Aalam
Watching Epecteos yet again dismantle the combined assault of Isaiah, Diana, and Dioscuri at the same time, Aalam pondered if he should have gone with a combat class. Sure, the Laws he liked were much more suited for crafting than combat, and, sure, when he’d tried to copy Isaiah’s practice schedule using similar techniques with his bastard sword—stabbing and slashing at the air repeatedly for hours on end—he’d briefly considered slitting his own throat. And, yes, when he’d followed Isaiah into the ocean depths to hunt monsters, he’d instead gotten distracted playing with all his various sensory skills and hadn’t hunted a single beast until the end, when he’d created a giant magical faraday cage and just electrocuted every single monster within a couple hundred meters. But it would be nice to gain more power from holding a weapon like Epecteos and Isaiah, or enter into what effectively looked like a black and white avatar state like Diana.
He could have had cool skills like Epecteos, who, other than his Lord, Telekinesis, and Swordsman’s Senses skills, had three skills all designed to work with any of his twelve Laws.
The Heroic grade movement skill Elemental Steps, for example, could be infused with any of Epecteos’s twelve Laws to reproduce over a dozen different types of Legendary grade movement skills. Infusing in his Shadow Law, Epecteos could reproduce a D rank version of Mila’s Legendary grade Shadow Stride skill, and, using his Gust and Bolt Laws at the same time, he could reproduce a D rank version of Isaiah’s Storm Steps skill.
The skill Elemental Blade Infusion then had a similar effect, allowing Epecteos to reproduce over a dozen different kinds of offensive sword skills, and Epecteos’s last skill, Elemental Raiment, allowed him to reproduce over a dozen different defensive and boosting skills.
With the flexibility provided by his skills and his ability to seemingly predict everything they would do, Epecteos had completely toyed with the four of them during the five times they all fought him at once over the Atlantic Ocean, and Aalam had started to find the process boring. So, when he finally fully mastered the Danger Sense skill, leaving only Heightened Senses left of the 13 skills required for the fusion of the theoretical Sensory Domain, he’d returned to the massive cargo ship which had been left floating in the middle of the ocean after its crew was taken away to the tutorial and just watched Isaiah and Diana continue to fight.
Mila had then landed on the boat next to him so they could use the limited time they had together to help each other improve their Law Larvae of Bonds, Severing, The Healer, and The Reaper through creating and severing bonds like crazy, and it was a far more useful use of his time. Mila had grown skilled enough with Devil’s Contract and her Law Larva of The Healer to deliberately create bonds weak enough for Aalam’s Law Larva of Severing or her Law Larva of The Reaper to safely cut, and it was amazing how fast they advanced, Aalam’s two Law Larvae reaching middle grade in under an hour.
During that same time, another of his minds was using his Heightened Senses skill to watch the training bout, and something inside his mind finally clicked, his Law Larva of Storm also advancing to middle grade as he watched Epecteos use his Law Pupa of Gust when moving past Diana to subtly shift the aim of the beam of death energy she was using, making the attack hit Isaiah instead.
This then left Aalam with 27 middle grade and 9 high grade Law Larvae, meaning he still had a lot of work to do, as those Law Larvae he’d already advanced were the ones he was best at.
“Do you want to head back now?” Mila asked, standing up from her sitting position on the ship’s deck.
“Yeah.” Aalam stood up as well and they both took out teleportation keys. One of Mila’s purchases with her trial points had been several more teleportation platforms and an extra key for each member of their group.
Then they both activated their keys and arrived not on one of the thirteen purchased platforms, but in the separate teleportation platform which had been generated when Diana had used the Legendary grade personal residence coupon Mila had given her to build a home in the 3 square kilometer enlightenment zone on the western coast of the Greek island of Zakynthos.
The teleportation platform was in a white marble gazebo on the edge of the property, near where the powerful arrays Mila had bought from the Trial Tower would incinerate anyone who tried to forcibly enter the enlightenment zone. Then there was the main residence and crafting buildings closer to the water.
The main residence looked a lot like the White House in Washington, DC, and had 216 rooms in total, 18 of which were bathrooms. Most of the other rooms could later be turned into bedrooms, but currently there were only four, and only he and Isaiah lived there permanently. The building was only 50 meters away from a beautiful beach, and it was apparently a nice place to relax according to his sister.
Aalam, though he realized the building was designed to accommodate the elites of Earth in the future, found the mansion too big and he only ever entered when he needed to sleep, which by this point was only about 12 hours every week.
Instead, he much preferred the other building which held his crafting hall, a large geodesic marble and glass dome the same size as the mansion situated up on a nearby cliff. Inside were all the tools he’d need for smithing, alchemy, and enchanting until he hit D rank, provided directly by the System, and it was nice and open.
Out one door toward the ocean there was also a small patio for meditation and, when sitting there at sundown, the sun would set directly behind a relatively large tree and it was one of the most beautiful sights Aalam had ever seen, already having helped him advance his Law Larvae of Tranquility and Pause up to high grade even when he hadn’t been focusing on either.
The narrative has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the infringement.
The entire complex, including the sunset tree and several other instances of foliage, had all just suddenly appeared when Diana used the token on the area, adding in some parameters to choose what would be built and in what general styles, and the entire area was covered in a System provided dao finding enhancement formation, instead of just his crafting room, slightly enhancing the effects of the enlightenment zone and apparently cheaper as a result of being inside it.
Aalam had been there when everything appeared, but the Laws involved were too high grade and he hadn’t managed to understand anything about where the materials and foliage had come from, nor whether the buildings had been pre-constructed before arriving or made instantly on Earth.
It had just shown him how far he still had to go.
Moving to the patio outside his crafting hall, both Aalam and Mila sat down across from each other and Mila continued creating contracts for them to sever, the activity quite a fun game for both of them, something they could quietly focus on for hours.
When the sun began to set and fell behind the tree again, however, Aalam spoke. “You know, you don’t have to go through so much for my sake.”
“Of course I know.” Mila smiled at him and then looked out at the sunset. “But it’s for me as well. And it’s also kind of fun.
“According to Nana Xara, it will also help set us up for the future. Powerful B rank forces like the Violet Mountain Sect get invited to events we would otherwise not have access to, and thus the potential for resources we will need in the future. So I would have had to join such a force anyway, and at F rank with a powerful D rank backing my identity is a much better way to enter than most of the alternatives.”
“Still, I’m sorry.”
Mila scooted a bit closer to him as they both watched the sunset and reached out to hold his right hand with her left. “Then master your last skill quickly and get me a Sensory Domain to help keep me safe. Following that, you also owe me an artifact of at least Legendary grade, remember?”
Aalam felt his heart start to beat faster, and, likely due to Mila’s words triggering a slight shift in his soul, his Heightened Senses skill, which had been at 99%, was immediately mastered.
It was then time to perform the merge he’d been preparing for since he and Mila had entered into F rank.
Attempting to merge Spacetime Sensing (F-Legendary), Crafter’s Senses (F-Legendary), Void Sense (F-Legendary), Hunter’s Senses (F-Legendary), Psychic Domain (F-Legendary), Mana Domain (F-Legendary), Qi Domain (F-Legendary), Kinetic Senses (F-Legendary), Danger Sense (F-Legendary), Heightened Senses (F-Legendary), Life Death Detection (F-Legendary), Noble's Senses (F-Legendary), and Thief’s Senses (F-Legendary) to Sensory Domain (F-Heroic).
Requirements met: One space element Law Larva at middle grade or higher, one time element Law Larva at middle grade or higher, one life element Law Larva at middle grade or higher, one death element Law Larva at middle grade or higher, one light element Law Larva at middle grade or higher, one darkness element Law Larva at middle grade or higher, effective Perception of 6,912 or higher, effective Soul of 10,368 or higher, effective Aura of 10,368 or higher

Mila took her hand away, stood up, and then looked down at him with a big smile on her face. “So, it seems I was right. The fact you advanced so easily when that Krysta was flirting with you wasn’t a coincidence. It makes sense. You are an incubus prince after all.”
Then she leaned down and reached across his body with her right hand to touch the Left Hand of the Runescribe, summoning a bright green and gold skill orb into her hand before standing back up. “Now, please allow me to learn a healing skill, master.”
The skill orb contained the skill Breath of Life (F-Legendary) which she’d bought using a few tens of thousands of trial points from the Trial Tower, but, given the nature of her second class, she couldn’t learn a skill without Aalam’s permission, so he gave it and the skill orb in Mila’s hand vanished.
Then, without saying another word, Mila walked away and, if the same thing had happened a minute before, Aalam would have been very confused.
With his new Sensory Domain skill, however, he’d sensed Mila use qi to stop herself from blushing, and he could sense her heart beating as fast as his own. Instead of trying to analyze what that meant, however, he instead focused on understanding his new skill.
It was Heroic grade, the max possible grade for a skill at F rank, just like his other remaining skills, but the requirements for merging it were so much higher, so there was almost certainly more to it than just being able to sense everything which happened in a domain around him.
