Hina grasped Little Chi’s hand as if it were fragile porcelain.
“I’m here, Little Chi. I’m here now.”
“Hina…”
Little Chi forced a weak smile as Hina leaned closer.
“Tell me. What happened?”
“He saved… me.”
“Who? Amon?”
Ever so slightly, Little Chi nudged her head to either side.
“Who then?”
“He sang to me, it was h-him.”
She struggled to speak, only managing a whisper. Drowsiness floated in her every word as her body threatened to shut down.
“Sang?...”
Hina’s eyes lit up, her heart thumped and her thoughts ran wild.
Dauntless Hero Enjoyer is Kohi Demon? So he really is attending academy, but who? I’ve investigated every male for the last three years. Wait… Amon knows…
“Okay, I’ll thank him properly one day. Now… tell me who hurt you.”
Hina shifted to a dark tone with clear intentions—revenge.
Little Chi’s eyes drooped low as a rush of emotions assaulted her.
“N-no you can’t…”
She passed out the next moment, leaving Hina to brood alone by her side.
Little Chi said no because she doesn’t want war. However, I will find the one responsible. I’ll bring them to their knees for you.
Hina stood up, wiped her eyes, and fixed her outfit.
“Rest well.”
She exited the medical room and rejoined the others, who quieted down the moment she entered.
“Amon, I didn’t get a chance to express my thanks. Could I ask you a few questions?”
She faced the window, watching her maid silently recover.
“Of course, anything to help.”
“Senzy, could you wait outside?”
“Yes, Lady Luo.”
“We’ll give you guys some space, come along girls.”
The director ushered Nia and Ren toward the exit as well. He shuffled out the room, but not before giving Amon a secret wink.
Amon’s chest beat a little faster after suddenly finding himself alone with the very person he was infatuated with.
Could this be? Is this the chance?!
“Amon.”
“Y-yes?”
Hina spoke without even glancing in his direction, her eyes fixed on Little Chi. Taking it as an opportunity to get closer, Amon stood by her side, also inspecting the poor maid.
“Dauntless Hero, who might that be? Is that you?”
“Uh…er, sort of. It’s a joke of a name.”
“A joke? So it’s you then.”
“Yes…”
He didn’t end up choosing Dauntless Hero as his username for PSI World, but there was nothing he could do to clear the air because the target of the joke was, in fact, himself.
“Then who is Dauntless Hero Enjoyer?”
Hina asked her question without skipping a beat, subtlety attempting to learn the true identity of her mysterious idol.
“That… I can’t say.”
Jun said to leave him out of this. Also, if this issue blows up any further with the Donatelli family, I don’t want to trouble Sir Sahves with extra burdens.
“I wish to thank him personally. You can’t say who saved my dearest maid?”
“I never said it was a boy.”
There was a brief pause.
If you come across this story on Amazon, it's taken without permission from the author. Report it.
“Apologies, I didn’t mean to assume.”
“That’s okay, is there anything else?”
“Yes, perhaps I can thank them within PSI World? Do you happen to know their username?”
That bastard, I just realized he never told me his username!
His eyebrow twitched in annoyance. They were supposed to do missions together!
“Er… no, I don’t know.”
“Oh, that’s okay. Did he start the tutorial with our senior class? Perhaps there’ll be an opportunity to run into each other.”
“Yea that bastard is in the tu-“
Amon stopped himself before glancing sideways at Hina.
“You referred to him as a boy again, do you know who it is?”
“Possibly.”
So he still attends our academy? Which professor is he under? Someone who just started the tutorial… who could it be?
Hina mentally ran through the list of everyone she knew, but not a single one could match the man in her dreams.
At the same time, Amon sensed Hina’s lack of interest and couldn’t help feeling downcast. However, overcoming setbacks was one thing that Amon specialized in.
Why do I feel like this was never a chance for me, but for him?
He had to think of a new approach in order to get closer to her. His eyes drifted toward the resting maid in the medical room.
Little Chi? Is this the chance he was referring to all along? Wait! He’s actually a genius!
Amon revealed a small smile as his one tracked mind concocted a new plan of attack. But first, he had to move the conversation away from his diabolical friend.
“If you know who it is, then you will understand that he doesn’t like to involve himself in matters such of these.”
Hina’s eyes widened as Amon confirmed her thoughts.
“Of course… it was my fault for imposing on him.”
It really was him! Kohi Demon! And Amon even knows him personally?!
I’m surprised she took notice of Little Jun. He always keeps to himself, since when did he make friends with Hina?
Both Hina and Amon had differing thoughts. Even though they were thinking of the same being, it was two radically different personas.
To Hina, this was possibly one of the most important moments in her life—finding out the identity of Kohi Demon.
However to Amon, this was just another day, perhaps with a bit more excitement. There couldn’t possibly be anything interesting about his friend who lazes about all day.
Either way, Amon figured since Hina knew the identity of Little Chi’s savior, she could just thank him in person. More importantly, it was time for him to begin his primary method of attack.
“So, Little Chi. She’ll be in our care, is there anything I can do to help with her recovery? Perhaps her favorite food, or maybe if she has a favorite pastime. A hobby?”
With renewed fervor, Amon asked an endless stream of question regarding Little Chi, and for the first time during their entire talk, Hina finally glanced in his direction.
Does Amon like Little Chi?

In the city of Heldov, parties raved and gamblers raged.
People from all walks of life explored the vast city and all of its exotic splendors. Businesses boomed as colorful signposts advertised their wares and services.
Excitement filled every inch of the city, except for one building.
“What I wouldn’t give for the club to open once more.”
A pair of men walked by the building as one of them commented with a sigh.
“Oh knock it off, Bjorn. How many times do I gotta hear that?”
“But Sir Hando, I know you wish it were open too.”
“Maybe… but if that club were open, how could I afford to restart my business?”
Both men chuckled as they went about their day, reminiscing of a spectacular moment in time. They were some of the rare few who witnessed the legendary Kohi Demon sing live on stage.
It was a moment they would never forget.
At the same time, their talented singer had just finished a grueling workout.
Jun wiped a wet towel across his face and chugged a luminous green tonic. He could feel his muscles improving rapidly, becoming stronger, more dense, and more tone.
Despite how much effort he put in, for some reason his muscles refused to grow in size.
Am I doomed to always look so wimpy? On second thought, do I even want to look like Bennon?
He glanced across the training floor.
“Hup! Hah!”
The clack and clang of swords reverberated in the air as Bennon and Myra danced back and forth in a spar.
“If you keep blocking inefficiently you won’t be able to-“
“Hurg..oww.”
“See. You can’t block something so simple with such wasted movement.”
Myra keeled onto the floor as her lower lip pouted.
“You’re just going too difficult on me.”
“Nonsense. If it was the Boss then it would be too easy.”
Myra tilted her head to the side. This was the first time she had ever heard Bennon refer to Jun as Boss.
“Bennon, it’s time I head into the tutorial.”
Jun came forward, causing Myra’s eyes to gleam with happiness. He was here to save her from this hellish training session!
“How is she, do you think she’s caught up enough to be of any use? Like… at all?”
She quickly frowned and resumed her defiant pout.
“I’m useful…”
She muttered as Bennon gave her an incredulous look.
“Not useful as of yet… is what I would like to say. Although she isn’t up to par with even the lowest of my standards, I suspect she might be able to begin her journey anew at this point. Provided she continues her daily training with Ciena and myself.”
Myra’s mouth opened, astonished at Bennon’s assessment.
“Y-you mean it? You’re not lying?”
Her eyes lit up and a witless smile bloomed.
“Unfortunately I am not lying. I wager she could even join an adventure’s guild as a bottom feeder and work her way up.”
Myra’s smile vanished upon hearing his choice of words.
“You didn’t have to say it like that…”
Her heart couldn’t take any more of this rollercoaster. Fortunately, Jun saved her from further embarrassment.
“It’s settled. Myra, journey once more into PSI World. Bennon, you train her here during the day. I feel you’re the one more suited for it, whereas...”
Jun looked around the room before continuing.
“Where’s Ciena?”
“She’s currently handling business in PSI World.”
Bennon shrugged as he replied.
“I see. Well, have Ciena assist Myra in PSI World. I understand that Ciena has branched into most class selections, so I think she’ll be more helpful in dealing with… this.”
Jun gestured toward Myra as if she were an unknown mess.
One would have thought that Myra might have felt dismayed, or maybe put down, by Jun. However, it was far from the truth.
Inside, she was as giddy as can be. First, Bennon acknowledged her efforts in a roundabout way, and now Jun had started treating her differently.
It was as if, for the first time, she belonged somewhere. For the first time, she had a way forward, a path she could walk, a future she could explore.
All of this was possible because of the boy before her, who, at some point, she no longer saw as some elitist child. Instead, he had become the dependable mountain in the backdrop that was her life.
She stared at Jun with doe eyes as a warm feeling spread throughout her body.
“You look feverish. Make sure you get that checked before entering PSI World.”
Jun remarked as he walked away.
“Neglecting your health is all fun and games until you fall sick in the middle of combat. How disastrous would that be. Dying a miserable death.”
He didn’t bother looking back at the young maiden as he carved a path toward his room. It was time to get back to his own hell, one that involved a fitted black dress and a posse of fawning girls.
