yes. We are friends now. After you agreed to the contract I healed you.”
-“Healed?”
-“Yes. You have no more injuries left.”
-“Shaman, you”
-“What is a shaman?”
-“Tribe, healer, powerful”
-“Well I’m not a shaman I’m something else”
-“Friend?”
-“Yes. Friend”
-“First friend”
The goblin smiled gently at Orion. The young elf didn’t know but Orion was his first friend. The goblin was hated and ostracized since he was a mutation among the goblins.
-“My name is Orion. What is yours?”
-“Me? Name? Monster, the small ones said”
-“Monster? That is no name. Do you want me to give you a name?”
-“Name, you? Yes”
-“Hmmmm….how about Gulliver?”
-“Gulliver? Gulliver. Gulliver like”
-“Good.”
-“Gulliver, Orion…. Friends”
-“The one who imprisoned you. What did he do here?”
-“Bad man, rock move, me”
-“He made you move the rock?”
-“Yes”
-“Can you help me move it?”
Gulliver nodded and pressed one hand on the large rock and moved it with ease. Orion tried to help but saw that he wasn’t needed at all. Behind the rock there was a small tunnel. It was man made since the edges were straight and something like this doesn’t happen naturally.
-“Thank you Gulliver. What else did he do?”
-“Me stay here. He enter, long time.”
Suddenly a window appeared in front of Orion.
Quest CompletedQuest Name:Merchant’s StorageQuest Rank:DQuest Reward:What is in the storageDescription:You have successfully reached the entrance to the merchants secret storage. You can take anything you desire from inside of it.
Warning: Some items were kept safe by the merchant for other people. If these items are recognized you could be considered a thief.Do you accept this quest?
The entrance was a bit too tight for Gulliver so Orion told him to wait for him. As he entered he noticed that the walls were very old. They were probably build way before the merchant was even born. After a minute of walking Orion finally reached the end of the tunnel. A the end of the tunnel was a room that had smooth walls. There were some hairline cracks in the walls from which some sort of plant started growing. The room had some crystals that were brighter than any other he saw before.
In the room there were a few wooden doors and one that looked like it was made from the same material as the walls. This specific door, had a symbol carved in it similar to the slavery curses. Orion decided to take his time so he went into the first door from the right. The door opened without any problems. As he opened it he saw a small room and inside there were a few shelves of books and a chair with a table in the middle. As he got closer he picked one up and a window popped up.
AlchemyDo you wish to learn this skill?
Warning: You will lose your current crafting skill.
-“No”
The window disappeared and Orion put the book down. After picking up a few other books he realized that these were all skill books. He didn’t learn anything since he needed to think carefully what was useful and what not. He got out of the room and entered the next one.
The second room was full of bars of metal. Using identify he found out that there 3 types of ore in the room. Steel, Black Steel, Mithril. Orion didn’t know anything about Black Steel and Mithril but he knew that they were very high grade. In the room there 60% steel bars and 30% Black Steel and only 10% Mithril.
Next he went into the third room. In this one there wasn’t only one specific item type. There were all sorts of items. But the item that caught Orisons eyes was in the corner of the room. It was a large egg, the size of a football, incased in some sort of amber. He used identify on it multiple times but it didn’t work. He picked it up and put it in his inventory since it was fragile. Other items in the room were a few rolls of silk, some old sculptures, a few items made from solid gold and silver and other items that seemed useless for the moment. Most importantly there were a lot of mana and health potions. There were some other potions but Orion didn’t inspect them.
The next room’s door was locked. Orion tried to force it open but it didn’t work. He went into one of the rooms and brought out an item that looked like a sword. Using that item he forced it open. Using all his strength the door snapped. The door was now open. As Orion entered he saw in the room chests made from steel each with a different sigil on them.
He approached one of the large chests and opened it. His jaw dropped when he saw what was inside the chest. Gold coins, the chest was full of gold coins. He quickly opened the rest of the chests and saw the same thing. In the smaller chests next to the big ones there were precious items like diamonds. In the whole room there was enough gold to live like a king for your whole life.
As he looked carefully at the sigils on the chests he saw that there were 3 different sigils. A sigil similar to a lion, one to a hawk and one to a snake. He recognized the sigils. These sigils were the same as the ones the richest nobles in the city had.
‘These chests must belong to the noble families that rule the city. Was the merchant that ……….trusted, that they gave him all this to keep in a safe place?’
He now entered in all the rooms except one. The one with the door made from rock. Orion tried to hit it with different items, like the hammer he found. After an hour of hitting the door ,nothing, not even a scratch. It seems that this door was built at the same place as the whole room and the cracks in the walls occurred probably over a very long time. As he tried different methods of opening the door he remembered the sigil on the door. He saw it in the book which helped him get free from slavery.
It was a symbol to seal and strengthen allowing passage only to its creator, or the ones its creator allows. Using his knowledge, on a piece of paper he painted a symbol that is the direct opposite. It took him Two whole hours of intense concentration since the design was very complicated and intricate. When he was finally done he picked up the paper and put it on the door. The paper disappeared and the door started to vibrate. Orion backed up since he didn’t know what might happen. The door continued to vibrate violently and a small crack started appearing from the bottom.
Suddenly the vibration stopped. The small crack on the bottom started to grow at an accelerated pace. In a few seconds the whole door was full of cracks. When cracks stopped appearing Orion approached the door. He put his hand on the door and as soon as he did the whole door collapse into a pile of rubble. After the dust settled Orion looked inside and couldn’t see anything. He went to one of the crystals in the large room and with his dagger he chipped one. As soon as a piece of it detached itself the glow stopped. Orion didn’t know why so he tried again. The same thing happened. Since he couldn’t take a crystal to light the room he took out a torch.
As he stepped into the room the flickering light of the torch made visible a single item in the room. On a stone pedestal there was only one item. A small book, the size of a grown man’s palm. The cover was made from some dark leather. Orion knew that this item was very old. Unconsciously his hand reached for the book. As soon as his finger tip touched the book a window appeared in front of him and realized what happened.
????Do you wish to use this item?
He knew that it wasn’t a skill book since it said use and not learn. With a strong powerful and clear voice he answered.
-“YES!”
The book turned to a mist like substance and entered Orion’s mouth and nose. Orion couldn’t breathe for a few seconds and when the process was over he gasped for air.
Inventory Expansion You have found an ancient legendary item that expanded your inventory to 1000x1000
As he saw the message his heart skipped a beat and he felt as if he had no power left in his legs resulting in him falling on his ass dropping the torch. He quickly recovered and exited the room. He checked his inventory and saw that his inventory was now massive. He went to the gold room and absorbed all the gold and gems. After taking every gold coin he now had two million gold coins and the gems would probably get him another million. He went to every room and put everything in his inventory.

Curious about the bioluminescence part of mana painting he touched the ground and mana started to flow out of him. The mana paint started flowing like a white river of light on the wall and up to the ceiling. He used up a big chunk of mana but now on the ceiling was something similar to a light bulb. It seems that absorbing mana from the paint requires to actually touch the paint.
After completely cleaning out the merchants stash he got out and was greeted by Gulliver. Who ate some of the goblins while waiting for Orion. Using his help he put the big rock back, covering the entrance. Together they exited the cave. While walking he got to know Gulliver, and learned that they can eat almost anything, even their own race. While walking Orion touched Gulliver’s hand and in an instant the mark of friendship appeared on the wrist of the goblin. When asked what happened Orion just told him that .
-”The mark is a sign of being friends with me”
Gulliver just grinned and stared at the mark as they walked to Fenilo. It was already dusk and it started to get dark. Gulliver ran pretty fast so Orion didn’t have to slow down much while running to Fenilo. As they approached the lake house Orion heard some cheers and noises coming from the direction of the house. He told Gulliver to wait for him in that place and headed carefully towards the edge of the forest to see what is going on at the house. ’I have a bad feeling about this’
As he arrived at the edge he crouched in one of the bushes and saw that there was a large group of bandits, about 30 of them in a circle. As he observed them, they all went silent and Orion could only hear.
-“Where is it?! I asked where!!!”
Orion recognized the voice. It was Sig’s. He was in the center of the crowd, and so was Fenilo. Orion quickly ran towards them and jumped to the center of the crowd. What he saw shocked him. Fenilo was shaking, on one knee, spitting out blood the only thing keeping him from falling was his sword. Sig was standing over him with a sword in his hand. Orion quickly went to Fenilo’s side to see if he’s ok.
‘It seems he was poisoned.’
