Within the shadows a small head is poking through. It looks at the sleeping Willow and the
rest of her travel companions. Seeing the danger they are in it binds their shadows to their
bodies. Creating a rope out of shadow, the rat, Willow’s new pet Raid, ties the rope to their
bound shadow, and drags them to safety.
Upon waking up the rest of the party sees that they are no longer in the same location as
they started. “What, huh, how did we get here?” Willow words are a slur of confusion, as
she tugs hard on Wave’s ear. “How should I know, Willow and dam, that hurts please could
You stop tugging on my ear!” Wave replies with pain in his voice. A small squeaking noise is
heard once Willow grip is loosened from Wave’s ear. “Oh you saved us, thank you Raid.”
Willow gives Raid a huge hug, as she thanks him for rescuing herself and the party.
Every other party member is surprised, and confused by the fact that Willow is hugging
a giant black rat with indigo irises, and a lightning bolt white strip across its back.
“Where did that rat come from? Not only that but why are you hugging it?” Temple asks
as she slowly backs away from it. “Everyone meet raid, my new pet!” Willow exclaims.
With those word Temple passes out.
The party waits for Temple to awaking. “I had a frightening dream that Willow had a giant
rat as a pet.” Wave waits for Temple to clam down before telling her. “That was not dream,
but do not worry for now Raid is inside Willow’s shadow.” Temple is shocked that this
is the reality of the situation. “So now that Temple is up, how should we go about fighting
the purple unicorn?” Sky calmly breaths in as he waits for someone to respond to his words.
Willow looks around before telling them her idea. “I have an idea but Temple is not going
to like it. Raid and I have created a unique pet skill, he is able to travel through my shadow
flames, and then attack an enemy. So I was thinking what if we used that to our advantage.
I know the unicorn can dispel magic, but Raid should be able to attack before it is dispelled.”
Wave and Sky seem to think it is a valid idea, while Aurora, and Violet are not sure, and
Temple hates the idea. Even though everyone’s thoughts vary they go with the plan.
“So you came back huh. I do not know how you escaped my attack, but you will not be so
lucky this time.” The purple unicorn seems to have a hint of annoyance in its voice well
speaking these words.
Willow sends a stream of shadow flames towards the purple unicorn. “You think that will
work on me, have you not been paying attention.” The unicorn dispels the shadow flames,
but before they disappear Raid jumps on to the unicorns back from within the shadow flames.
Raid bites down on the neck of the purple unicorn sending it to the ground. Wave uses bear
dash to attack as it lands. Not wasting anytime Sky and Shadow use art of the wolf to attack
its knees, while they do this Temple strikes it in the horn with her arrows. Using standard
ice, Aurora creates a dome over the unicorn and the party. Violet swings her sword towards
the purple unicorns main. The main catches on fire from the fireball created from Violets
Sword.
Since the horn of the purple unicorn has been damaged to the point where it could fall off,
It was no longer able to stop them from using magic. Willow grips the unicorn by its neck,
and slashes repeatedly, until the neck seemed like it could fall down at any time. The
purple unicorn is no longer able to speak any words.
The party finally killed the purple unicorn, but without Raid they would have lost a long
time ago.
Purple unicorn has been slayed
gained Pure mana crystal
Pure mana crystal description: The very essence of mana hardened into a crystal form.
Can be made into a powerful, mana regenerating accessory, or an accessory to
increase maximum mana and mp. If infused into a weapon any elemental trait
linked to it will be brought up to maximum capacity. If infused with armor,

mp and mana gathering become quicker. The armors elemental defense is
also brought up to the maximum for that set of armor. Pure mana crystal
seems like there are other hidden traits associated with it.
Back at the blacksmiths. Wave and Violet linked the broach and dagger together.
The two of them now had to crush the pure mana crystal over the dagger. They
could not do this if it was just one of them, the pure mana crystal had to be crushed
with their bare hands. As the pure mana crystal started to become dust, Violet and
Wave sprinkled it over every party of the dagger. When the last of the pure mana
dust had fallen, their was a sudden flash of silver light, then the dagger become
the color of lightning, change back and forth from purple, pink, green, and blue.
Daggers of swift lightning incomplete
Wave examines the dagger, but does not gain the dagger skill or any other skill for that
matter. Wave looks over the description.
Daggers of swift lightning incomplete description: One half of a godly weapon. Without
the other half this can not be used. There is a seal that prevents this from being anything
more then a decoration at the moment.
Wave has a blank look on his face in front of Violet. “What is it Wave?” In a defeated tone
Wave answers her. “This thing at the moment can not even be used as a standard weapon!”
Violet is in shock. “What do you mean it can not be used as a standard weapon.” “It says
at the moment it is nothing more then a simple decoration.” Neither of them say another
word and just walk out of the blacksmith’s.
Upon meeting Willow outside, the three of them head to the inn where everyone else is
currently staying. “So where is the next piece?” Sky glancing at Wave, while he waits
for the information to be spoken. Wave reads through the information. “What really!?”
Wave takes out the city passport, and slides the ring of magnetic force on his finger, while
placing the magnetic boots onto Shadow’s feet. “Fun, so it is inside the city beneath the sand?”
Willow questions. “No, no, its is the fastest way to get there.” Everyone waits for Wave to tell
them more. “Well you see, there is a hidden entrance, which is located in one of the portal
rooms.” “Which one is it Wave?” Aurora takes the time to let Wave brief the party.
“The thing is, it does not tell us.” “How cryptic.” Sky’s voicing his opinion on the subject.
Once they teleport to the city, they make their way to the exit. The sand s still on the ground
from the time they landed there before. Four of the party members start to levitate, while
each holding another member, aside from Willow. Taking off the rings of magnetic force,
and removing Shadow’s boots, the party lands softly onto the sand below.
Arriving at the portal caverns, the party enters inside. “So which portal room should we
check first? Aurora’s word sound kind of impatient. The party had already decided that
splitting up would not be a valid choice. “Green first I guess.” Wave did not sound to
sure of the answer he had given them.
Entering the first room they turned over every rook, slide their hands on every inch of the
dirt floor, and walked around the walls, going up down, and side to side. “No luck here.”
Willow calmly stated. The next room they did the same, which had the same results.
They continued this until they arrived at the exit where they had fight the giant rat.
It may have been pure luck for them that the giant rat did not reappear, or maybe it
was a one time only boss.
Walking through the exit they went around back to the front entrance. “Lets try the
red one next then, but we will likely have monsters to fight in each room.” There
was in undertone of dread in Sky’s words.
Entering the portal they fought off the monsters in the first room. They check all the
same places they had before, but now they also had bones to check under. They lifted
the bones to check under them, and then checked inside them for any switches.
The sensation felt really strange, picking up old bones searching for switches.
Their was nothing to find in this room, nor did they find anything in the next room,
and none of the rooms after that.
At the entrance Willow is the next to suggest which portal to try. “Lets go with the
yellow portal next.” There is a wide grin on Willow’s face. As a chill goes through
Sky and Aurora’s bodies, they whisper to one another. “You do not think?” “Come one
what are the odds?” Sky thinks about what he just said ,and cannot shake the feeling
that those words had jinxed them into a repeated scenario, the same of last time.
Just like that their prediction had become a reality. Although this time Willow
was searching the traps she had triggered before for any hidden switches. This
seemed like one of the worst things to do. It would be a really stupid idea to link
a hidden passageway to a trap. The party could barley manage all the traps being
triggered, but they knew they had no choice but to check every possible out come.
After searching through the yellow portal rooms, the party decided it would be best
to rest for the night. This was both to regain their lost health and recover from mental
Fatigue. Violet thought about setting another fire but was to tired to even attempt such
a feat.
Next the party went into the blue portal. The search each treasure chest, both on the
Sides, underneath, and inside for any switches. They did not find anything in any of
them either. They continued the same routine, until getting back to the rat room.
Just to be sure they now checked everywhere in this room as well, of course nothing
turned up.
Everyone was back at the main entrance, their only choice now was the purple room.
The room was pretty much the same as the blue room, and they repeated the same actions
they did while in there. This had all the same results, that is until they got to the second
to last room. Wave was leaning against one of the treasure chest, he had been checking,
when his weight shifted and pushed it backwards. This reviled a hidden staircase, which
was highly likely what they had been looking for.
Walking down the stairs, the party heard music playing, it was the type of music you would
hear while watching an amazing performance at a circus or something. When their feet
had hit the bottom step, they were greeted by the sound of a mans voice. “Welcome to the
lava ruins, will any of you be taking part in the tournament. If so you can either enter
the individual rounds, or the team rounds. The team rounds give you a chance to fight
our monster champion, The lava penguin, which if you beat, you will win the prize, which
is the orb of raining bolts. Though if you are fighting as a team their is something I should
tell you, Unlike a normal team fight, you will each be split up to fight your own enemy,
And can only fight the lava penguin together if you beat all your opponents. That means
if even a single one of you loses, your team will have to forfeit any chance to battle the
Champion. Oh and one more thing, You can register a pet, but only one pet can be registered
per member.” The party looks it over an nods to one another. Wave boldly declares. “ The six
of us would like to enter the team tournament, also we have two pets to register.”
