Repair this
Orion received a quest to escape. He just had one major problem. Orion had no idea how to escape the curse. While studying the curse on his chest for a few minutes he was interrupted by a fat bandit and 3 average ones. They all had a large bag in their hands that they handed to Orion and ordered him to fix everything inside until tomorrow. Before leaving the fat one said
-“Hey worm! If you don’t finish fixing them until tomorrow you won’t get any food”
Orion opened the bags and there were a few swords, daggers and a few pieces of armor. There were 23 items in total that needed to be repaired. Orion took out the smallest dagger and as he held it in his hands he whispered “Repair”. The dagger’s blade was no longer cracked near the edges but otherwise it looked the same. Then he noticed. He had no more mana. The skill used up all his mana just to repair some cracks.
He wondered how much time it takes to recover his mana without meditating. While waiting for his mana to regenerate he decided to search through the garbage in the back of the room. There was a huge pile of different items. Orion started to sort them by type. In one pile he started putting the books and scrolls he found, in another weapons, in another another armor and clothing and in the last one he put everything else he found that didn’t fit in any of the categories.
After 15 minutes of sorting he noticed that his mana regenerated. It seems that it takes 1 minute to recover 1 MP. Orion went back to the bags and picked up the dagger again and used repair on it. This time the dagger regained some of its color, the rust disappearing. But he was drained again. Orion went back to sorting the items.
After repeating this process a few times it seemed that he could no longer use repair on the dagger. He used it a total of 5 times on a single dagger. While he was studying the dagger a window appeared in front of him

He used identify on the dagger.

It seemed that with his current skill it would take a longer time than he thought to repair the items. Orion had no choice and had to repair the items to get food. He took out the next dagger and used identify and then repair on it .When he had no more mana, Orion used meditation to recover his MP faster. After a few hours he finished repairing the items. He was tired and decided to rest for a bit before doing anything else.
He used meditation since using it would calm him but also would relieve fatigue. As he went deeper into meditation he started to see the strands of mana entering his body. They weren’t many but they were definitely there. This time after observing the mana for a while he noticed that some strands of a lighter color were leaving his body. He figured that since he already recovered all his mana, it had no place to be stored in his body so it was released back.
Orion suddenly felt that he was on to something. He tried to keep the mana in his body but couldn’t control it. Finally after a five hours he finally could stop some of the mana from leaving his body but eventually some of the strands escaped.
+2 mana
+1 health
+1 strength
+1 agility
He was surprised by this notification. He figured it had something to do with mana but why did his agility and strength also increase. It made no sense. After a few minutes of thinking he gave up and continued to sort through the items in the room.
Not long after he started sorting through the items he was interrupted by the three bandits that left the items to repair.
-“Did you finish the repairs?”
-“Yes…”
-“Good. Now take these three breads and bottle of water. You will receive more items to repair soon”
He threw on the ground three breads and a flask of water. They took out the bags with the items. Orion picked up the bread and water. He ate one of the breads. The bread tasted like wet sand in his mouth but he still ate one. Then he drank some water to get rid of the taste. He put them in a corner on a big rock so that the breads at least are not on the floor.
Having nothing else to do he went back to sorting the items. After two hours or so, he finished. While sorting he used identify on all the items. After finishing identifying the last item he drank some water and then decided that he will start with the first pile, the books and scrolls. There were 10 books that were in good condition and 3 that were almost ruined. There were also 20 scrolls, 8 of which were unreadable. He tried to use repair on the 3 books and 8 scrolls, but nothing happened.
There were two books from which had information about crafting. After finishing the books Orion pondered on the pros and cons of each. However in the end he decided that he will learn blacksmithing when he had the chance.
The rest of the books were useless, they had stories of some adventurers. He then looked at the scrolls. The scrolls had information’s about some shipments, materials. They must have belonged to a merchant. While reading them, as he focused on the contents, without realizing Orion injected some mana into the scrolls revealing a map with an x on it. Orion was surprised and realized this could be the storage of a merchant.

The scroll revealed a map leading to a merchants storage.
You could find something if you go search the storage.Do you accept this quest?
Orion nodded and accepted the quest. He then tried to use this method on the other scrolls but they were all normal scrolls with useless information.
He looked at the second pile and if was full of rusty weapons. There were a few items that Orion could use but he was still under the curse and couldn’t hurt any of the bandits.
Orion approached the armor pile. Among them, he found something that was described as villagers clothing. That was the only thing that Orion could use. It was a brown shirt that was a bit big for him but he had no choice since the other one was ripped when the curse was put on him.
Then he approached the last pile. Here were mostly crafting materials like ores, bones and some pelts. They were all the most common materials found. The bandits didn’t care about cheap things so they threw everything that seemed useless in here.
Orion then used repair on everything there was inside the room then when the mana depleted he meditated. After few hours he no longer could repair anything.
He then put everything back the way it was. It looked like in the beginning, like a pile of garbage.
He took only some of the armor and pelts. He put the armor on the ground and on top of it the pelts. Now he didn’t have to sit on the hard, cold floor. He then checked his skill progress.

Jake got out of the pod and went to sleep. The next morning he ate as much as he could, took a shower and then instead of going back into Tale of Adventure he went to the computer. He started searching theories about chi, energy and meditation. From what he noticed mana was similar to chi. Although he never belived chi existed he started to search the web as much information as he could.
After reading some theories he found one that could possibly be what he saw in the game. He found out that the body can only hold a certain amount of chi and only by training hard and for a long time you can increase the ammount of chi the body can hold. This was exactly like the mana pool.
Jake then read something that was similar to this but different. It seems that it’s true that the body can hold only a certain amount of chi in you blood, but you can also hold small amounts of chi in every cell of you body. The amount of chi you can hold in a cell depends on the person but the difficult part of this is opening your cells to the chi and storing them inside them. After storing some chi in the cells the body’s ability increases.
Jake got quickly in the pod to test what he just read. As soon as he got into the game he was notified that he was losing health. He was now in danger of diyng. Suddenly the pain stopped.
„Get up now! You need to repair these items. The next time you are asleep and i need you to repair something i will hit you untill you die! You got that!?”
The bandit was shouting at the young boy that was on the ground with low health points. It seems that the bandits would kill him if he is not carefull and although he would revive in 24 hours he would still be cursed and under the orders of the bandits. If they found out this fact they would kill him for fun multiple times untill they got bored.
