Chapter Seven

----------------------------------------

I prowl forward, growling faintly with annoyance. The scent of wolves filled the air. Wolves had been coming into my territory, and trying to chase me, a True Fenrir, out of my territory. No True Fenrir would ever let this pass, especially not one blessed by dragons! I track the scent of three wolves deeper into my territory, towards a stream. I break into a loping run, moving quickly. Not that they know I’m following them.

I finally walk out of the trees to see a light gray female wolf running from two males. “You’ll never escape the wrath of Alpha!” The brown male howls. “She won’t save you.” Ah. They’re talking about me. Nice.

“Hello.” I said, sitting with my tail curled neatly around my paws. “I think you’re in my territory.” The males turn towards me, baring their fangs and growling. “I think you should leave now. Before I have to kill you.” They bristle. “The pack is many, and you are but one. The pack will never stop!” The smaller one, a black, growls.

I fade from their sight as I activate my newest ability, Wind Runner. Reappearing on the side, I sink my fangs into the closest one. The other wolf gapes in horror as I snap the black’s neck, killing him instantly. “You killed him!” I shrug. “I said I would.”

He pounces, trying to knock me down. I lash out with a paw, crushing his skull easily. I turn to the last wolf, a gray female with black and white markings, her haunches covered in wounds. “I…” She coughs, “Pledge my loyalty to you, and vow never to betray you.”

Would you like to accept Grade F [Dire Wolf] into your pack?

After some hesitation I replied. “I accept.”
