As they stepped off the last step, the party was at first
mesmerized by the overwhelming beauty of the city.
There where two streams on each side of the city flowing
down towards the well. An assortment of flowerbed on
each windowsill of every house. The colors of the flowers
were deep, and made your very soul feel calm. The sent of
cinnamon filled the air, and the dirt roads that lead to the
entry way of each house had peppermint growing on each
side. You could tell from the barely visible wood panels
on each side, that their roots were boxed in as to not
spread everywhere. There were birds of many colors
flying from tree top to tree top. Their song gave your
mind peace. Music could be heard coming from the
center of the city. The melody was that of a piano, and
the voice of to young woman sang to that melody.
The party was silent as they listened to the music.
It took them a little while before they even realized they
had now become accustomed to the sensation of being
upside down, and no longer felt the pressure of the
blood flowing to their heads.
Temple was the first to speak any words. “This is amazing!
it reminds me of when I was twelve, and my family took
my brother and I on a vacation, in a small town which was
having a music festival.” Willow was the next to say what
was on her mind. “It reminds me of the time a tried to learn
how to play the harp, though a gave up before I could even
play a single song.” Wave looked over at Shadow who
seemed to be almost dancing to the uplifting melodies.
“Aw, how cute!” Violet’s words left her mouth before
she could even think about what she said. Violet’s face
turned red from how embarrassed she felt, after saying
that so loudly. No one could seem to understand why
Violet seemed so embarrassed.
Sky passes his hand through one of the streams, before
pointing out what should have been obvious. “Hey guys
how are neither of these streams falling to the ground?”
It took the party about five minutes before they could
comprehend what it was that Sky was getting at. “The
water is likely magnetic as well.” Aurora trying to
come up with the best answer, replied. Wave looks
at everyone before speaking with a shocked tone.
“Magnetic water, whoever heard of such a thing.”
Violet took out one of her canteens and motions to
Wave. “Why not test that theory with some iron.”
Wave pulls out some iron from his backpack.
Violet pours out some of the water, as Wave brings
the iron under it. Sure enough they iron is pulled
upwards through magnetism, and prevents anymore
water from falling out of the canteen.
Willow, Sky, Aurora, and Temple are in aw at the
event that just took place. “So it really is magnetic!”
Willow excitedly throws these words from her mouth
with a huge grin on her face afterwards. Willow pulls
the iron off of the canteen and starts to drink some
of the magnetic water. Everyone else in the party
has the very same thought, aside from Temple who
has just meet the party. (That is Willow for you.)
A man arrives behind their party. “I see, you are enjoying
our water.” The man chuckles to them. The party is looking
down at his feet, there is nothing on them. “How is he not
falling to the ground right now?” Wave whispers to everyone.
No one has an answer or at least they do not have one at this
moment. “It has been about nine years since we last had
any visitors. Come along I will introduce you to our city
workers.” The man gestures for them to follow him. The
party does not see any harm in doing so, and with that
they head deeper into the city.
“This here is our cow farm, we use it to make milk as
well as some meat.” The man leads them around the cow
farm. “Do you think we will be able to buy some meat
from them Violet?” Willow’s words leave Violet thinking.
(I beat I could cook these cows with a nice bonfire.) Violet
politely nods to Willow. “Yeah I think we should be able to
once we are able to explore on our own.” Wave notice just
Before Violet answering Willow’s question she was fiddling
with an empty match box. ( I have some idea about what
Was on Violets mind at the time.) Wave goes over all the
possible scenarios in his head.
“This here is the tailors, the owner is a woman in her
twenty's, and she makes some of the best clothing
using the silk from sheep duck feathers. I must let
you all know though that her supplies have been
running low as of late.” The man shows them one
of the articles of clothing he had mentioned, and
Motions them all to touch it. The piece of clothing
feels soft like petting a dog, and looks like it will
dry quickly if it becomes wet.
“This is one of the best places in town, our bakery
offers one piece of each baked good, free every
day, meaning if you want to have more of the
Same item you will have to pay for it.” This
prospect of getting a bunch of free food everyday
made the party understand why the man had said
It was the best place in the city.
Willow stomach growled. A family of a young
woman, her husband and their two girls came out
from behind the counter. “Here miss, this is our stores
lemon, apple caramel, cake.” One of the girls offering
Willow a piece. Willow took a bite. The sour of the lemon,
mixed with the smooth taste of the apple, was farther
complemented by the sweetness of the caramel, and then there
was the soft rich texture of the cake itself, which all just melted
in her mouth. “So how is it Willow.” Wave laughing to himself
while watching her face being stuffed with
the cake.
“More please!” Willow’s words could
almost not be made out by anyone. “Sorry, one of
each item per customer is free, then you half to
pay if you want the same thing.” The girl to the
opposite side of the one who passed her the cake said.
Willow was disappointed, but then asked. “What else
may I have for free today?” The mother smirks. “I got
just the treat for you.” The woman goes to the bake
of the store and brings back a cookie, which is topped
with ice cream. “This is our banana oatmeal delight.”
Willow takes a small bite before shoving the whole
cookie into her mouth. The taste of the banana ice cream
blends well with the dark chocolate chips, and the oatmeal
that has a small hint of ginger and cinnamon.
The rest of the party soon tries some of the free food.
Wave gets a piece of chocolate that is filled with raspberries
and has a light orange cream. Sky tries a piece of their cheese
cake, which on the end has a crust that is made from carrot
Cake. Violet tries some french vanilla, cheery pie. The crust
itself is made with vanilla, while the rest is a normal cherry
pie.
Temple gets so cinnamon buns, which are topped with
a sweet blueberry ice cream. Willow is now spending
almost all her quartz to buy a large amount of each
baked good.
“This is the location of our blacksmith’s, it has not
been in use for the past two years, well at least not
to make weapons anyways.” The party could not
help but wonder the reason it was no longer in being
used for weapon creation, after the man ended his
sentence.
“You see that there, we use alchemy at that shop, although
right now we only sell the items, since the only person who
could produce results with alchemy has died last year ” The
man’s voice seemed to indicate his feelings of melancholy.
The party’s next words were sympathetic. “We are sorry
for your loss.” The man looks at them before saying. “I
have had plenty of time to grieve, though a lot of the
people in the city have still not got over her death.”
Everyone is silent for a short while, they want to
pay respect to the one who has died.
“Here we come to the herbal garden, that there is
Our green house to keep a wide variety of herbs
available, to all our city people.” Wave could
hardly hold back his excitement upon seeing
all the herbs in the green house in front of them.
“Follow me inside, because you see I have
brought you to my home.” The man turns
the key to his house and leads them inside.
The party is brought to a single room, an
the man shuts the door behind himself. “This is my office,
Ensure your favorite authors get the support they deserve. Read this novel on the original website.
for you see I am the mayor of this city, my name is Northern
by the way.” The introduction is cut short, when a woman enters
the room with a pitcher of lemonade, and enough glasses for
everyone. “I hope you enjoy the lemonade my wife has made
for us, Southern seems to know just the right ratio for sugar
and lemon.” The man’s words seem to be an implied
thank you to his wife. Southern leaves the office.
“You may have noticed that a lot of places in the city
are either close down, or are running low on supplies.”
The man waits for the party to indicate that they understood
before continuing. “Well I have a request for you, the bridge
that leads to the hunting grounds has collapsed three years ago,
and no one seems to remember how to build one that does
not just get pulled into the river below. Do you think you
could help us with this task?” The party talks it over
before agreeing to build the bridge.
Quest accepted City bridge building
Quest
City bridge building
Most of the city people have not been able to get any
more supplies after their bridge has collapsed. The
City mayor has requested your party build a bridge
that will not be pulled into the water.
Reward: City passport, rings of magnetic flow
The party had no idea what the city passport was for, but
they had a pretty good idea as to the use of the ring of magnetic
flow. With that the party went to buy supplies for the bridge.
Willow purchased some rope nets, to make use of her net
skill in a more unique way. Violet bought a bunch of wooden
fence pieces, and was also about to use her skill in a unique
way. Temple purchased a bunch of screws. Wave was with
her when she was making the purchase. The shop owner
had the screws floating between his two hands, when he
removed his bottom hand, the screws came flying towards
Temple and himself, they just barley had time to duck.
“Sorry I forgot visitors are not like us, and can not just
put up their hands in response.” The shop owner gives his
apologizes to the two of them, and even gives a slight discount.
The party finds the location of the old bridge. It is located over
a canyon like area, with water flowing deep at the bottom.
“Why do you think their attempts to build a bridge keep failing?”
Wave is directing her question at Willow. “No idea.” Willow
sighs.
Wave hammers in two pieces of wooden fence, to form a peg
on each side. Willow ties a part of her rope net to each end.
Violet starts to place pieces of wooden fence inside the net
in a weaving fashion. Temple screws in the screws to the wood
and rope, in order for it to hold longer. The final product is a
very strong and sturdy rope bridge. Wave starts to levitate and
grabs another two pieces of wooden fence to make pegs on the
other side of the canyon. Wave hammers them into the ground
as well. He heads back to the other side to grab on side of the
rope bridge, while Aurora grabs the other. Sky picks up Temple
and they all levitate to the other side. They tie the bridge rope
to the pegs, while temple screws them in tightly.
While letting go of the rope both Aurora and Wave feel
a strong tug. Once their hands are no longer on the rope,
the bridge is pulled deeply into the canyon and hits the
water. “Of course every thing here is magnetic, no wonder
they could never build another bridge!” Wave shouts angrily.
“There should be some solution, other wise we would not
Have been able to take on the quest in the first place.” Temple
says to Wave trying to calm him down. “For now how about
we go back to the city and restock on supplies for the bridge?”
Sky suggest to the party. Everyone seems to agree, but then
Willow makes an alarming statement. “Sorry but I have zero
Quartz.” There is a long awkward silence, before they had
into the city.
The rest of the party buys the same supplies they had got
before, and then came to a decision on what to do about
Willow’s end of supplies. Violet to the group. “How about
one of us spends some of our quarts for the nets, that Willow
should be buying?” “No, the burden should not be on just
one of us.” Sky answers her. “So we should all pool our
Quartz together, then have Willow be in our debt?” Wave
Infers to Sky’s meaning. Temple looks at them all. “Yeah
I think that is what he means.” Sky nods to indicate that it
is indeed what he had meant. With that the party pools
together and buy the needed net. They inform Willow
that she will have to pay them back at some point.
They are now all back at the canyon. “How are we going
to resolve the problem of the magnetic pull?” Willow has
a puzzled expression while asking everyone this question.
“Hey Temple did you buy any spare screws from the shop?”
Wave waits for Temple to answer him. “Yeah I did, but is
it that important?” “Maybe, give me two, I have a theory.”
Temple passes two of the screws she bought to Wave so
that he could test his theory. The party watches as one
of Wave’s fingers suddenly has a small spark on it.
Wave places this finger over one of the screws.
The party finds this strange, but what they do not
know, is that Wave is currently using spark and spark
flow to change the magnetic polarity of this one screw.
Wave has now changed the magnetic polarity. Wave
Holds the changed screw, just against the other screw.
The screw is hurled forwards towards the other party
Members. Temple sees a familiar seen taking place
and ducks immediately. It takes the rest of the party
members to catch on, but they mange to dodge it, well
most of them anyways. Aurora had almost dogged, but
did not mange to get far enough. Blood dripped down
from the scratch to her cheek. “Wave sit for a minute.”
Wave followed Aurora’s request without even thinking
about it. Wave got up after sixty seconds had passed.
Temple did not understand at all what just happened.
“You see I think I can do the same thing to the part
of the bridge that will be over the water.” “Why not
the whole bridge?” Aurora asks Wave after his clear
Statement. “No it would just all fly upwards if I did
that to the whole bridge.” After telling Aurora that, he
first changed the polarity of all the fence pieces, then
only the center of the net portion of the bridge. Like
Before they levitated over to the other side and tied
and screwed the rope to the fence pegs. Wave’s theory
Worked really well. The party tested the bridge several
Times. Only the party members that had levitate tested
It just to be safe. Once they were satisfied, they head
back to Northern and Southern’s home.
The party was offered some more lemonade, while they
waited for Northern to return. “So how did the bridge
building go?” Northern waits patiently for them to answer
him. Instead of answering him they motion for him to follow
Them. They lead him to the newly built bridge. Northern
Walks across the bridge. “You have done such a great
Deed to this city, please take these as our thank you.”
with the mayor’s words they had now completed the quest.
Quest complete
City bridge building
Your party had created a sturdy bridge, and
have found a way to prevent the bridge from
falling into the water, unlike the ones the city
People have tried to make. It might be wise
To explain how you have done it just in case
they ever need to build a new one again.
Reward gained: City passport, Ring of magnetic flow
City passport description: A special passport that
Can teleport you to the unnamed magnetic city in
the sky from anywhere in the world.
Ring of magnetic flow description: A ring that changes
one’s aura to a form of magnet energy while worn.
This ring needs to be charged under the Violet
Sun of the magnetic city before it can be used.
Warning the normal sun rays drain its charge.
Charge time three days.
The party knows that their new rings will be vital
The next time they come here. They will more then
likely be coming back her thanks to the city passport.
Now that the bridge can be used the party starts to
explore the other side. The first thing they find is
A clear meadow, which is likely were the tailor
use to get their supplies. Next they come to a cave
which is clearly marked with a sign that clearly
has the words mine written on it. “Do you think
the blade can be in the mine?” Willow asks, with
most of the question directed at Wave. “I doubt
It.” Wave replies to her. “Then where might it
be?” Temple’s tone seems to indicate that she is
confused and deep in thought. None of the party
Members can come up with an answer.
The party continues to walk around until they
come to a bunch of tall trees. “Are those woods?”
Aurora wants to know. “They might be or they
could be a jungle.” Violet coughs will trying to
Answer her. “It must be in here then!” Sky shouts
Surprising everyone. “Oh you mean the blade right?”
“Lets go inside them then.” Wave word seem like
they agree with what Sky and Temple just said.
Entering the tree covered area, the party is surrounded
by large pink moths, which are about three times their size.
Temple hurls some boulders at them, which allows the rest
of the party to dived into groups of three. Sky, Shadow, and
Violet are in one group. Aurora, and Willow are in another.
While Wave remains with Temple.
Wave gets standard lightning ready as soon as he
sees that Temples boulders are about to come down.
Striking each moth in one wing with his lightning,
they are set off balance. Temple pulls out a bow and
places a quiver on to her back. The bow seems different
to the ones he normally sees. The bow string is much
thicker, and the wooden part if the bow has a much
rounder tip at each end. Wave also notices at the center
of the bow it seems to be engraved much like if you
had put a ring around it. He then notice that the strings
center seems like it is woven together, but in such a way
that if it was pulled to the side and not the back it would
come apart. Temple has shot the moths in front of them.
“Look out behind you Temple.” With Wave’s warning
Temple quickly turns around. Instead of drawing an
arrow from her quiver, Temple grabs the bow at the
center with each hand at the location of the ring like
carving. Temple pulls up and the opposite direction
with each hand. Pulling up the wooden part of the bow
Splits it into two pieces. The pulling away undoes
the woven string it it is now in two pieces as well.
The site is kind of like unfastening a none lace shoe.
What is now in Temple’s hands are two whips that
She uses to finish off the moths behind her.
Aurora and Willow create some shadow steam
for both cover and damage to the moths they are
Fighting. Willow takes out her knife and jumps
Up to stab one of the moths in the stomach. Aurora
Launches an ice spear at the moth just behind the
one Willow is attacking. This ice spear is created
from her new standard ice skill.
Shadow and Sky are ducking for cover from all
The fireballs being hurled at that moths from Violet’s
sword. When ever they spot one on the ground they use
their pet skill to finish the flaming moth off.
Having cleared away all the moths the party continues
To walk deeper into the jungle/forest. They still have
yet to figure out which it is. The party arrives at a
Clearing. Just as they enter the clearing the trees
behind them fall to the ground blocking their
way back. In fact trees have fallen blocking all
other possible paths.
The party can hear rustling in the tree tops.
With out warning, aside from the rustling, a
Lizard the size of an elephant jumps down from
The tree top, and lands in the very center of the
Clearing. The lizard is a pale blue, with pink strips.
It sticks out its tongue, which is a dark pink with
a green strip. Oh make that two tongues, each the same
color and thickness. The hissing sound coming from
the tongues clearly showing its aggressiveness.
The party lifts their weapons up to fight. The lizard
suddenly has a glowing steam like fog around its
body. The party is being dragged towards the lizard.
Not sure as to why at first, but then Wave figures it
Out and quickly puts his claws into his backpack.
“Everyone put away your metallic weapons.” Wave’s
warning is to late and Willow and Violets sword and
Knife are hurled towards the lizard. The lizard catches
Them with each of its tongues.
There is not much the party can do about being sucked
in, as taking of their boots would make them hit the ceiling.
Once the party is close enough the lizard swings both weapons,
using its tongues as hands. Violet gets hit with one of her own
swords fireballs. Sky was in between both the knife and sword
so he got slashed with both. Shadow only got hit with the knife
since he was on the opposite side of Sky.
Upon seeing what was happening, all of the party
members who could use levitate are now floating
In the air. “What should we do to help the rest?”
Wave waits for someone to answer him. Aurora
responds. “I do not know, but at least the lizard
can not reach us from up here.” No one was sure if it
heard what she said, but suddenly the lizard jumped
up and tackled Willow to the ground. Everyone was
in shock after that. Due to the body weight of the
lizard, not only did Willow take massive damage but her
breath started to drop. Willow unleashed a standard shadow
flame so that the lizard would get off from on top of her.
This only lowered her Aura farther and she only had about
20 aura left. The lizard did get off of her though.
Lucky for Willow it wen after Violet, but to her shock,
The lizard suddenly turned around and swung Violet’s
Sword which made a fireball head directly towards her.
Temple jumped in the way but she was also low on health.
With that Temple was now a corpse.
They had to finish this off quickly, other wise Willow and
Temple would be sent back to their re-spawn points. Temple
had already used up a lot of her energy fighting the moths.
None of the party members knew what would happen to a
pet if it died. They have all become really dependent on Shadow.
He only had about thirty percent of his life left.
Not knowing what to do Wave launched himself at the
Lizard and was being pulled in by the magnetic force of his
Boots. Wave did not care anymore he would risk it all. Wave
covered his entire body in standard lightning, then remembering
what he had seen Sky do some many times before, attacked with
a combination of kicks and punches. This was still not enough, he
covered each of his fingers with a spark, after remembering how
Aurora had made her frost punch. The attack was not finished
With that either Wave filled his mouth with basic lightning, as he
Bit down into the lizards skin. As he punched he released his
Spark filled fingers and scratch just like he had seen Shadow
rip apart enemies with his claws. Thinking back to the earlier
Battle with the moths, Wave mixed spark, basic lightning, and
standard lightning down has hands and arms, and started to
use them like whips.
The lizard was stunned from the electricity and could not
get away from Wave’s retaliation. The attack continued
Until the lizard was dead.
