"Sir, what do you think they will do?"
Gran asked.
Sylas showed a smiling face to Gran and added.
"Oh, they will want to kill me."
"They must be planning about it."
Gran took a deep breath and gulped.
"Then, we should get ready."
Sylas smiled.
"Of course."
"But, we are already in a good position."
Gran scratched his head. Having a hard time understanding what is happening.
Sylas noticing, Gran confusion kept on talking.
"Make us coffee while I fill you up."
While Gran started making coffee for both of them, Sylas kept on talking.
"Our Spiders give us a great deal of power; your power makes you equal to a level 1 to level 2 fighter, which means that you can take on three or four of the level 1 mages as long as you know how to get close."
Sylas stopped and looked Gran deep in the eye.
"I trust your experience to get close to your enemy."
Gran nodded.
"No worries, my lord."
Sylas nodded.
"That is good to hear."
Sylas then continued.
"My level is four; I am an adept level mage; even if five level three mages come, as long as I move with great focus."
"The problems are not going to be problems, and they will fall."
Gran felt that his belly was full of air; he started getting excited hearing the words of Sylas.
Hearing that his lord is really powerful at this point in time made him feel greatly confident.
"Also, it will take us four to five hours of time to go back to the city and buy the materials I need, another three hours to build the Mechanical Warriors."
This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road. If you spot it on Amazon, please report it.
"The mechanical warriors have physical strength and capability to fight against you in two versus one."
"They are double the power of spiders and triple the fighting capability of the spiders."
"I believe I can make ten of them without any problem."
"This will put us at a great advantage, Ten Mechanical Warriors, Ten Spiders, you and me."
"Even if they come with more support on their back, they will not expect this kind of line-up."
"They also did not notice that the spiders were alive."
Gran laughed.
"That I am a little bit shocked, sir," he said.
Gran then handed up the cup of coffee to Sylas and sat down in front of him, opening up his ears to any word from Sylas.
Sylas laughed hearing that Gran did not expect it.
"They still believe me to be an amateur mage; that masked man must have noticed that I should have a power level of three-level mage and stronger than them."
"But, this still did not mean that he would be able to notice the spiders are biological creatures that I have created."
"They must have thought that they were just monster corpses piled up in the corner."
"Also, the fact that I am able to create biological servants, the creatures with my magic ability, puts me in the rare category of "Creative Mage" and "Alchemist.""
Gran nodded.
"I remember that woman saying that creative mage are really rare."
Sylas nodded.
"Creative Mages are thousand to one, and alchemists are five hundred to one."
"An individual being a creative mage and alchemist at the same time."
"Yeah, they did not even think that something like that could happen."
The conversation has finished.
Sylas drank his coffee and then closed his eyes to pinpoint the location of the Les and Masked Man and then added.
"I am leaving for the materials; I will be back in four to six hours of time."
Gran nodded.
"I will be keeping this place safe until you return."
Sylas laughed.
"Yeah, I am sure you will do that."
----------------------------------------
Sylas did not waste anytime and quickly left the cave; he did not forget to take one spider servant with himself; the servant tailed him in a distance, not gathering any attention.
After Sylas walked for about ten minutes, putting a distance between himself and the cave, he called out to Spider Servant and hopped on its back.
"Go," he ordered, and the Spider Servant started running. Due to its spider shape, it can run in the harsh and cold forest terrain with no problem at all.
The speed is 1.5 times the speed of a horse at full speed, which is pretty good.
"At this speed, I can reach the city in one and a half hours and come back in three hours. in total."
"Good."
Sylas, happy about his current state, kept on going without looking back.
----------------------------------------
Gran, inside the cave, practiced with his sword, trying to get used to speed and his new physical power even more.
His experiences as a warrior told him that there was a big battle that was about to happen.
He did not want to get caught in a battle without getting used to his new power; due to an imminent threat, he wanted to train and be ready for anything if possible.
He knew that the words of Sylas at this point carried heavy meanings; Lord Sylas, in his eyes, no longer a young kid that he needs to protect, is an esteemed mage with a wise mind and soul that he should listen to at all costs.
His sense of loyalty burned even more as he thought Sylas and he worked even more and harder.
