Chapter 208 - Revenge and Belief

Chapter 208 - Revenge and Belief

The high-ranking members of the Third Circle and the Frost Elves were forcibly escorted to Heidrick’s office,

Outside the room, the Blue Hope Guardians stood at attention,

It was a rare occurrence to see Heidrick summon adversaries to his office; rarer still was the fact that both factions complied without protest.

Inside, Heidrick observed them in silence, his presence dominating the room.

His hands clasped behind his back,

His sharp eyes flicked over the individuals before him.

It didn’t take long for him to glean the truth.

Heidrick’s innate magical abilities allowed him to uncover the identities of his unwilling guests with ease.

His gaze settled first on the leader of the Frost Elves.

“So, you are the real leader of the Frost Elves in my ship.”

The figure in question stood tall.

Her icy blue hair shimmered like frost in sunlight, and her eyes gleamed with an unnatural, glacial glow.

The Frost Elf leader bowed her head slightly,

“I am Alynas Freex, the Frostborn Lady,” she said,

Heidrick’s eyes narrowed briefly before shifting to the other leader.

The woman met his gaze head-on, her confidence radiating despite the circumstances.

“And you,” Heidrick said, his tone softening just a fraction.

“You are Alexandra, the true leader of the Third Circle Mages aboard the Blue Hope.”

Alexandra inclined her head,

“You both fought on my ship, If you were ordinary people, this transgression would be punishable by execution.”

His words hung heavily in the air, and neither Alynas nor Alexandra dared to respond immediately. They glanced at each other briefly.

Finally, Alynas broke the silence.

“It was the Third Circle who attacked us without provocation,” she said,

Heidrick halted mid-step and turned his gaze to her.

His lips curved into a faint, knowing smile, one that sent a shiver down the spines of everyone present.

“Do not insult my intelligence, Alynas Freex,” he said, his voice quiet yet lethal.

“You both share the blame for this chaos. The specifics of who acted first are irrelevant to me.”

Heidrick resumed his pacing

“You have both disrupted the order of this ship,”

“You’ve endangered the lives of innocents, disrespected my authority, and created a situation that demands immediate resolution.”

He paused, his gaze sweeping over the room once more.

A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.

“And so, I have made my decision.”

Both leaders stiffened, their attention fixed solely on Heidrick.

“You and your organizations will be placed upon the nameless island nearby. Once there, you are free to resolve your differences however you see fit. Fight, negotiate, or annihilate each other—it is no longer my concern.”

They exchanged another glance.

They both heard the decision of Heidrick before he told them what is going to happen right now.

But, they did not expected it would be this fast and there is no way to stop Heidrick.

They imagined they may try to talk their way out of it.

But there is nothing can be done.

“You are no longer welcome aboard the Blue Hope, Your actions have forfeited your place here. Prepare yourselves and your people for departure. You will disembark as soon as we reach the island.”

Heidrick’s piercing gaze lingered on both leaders, daring them to challenge himself.

Neither of them spoke.

They knew the futility of arguing with a man like Heidrick.

Finally, Heidrick turned to the door, gesturing for the Blue Hope Guardians stationed outside.

“Escort them back to their quarters,” he commanded.

“Ensure they remain there until the transfer is complete.”

The guardians saluted crisply and stepped forward.

Alynas and Alexandra followed without protest, their respective entourages trailing behind them.

There were more than fifteen Blue Hope Guardians behind them escorting them to the their rooms for the time being.

Even if they wanted to fight, not to mention Heidrick, the fifteen guards who are mages each at the level of third and third-level middle to peak, would gravely injure them with ease.

As the doors closed behind them, Heidrick stood alone in his office,

Though he maintained his composure, a flicker of frustration crossed his features.

He shook his head and returned to his desk, already planning the next steps.

-

The Third Circle and Frost Elves had been escorted back to their rooms the Blue Hope Guardians,

As the doors closed behind Alynas Freex, the Frostborn Lady let out an audible hiss of frustration.

Her icy aura intensified, causing the temperature in the room to drop noticeably.

Her hands clenched into fists as she paced back and forth,

“Unbelievable, This was not how it was supposed to go.”

Turning sharply, she addressed the group of Frost Elves gathered before her.

“Prepare yourselves, From the moment we set foot on that island, this will be a battle for survival—a battle for supremacy.

“We will not share that cursed piece of land with those wretched Third Circle mages.”

One of her subordinates hesitated before speaking, his voice trembling slightly.

“But Lady Freex, Heidrick’s presence—”

Alynas silenced him with a glare that could have frozen fire.

“Heidrick is not the enemy, He is merely the obstacle. The real threat lies in Alexandra and her lot. They struck first, and now we’re forced to endure the same punishment as them.”

“From the moment we land, we claim the strongest position on the island. We fortify, we expand, and we prepare to annihilate the Third Circle. This is not a negotiation. This is war.”

-

In her own quarters, Alexandra stood by the window, gazing out at the endless expanse of ocean.

Unlike Alynas, Alexandra’s emotions were more measured.

A faint smile played on her lips,

“Justice, It’s ironic how Heidrick chose to handle this. We attacked first, and yet he punishes us equally. A level playing field, even though the fault lies with us.”

She turned away from the window

“But in the end, this outcome favors us,The Frost Elves are proud, reckless. They will act with emotion rather than strategy. If we play our cards right, we’ll not only survive but thrive on that island.”

Alexandra gathered her core members,

“The situation has changed, Heidrick has thrown us into a dangerous game, one that we cannot afford to lose. From the moment we step onto that island, we are no longer just the Third Circle. We are survivors, conquerors. This island will belong to us, and us alone.”

One of her lieutenants frowned. “Lady Alexandra, what if the Frost Elves strike first?”

“They will, It’s in their nature. But that’s what we’ll count on. Let them waste their strength. Let them fight with reckless abandon.”

“This isn’t just about survival. This is about dominance. When the dust settles, the Third Circle will stand as the only faction on that island. They will pay for what they have done to our base, the people they have murdered... The people, our people that they have blood on their hands.”

Her words ignited a fire in the hearts of her subordinates.

The will to take revenge for their people, for their members and mages that have killed that day.

Now, they will have their chance.
