Chapter 157: Strong Soul Primal Human

Diana

Diana had already maxed out her stats before participating in the Trial Tower, and that had allowed a few of her racial abilities to advance, Silver Soul to Golden Soul, Miracle Summoner to Master Summoner, and Nascent Energy Converter to Nascent/Primal Energy Converter. So, her original racial abilities provided quite a bit more power than before.

Omniglot Reader (Legendary): You can understand all non-magical and low-magical languages in both written and spoken form.

Golden Soul (Heroic): Increase the effectiveness of the Soul stat by 50%.

Nascent/Primal Energy Converter (Heroic): Any extra stats which would be lost due to the stat’s limit having been reached instead become free stats. You may also convert primal energy into free stats with a very poor conversion rate.

Master Summoner (Heroic): Markedly increase the power of summoning category skills

Lady’s Aura (Heroic): Increase the effectiveness of the Aura stat by 50%.

With the absorbed Stone of Primal Beginning and the use of another resource she’d gained from Nana Xara as a reward for advancing to F rank, she’d also advanced her race into an extremely strong one about a month before the War of the Chosen started.

Reach level 108 and then absorb twice the amount of primal energy required to get you there. Comes with an automatic grade increase.

Requirements:

Has the Primordial Titan (Empyrean) bloodline, current race is Chaos Human (F-Heroic), has maximized stats as a Chaos Human (F-Heroic), has absorbed a Stone of Primal Beginning, has absorbed the power of a Soul Cleansing Gem of Yin and Yang

As a strong soul race, she could gain a second class with the full effects from both, albeit with only half the stat gain from either class, but the base race itself was the best possible human race at Fabled grade, with ridiculously high affinities, and it would automatically grant her the option of a higher grade race when she advanced its rank, so she didn’t need any further resources for her race at E rank.

Automatic grade increases were almost unheard of for non-monster races and it was only thanks to her bloodline she was able to awaken to the possibility.

Primordial Titan (Empyrean)

Humanity was created in their image

This text was taken from Royal Road. Help the author by reading the original version there.

Effects:

Increase the effectiveness of all stats by 25%

The flow of all resources is much faster with much better burst potential

Cultivation is sped up by 6 times

All stats +12 per level, Scalable (+72 at E rank)

Less resources and achievements are required for advancing the grade of a human line race when advancing rank

At E rank, her bloodline provided 72 extra stat points in each stat per level while keeping its other awesome effects, and it, along with her new race and high Luck, allowed her to awaken an absolutely broken racial ability.

Spirit Prodigy (Fabled): Spirits born from your soul and brought to life by your magic are more closely connected to your being, sharing your emotions and acting as secondary external Mental Forges.

With this ability, her spirits were basically an extension of herself. She gave them names and oftentimes operated as if they were separate entities, but each of her spirits now had a Mental Forge of their own one size smaller than the Mana Wells they inhabited, and each of those Mental Forges was truly hers.

Each of the Mental Forges did, however, share the senses of one of her spirits, not her own, so it wasn’t quite the same as the extra Mental Forges granted by the Elevated Multi-Mind skill.

Still, for her, Spirit Prodigy was better than Isaiah’s Power of Balance or Aalam’s Minor Soul Lord Battle Armor, and the best thing was it also allowed her spirits to operate at a much greater distance.

Given the Law suppression on the battlefield in this first round of the War of the Chosen, for example, only at the level of an F rank planet, she could actually send her spirits anywhere on the battlefield while she herself hid at the very edges. She’d just been a bit too stupid and overconfident to do so.

Early grade Law Larvae of the fire, water, light, darkness, life, and death elements, the Balance of Dualism (F-Legendary) skill, the Yang Spirit (F-Legendary) skill, the Yin Spirit (F-Legendary) skill, at least two Large or bigger Mana Wells

Some of her confidence came from her main class advancing to Heroic grade, a grade Nana Xara told her was very rare, even among E rank elites. And, with all her skills becoming all around stronger versions of themselves after advancing as well, she felt like a completely new person.

The Heroic grade version of Balance of Dualism made controlling the yin and yang aligned energies generated by her spirits even easier, especially improving her control over the state she could enter by merging with her spirits using the Heroic grade version of Spirit Avatar. Once she completely mastered both skills, she could probably even enter the avatar state using all eight of her spirits at the same time.

Spirit of Primal Yang and Spirit of Primal Yin were just straight up improvements over her Yang Spirit and Yin Spirit skills, her yin and yang spirits, now under the full control of her own will due to her racial ability, having much improved energy channels and more powerful skills than before. And the Heroic grade version of Spirit Enhancement made them even stronger.

Finally, the Heroic grade version of Underlord improved everything about her connection to Aalam, such as allowing him to send her some of his resources from anywhere on the same planet like he was doing right at this moment to help her recover.

It was her second class, however, that made fighting in person a lot stronger than just sending out her spirits remotely.

Requirements:

Early grade Law Larvae of the fire, water, light, darkness, life, and death elements, has personally formed and then successfully used more than 12 different temporary skill runes

The class seemed designed to effectively allow Diana to act as a magic warrior, but she was using it a little differently than most would. For one, she’d suppressed the energy trying to grant her a Heroic grade version of the Runescriber skill when awakening the class, as she trusted her brother to help draw the skill runes the class would allow her to add to the surface of her soul much more than she’d trust herself.

But the bigger difference was the skills she chose. If she’d just had the Advanced Yin Yang Rune Warrior class by itself, she definitely would have gone for a full set of boosting skills to improve the temporary skills drawn on the surface of her soul, but she’d wanted the class for its final effect and its ability to merge with her Advanced Yin Yang Summoner class during her next rank advancement, not really caring about the other effects.

Due to the nature of dual classes, overlapping effects from a second class would be reduced in effectiveness, so her Advanced Yin Yang Rune Warrior class, while providing the full 50% extra effective Vitality and allowing for semipermanent skill runes to be carved on the surface of her soul, only provided 25% extra effectiveness for both her Magic and Soul Stats, and only improved her affinities by 50%.

For what she wanted, however, it was perfect, and it still gave her six extra skill slots, which she’d used for summoner skills.

As a reward for both her and Mila advancing to E rank, Nana Xara had been able to give each of them a present, and, after talking with both of them, she’d given each of them three Heroic grade E rank summoning skills and Mila had given her three to Diana.

Nana Xara had apparently gotten the skills from the secret vault of an A rank sect she’d destroyed which hadn’t had any powerful summoners and she didn’t know their original origin, but they were perfect for Diana, especially with her new Spirit Prodigy racial ability, and had increased her power by quite a bit.

Their only real weakness was their low mastery, not allowing her spirits to fully express their power, but fixing that was just a matter of time. Diana wasn’t like Aalam and Mila, however, whose skill masteries grew three times as fast, so mastering her skills would probably take her at least a couple decades if not more.

Thinking about the battle she’d just had, Diana’s main conclusion was she should have used her spirits for scouting and herself stayed with the Bronze Legion. For any of her spirits, she could sacrifice half of the mana within their corresponding Mana Well to have their externalized form disperse and their essence return to her, and that cost was a lot less than her life, as had almost been the case.

Thankfully, though, it was unlikely she’d run into another commander before Aalam’s plague had time to work.

It appeared she’d thought too soon, though, as, at that moment, her yin spirit spotted a group of seven undead running in her direction, only a few tens of kilometers out, and four of them were Crypt Lords as powerful as the swordsman her spirits had fought. The other three, however, were much more terrifying.

Skeletons of normal size, their bones were black and violet instead of white, and each of the three emanated more power than not just the Crypt Lords, but of Aalam as well.

“Oh crap,” Diana sent to Mila along with her yin spirit’s impression of the skeletons as she merged with her yang spirit, sacrificed her yin spirit at the cost of half the mana from one of her Colossal sized Mana Wells, and desummoned all her other spirits before starting to fly away from the skeletons and towards Aalam. “Those are the actual commanders, aren’t they?”

“Most likely,” Mila sent, sounding somewhat worried. “Those look like Blackviolet Dread Liches and they are extremely powerful. They do have some weaknesses they usually use artifacts to make up for, however, so you are lucky to meet them in the first round.”

“Keep running towards Aalam and Isaiah. They’re already setting up a formation, so you’ll at least have a chance.”
