“Whaaa! Xin what an incredible shot! How were you able to find the leader?”
Shireen vigorously shook Jun’s shoulders the moment they all phased into Tutorial City. The rest of the group removed their winter coats, storing them inside their system inventories.
“Aheh, I just had a really good view from my position.”
Jun scratched his head as he gave a random excuse. Even from the cliffside it would have been impossible to find the leader using normal eyesight.
“Even still! It’s incredible that you could make a shot like that! Whereas me, I just hit things… hard.”
Shireen took a step back and punched her knuckles together with a grin.
“Stop pestering our little Xin.”
Lulu came to the rescue with a friendly bonk to Shireen’s head.
Jun took the opportunity to shed his own winter gear with a small twirl, revealing his beautiful black outfit that seemed to fit curves he didn’t know he had.
He grimaced while looking down at his reminder. Ignoring Lulu’s question, he cast his attention to the system display in anticipation.
I finally collected enough tutorial points to reach C rank.
A small smile graced his lips, causing the traffic surrounding the group to briefly slow to a crawl. In his current getup, he was almost indistinguishable from a beautiful blossoming flower.
“Wow, look at the beauty.”
“Shut up, don’t let your girlfriend catch you staring.”
“If only…”
Numerous men went home that night dreaming of something that was never meant to be. At the same time, many women were thrown into a state of confusion attempting to decipher their own desires.
Jun looked up from his system display to inform Lulu about his new tutorial ranking.
“I made it to C rank.“
“Oh! Now we can do the B rank missions. Ah! Sela! We did it!”
Sela made a timely appearance around the corner, causing the group of girls to rush up to her with Jun following shortly after.
Each of the girls were expecting positive words of confirmation from their mentor.
“Yes, yes. Took you long enough. I bet it would have taken you girls even longer if it weren’t for our dear Xin, but that’s just my hunch.”
The girls nervously looked at each other the moment Sela rebuked them. Their silence was all Sela needed to know that she had hit the nail on the mark, causing her to give a faint smirk.
“I’m just poking fun at you guys, don’t take it so seriously! If anything, you guys finished in half the time that I was expecting.”
Sela reassured them while patting Lulu on the shoulder. Lulu stared back at her in doubt.
“Really? We finished faster? You’re not lying, right?”
“You can look for yourselves on the mission board. You guys set a new record for that raid. Very impressive. Truly, a job well done.”
Everyone’s eyes lit up as they swiftly navigated to the completed mission. A moment passed by before the girls let out a vibrant cheer.
They couldn’t possibly have known that the Wendil raid was supposed to last at least another day, if not longer, before the leader would finally show itself in a rage. The condition for the leader to surface was to kill enough of its clan members to make it lose control of its patience.
However in this case, all of that was bypassed!
Jun easily located the Wendil leader within the depths of the canyon where visibility was at an all-time low. He even ended the leader’s life with a single shot that was laced with incredible power.
The celebratory moment only lasted for a short while before Lulu organized herself and leaned in close to Sela.
“So… were you able to find anyone that fit the criteria?”
Lulu put on her best set of puppy eyes. This was something that meant more to her than setting some record in a C rank raid.
Sela merely formed a wry smile before giving Lulu an odd look.
“Some guy who is incredibly talented? Come on now. We both know that any guy here will pale in comparison to my fiancé. How am I supposed to look for talent under these conditions? That’s not even including the fact that I don’t actually want to investigate other guys at all.”
Lulu frowned upon hearing Sela’s reply. She stomped her foot on the ground in frustration and glared at her sister angrily.
“This is more important than whatever nonsense you’re thinking of! You have to find him! Trust me, he’ll be so talented that even your fiancé won’t be able to hold a candle to him!”
Sela folded her arms across her chest before letting out a sigh. How could she expect Lulu, who was naïve in the ways of the world, to understand just how incredible her fiancé was.
“I did look around… I’m sorry Lulu, I just couldn’t find anyone that fit your standard. I’ll admit that I did use him as my base line… but if the person you’re looking for is that talented… then I should have been able to find them.”
Sela could already detect her sister’s downcast mood. This was the core reason why she didn’t want to admit to searching for Lulu’s missing person, because she didn’t want Lulu to feel let down.
“Uhh, don’t worry. I’m sure he’s still out there. Tutorial City is huge and has multiple instances, you know? I can’t search everywhere. Besides, if you’re looking for someone talented… look no further than our very own Xin!”
Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.
Sela made a bright smile and fished Jun out from the group of girls. Dragging him by the hand, she then put him on full display as if he were a showpiece. They could imagine a small spotlight appearing over his head with glitter and sparkles swirling about.
Jun let out a quiet cough of embarrassment while Lulu cracked a small smile before nodding in agreement.
“Yup, our Little Xin is super talented.”
Jun shook his head before excusing himself.
“Time for me to sign out for today… I’ll be back later!”
Without another word, he disappeared on the spot, which then caused a chain reaction amongst the rest of the group.
“Ahhh! We have to get ready for academy. Lulu hurry up or you’ll be late!”
Tiana, Nelath, and Shireen and signed out one after another, leaving behind Sela and Lulu to finish their discussion.
“Who’s this person you’re looking for anyway? It’s for Legion isn’t it?”
Sela inquired with raised eyebrows.
“Ehh, umm… yes. I’m only saying this to you because you’re my sister, and I trust you a lot. But this person is incredibly important to Legion. If it’s who I think it is… it wouldn’t be a stretch to say he’s the core of Legion itself.”
Lulu glanced around hesitantly as she said that, while Sela merely stared at Lulu with her mouth open.
“W-What do you mean? The core of-“
“Shh! Don’t speak so loud!”
Sela lowered her voice, leaning in closer.
“We’re talking about the same Legion, right?”
Lulu gave a small nod.
“The Legion that is able to pull connections from virtually every high power in the Ancestral Plane?”
“The same.”
“…”
The two sisters shared a moment of eye contact before Sela shook her head.
“Fine, I’ll look again, but no promises. I’m only going to search for this person until we leave the tutorial. You and I have many things to do after you’re done here. Okay?”
Lulu beamed a brilliant smile towards her older sister before nodding energetically.
“Thank you! My wonderful sister loves me so much! I’m off to class now!”
She disappeared a moment later, leaving Sela to process the new information she acquired.
Someone talented enough to be the core of Legion… perhaps they really are more talented than my fiancé? Huh… that’s impossible.
She shook her head one last time before walking off into the distance, beginning her hopeless search for a hidden talent amongst the multitude of PSI users.

Jun was pressed for time immediately after returning to the Ancestral Plane. Originally, he planned to skip today’s class session in the event that his mission took too long. However, as it turns out, he could barely make it on time if he hurried.
Dressed in his most comfortable sweater, he raced off to class from his former clubhouse. Before long, he eventually found himself nestled into a familiar chair.
How did I end up an hour early… Is my sense of time so off?
He palmed his forehead as he looked around the empty classroom. Was it the empty airways? The lack of cloudsplitter traffic? Or perhaps was his sense of time simply off by a large margin?
Either way, now that he was here, there was only one thing left to do.
With a plop, Jun burrowed his head within his arms and entered a blissful sleep. All he had to do was stay in school and attend class, that was his promise to Lisa.
So here he was, in class… sleeping.
The hour quickly passed by with more students trickling in. Naturally each student was used to the sight of Jun sleeping at his seat, so they paid him no attention. Instead, they had much more exciting things to talk about.
“Did you guys make it to D rank? I did! Me and my group formed an incredible team. We’ve been clearing missions back-to-back. Are you jealous?”
One boy bragged confidently to his group of friends who listened with rapt attention. Someone nearby leaned in after hearing this only to ruin the mood.
“So what if you made it to D rank. Did you know each rank takes exponentially longer to reach than the one before? By the time you get halfway through B rank, you’ll already be out of time in the tutorial. Only the best can make it to A rank within the 100 days.”
The boy sat back in his chair with a smug expression after seeing a defeated look on the original speaker.
“My older sister told me that anyone can make it to A rank if they find a stable group and put in hard work.”
“You think missions will always be so easy?”
“Well I have to at least try!”
The banter continued as more students found their seats.
Eventually, bell-like laughter could be heard from a few women making their entrance. They were especially noticeable due to one of them in particular, who was like the peaceful moon surrounded by bright stars.
Hina maintained the same graceful stride that she always had along with her signature cold expression. Her light blue gown rippled between her legs with each step, until she finally took a seat.
One boy sitting across the room jabbed his friend next to him and whispered in his ear.
“Hey man, there’s Hina. Weren’t you going to ask her out?”
The friend blushed from ear to ear before giving a retort.
“I kind of already did… rejected. Badly.”
Conversations like this were most common amongst the male population at the academy.
At the same time, it was wildly understood that one would first need to get past Little Chi before they could even try talking to Hina. It was as if Little Chi was an attack dog, ready to pounce at even the slightest movement.
After a few minutes, a particular girl made their entrance. This time, everyone sucked in their breath as their eyes unconsciously popped out of their sockets.
Myra’s fiery hair was curled on both sides, which was a unique look for her, but most shocking of all was her choice of outfit. She wore a ruby red button-up shirt that was tied off above her belly button, while her frayed, charcoal-black shorts created an enticing contrast with her milky white thighs.
At the very minimum she was a distraction but simply calling her a distraction was putting it nicely.
The entire room went quiet as Myra filtered through the entry way. Her eyes quietly darted about before she found her target.
Just as everyone expected, she started making her way towards Hina, whom of which frowned and subtly refused eye contact.
“There she goes again, causing trouble.”
Someone made an idle comment as Myra closed the distance. Just when everyone thought that the princess was going to confront Hina—she walked right past her!
She continued until she found herself standing in front of one individual in particular, who was quietly dreaming in peace.
A boy sitting next to Jun looked at Myra defensively. The entire class could tell that Myra was staring down at Jun, but no one had any idea what she was going to say or do next.
“H-Hey… you can bully other people but… but leave this kid alone.”
“Yea! Leave Jun alone, he’s just sleeping!”
Soon enough, more people chimed in.
Although it made no sense, somehow everyone randomly joined together, becoming a bastion of protection for Jun. It was like he was some sort of keepsake for the entire class.
Jun didn’t interact with anyone and he never caused trouble, which was odd for a teenager. It’s not that everyone loved him, but it was more like everyone didn’t hate him.
Not a single student in the entire academy consciously disliked Jun. They simply had no reason to.
“Myra if you’re going to pick on Jun then I won’t stand by and just watch. What has he done to you? He keeps to himself and doesn’t bother anyone. Just let him be!”
The boy who sat next Jun became increasingly brave as more and more people defended his statements. However, at this moment he pondered whether he had gone too far.
Myra eyed the speaker with a frown and bent eyebrows. She fixated her intense gaze on her new target who squirmed uneasily.
“Move.”
She gave the boy a command, which only caused more confusion.
“W-What do you mean move?”
“I said, out of the seat. I’m taking that spot.”
Myra folded her arms and tapped her foot impatiently. Although she acted spoiled in every sense of the word and her personality was particularly rotten, one couldn’t deny that she was a kingdom toppling beauty.
The boy gulped before breaking eye contact with Myra.
He gave Jun’s sleeping frame an apologetic look before packing his things and sought another seat. It simply wasn’t worth making an enemy out of Myra.
“Hm.”
The moment the boy left, Myra promptly sat in his former spot under the watchful eyes of the entire class.
“What do you guys want?”
Seeing as she wasn’t doing anything else, everyone looked away in confusion. Soon enough, whispers slowly spread throughout the class.
“What was all of that about?”
“I don’t know, do you think Jun did something?”
“That’s impossible right?”
At that moment, the professor walked in, and at the same time Myra made one last action that gave the class another shock.
She repositioned even closer to Jun, such that their bodies were almost touching.
