Synopsis

Earth was ending. He tried to save it with science. She betrayed him. Together they almost started World War III. Now their home is facing an invasion of monsters and extraterrestrial forces, but it's no longer their problem. They're dead and soon to be reborn as monsters. Instead of saving their world, their job will be to destroy another one. But there is something wrong with his mind, and she'll have to work hard to keep him from getting himself killed. Oh, and the universe seems to function like a litrpg. 1 chapter a week every Monday (each minimum 1.5k) What to expect: - An edited story cleaned up around chapter 235 and then reposted - 2 protagonists, leaning more toward one at the start and with more added later, but only ever one plot thread - A power set where the main characters are intricately linked with each other, one effectively a warlock while the other her patron even though they are at roughly the same level of power, causing them to rise and fall as a group - A fast paced story without much extraneous fluff - Intrigue and manipulation (Describing one of the main characters, one of my readers wrote: I think this might be the first time I see a "reincarnated" spy in a webnovel that actually feels like she does intrigue and manipulation, instead of just solving all her problems through brute force) - Dragon Ball Z level power scaling, with the main characters able to blow up planets by chapter 250 - A very, very slow burn romance - Common webnovel tropes normally done poorly twisted for the author's amusement to make more sense and work in the story - Main characters without the best morals Content Warning: One lead in the story is suicidal at the start and undergoing a pretty bad breakdown, while the other is possibly even more messed up, only better at hiding it. Their need for therapy is a plot point, and, given the nature and length of the story, they mess up a lot before they get better.
