Silver Empire - Northern Silver Ice City
> -
On the peak of a snowy mountain, the air crackled with tension.
The sky above swirled with dark clouds, mirroring the storm brewing between two mages.
Thun, the lightning mage, stood in azure robes, sparks dancing around his fingers.
Across from him, Fieris, the fire mage, in crimson attire, clenched her fists, each exuding a faint, reddish glow.
"Silver Continent will belong to the humans, not the demons nor the angels." The man roared.
He thrust his staff forward. A bolt of lightning shot from the tip, splitting the air with a deafening crack.
Fieris countered swiftly, conjuring a barrier of roaring flames. The lightning struck, sending sparks flying.
"But you'll need more than that to defeat me, you filthy demon slave!"
Fieris retaliated with a blazing fireball, tearing through the air.
Thun sidestepped and launched a rapid series of lightning bolts. Fieris darted and weaved, her movements swift.
Their duel raged on, bursts of light and heat clashing violently. Snow melted and reformed, the ground trembling under their power.
In a brief moment of calm, they paused, breathing heavily. Thun drew electricity from the air, while Fieris summoned a towering inferno.
They released their spells simultaneously. A massive bolt of lightning collided with a torrent of fire, creating an explosion that shook the mountain.
When the smoke cleared, Thun and Fieris stood facing each other in a steaming crater, neither willing to concede. The battle was far from over.

"What a dream..."
"Another day spent in this new universe and world."
Sylas whispered to himself, a strange sadness in his eyes.
Sitting in his chair, he glanced at the thin paper on his desk.
He slept on his desk, not knowing how the time passed as he was working.
His heart and mind felt like they were being pressed by a giant, tightening and expanding every time he wanted to take a breath.
"It seems that the resources I have will only last me for another two months."
Sylas was the last remaining member of the Sylind family.
A survivor of some sort, due to political plays with other families, they lost everyone and every resource that they were holding in their hands.
Along with him was Gran Sylind, his father's loyal warrior and the only other remnant of the Sylind family.
Although Sylas had not told anyone what who he was in reality, he always thought about it, as the secret itself was bigger than himself and maybe even his existence.
"It has been three months since I came from Earth to this planet, Estial."
Sylas was not from the planet or the universe of Estial; he was a young philosophy university student lived back in the modern world.
Even in his wildest dreams as a student of mystical events and believer in paranormal activities, he did not believe that he would be transmigrated to a new realm, a new universe...
If you spot this tale on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
He could hardly be called a student because, halfway through his first year, one night while sleeping in his bed, he never woke up again.
At least he didn’t wake up on Earth as expected; instead, he found himself unexpectedly on the planet Estial, on the Silver Continent.
The Silver Continent was controlled by the Silver Empire, the name of the empire given to it by the first Emperor, a man named Herdbren Silver, more than two thousand years ago.
It is said that the man had an intimate relationship with the "silver" element.
Sylas, when he first read about the parapragma of the "intimate relationship with silver," could not help but smirk.
He believed that it must be about material gain of some sort.
According to what he learned about the Silver Empire, it is a continent; the size of the continent and area the empire controlled were bigger than earth by three times.
Due to the high literacy and education level of the body he found himself in, being a noble, he quickly understood the situation he was in.
"At least, I'm not entirely alone in this new region and world."
"Traveler."
After Sylas whispered, an image appeared in his mind. Similar to "VR Glasses" back on earth, just within his mind and without need of a technological product.
He was sure only he could see this image.
He was confident because he had tested it next to Gran.
Sylas Sylind
Level One (Ordinary Human)
Physical Power: 2.0
Mind Power: 5.0
Spiritual Power: 2.0
Passive Abilities:
-Godly Calmness
Conceptual Understanding and Reality Deciphering
Since Sylas was a young individual with a background in gaming, he didn't take long to realize that this kind of window resembled the "status" windows in games.
For this reason, despite being in an entirely new universe, he could trust himself.
"The single most important feature of the active ability I have is that when I study, research, or read about any concept or subject, my ability to understand, learn, and actively implement and practice the subject develops very quickly."
"I gained the passive ability of conceptual understanding and reality deciphering just yesterday. I don't understand why I didn't have it for the past three months.".
----------------------------------------
After examining the paper on his desk more, Sylas murmured as his face showed more calmness to the outside.
"I have a total of 50 Silver Empire coins. The other three baron families in Northen Frost Silver City, where I live, exploited the shops and other resources they owned after the Sylind family weakened."
"Although the guards and supporters of the Sylind family tried to help, they couldn't stand against the three baron families."
"Currently, as the sole member of the Sylind family, all means of livelihood have been taken from me. I only have the Sylind family mansion I live in and my supporter Gran."
Sylas made a mental plan for his situation.
"There are many things that need to be done," Sylas thought, standing up.
At that moment, a knock sounded on his door.
"Lord Sylas, may I come in?" asked the man with a deep, strong, resonating voice.
Sylas smirked.
"Of course, Gran."
Gran Sylind opened the door and entered. After greeting Sylas with a nod, he coughed to clear his throat and started speaking in a calm but strong voice.
His voice carried hints of urgency and anxiety to some degree but kept them in the shadows of his mind.
"My lord, I assume you've reviewed our financial situation. We must do something as soon as possible."
Sylas nodded.
"I understand. Do you have any ideas that may help us in these dire times?"
Gran's face twisted slightly.
As a warrior, he trusted himself in the times of battle.
But such questions confused him.
He was never a man of trade or had any potential in the matter of politics...
"My lord, if you don't take it as disrespectful, the only idea that comes to mind is to sell the Sylind mansion. It is too costly to keep this place up, even though there are only two of us living here."
Sylas paused for a moment.
Although he wasn't a member of the Sylind family, he knew that such a proposal would not be well received by the real Sylas.
The noble families and their descendants valued their ancestral manor and place with great importance.
It can even be said that most of them placed the value of their ancestral manor more than their lives and protected it with their lives.
Gran swallowed and continued speaking.
"Due to its location, the value of the Sylind mansion would be 150 Silver Empire coins. If we used this silver money, we wouldn't have financial troubles for years."
Sylas smiled again, this time heartily instead of with a smirk.
"Even though no one lives in the mansion besides me and Gran, the mansion itself costs 10 Silver Empire coins monthly."
Sylas started massaging his temples with his fingers, placing his elbows on the desk.
"I'll consider your proposal, Gran," he said, letting out a cold breath.
He then remembered a mission that he gave to Gran and asked with an expectation in his eyes.
"Were you able to find the books I mentioned?"
Gran smiled and nodded quickly, taking out five books from the gray sack he had been holding for a while.
"My lord, I used the 20 silver coins you gave me to find and purchase these books."
Sylas placed all five books on his desk and smiled.
"Good."
Gran knew what this look meant, so he nodded slightly and left the room.
Left alone with the books, Sylas opened the first book with a spark of excitement.
"There was something different in this universe. Although I don't fully understand it, paranormal abilities, magic, and similar things are possible in this world."
"I can read about this in historical books."
Naturally, Sylas was curious about magic and paranormal topics.
One of the reasons he studied philosophy and wanted to read in the world was to better understand these kinds of concepts and to combine his thoughts and spiritual knowledge to understand magic.
In the old world, he never had such an opportunity.
But now he might have that chance, and he wouldn't miss it.
