Twilight sky
The radiant moon, which illustrates the field, dulled, revealing a dim crimson gory mess of both demons and beasts likewise across the field.
The once-beautiful meadow is now obscured by the scarlet hue of blood and is now used as a relic of a horrific battleground.
The barren field was fields of decaying bodies of great and demons as distant as the eye can observe; certainly, all that lingered was death, suffering, and the dim, starless night sky towering over me.
I am Lying in a pool of blood and gore on the blood-soaked ground, my eyes closed.
My origins were humble but weak, and my life was equally difficult, but I persevered to achieve the highest status but was still killed by someone higher.
My muscles forsake me, ignoring the commands and desires of my soul.
Currently, I couldn’t have peace. The demons stabbed my body with dozens of swords and two spears pierced my stomach.
I was overcome by a severe sense of exhaustion and lethargy of death and was unable to open my eyes.
I struggled to open my eyes, but I could only do so partially. No matter what I did, I was unable to further open them.
"Ah….."
His throat was parched, and my lips were as parched as sand. I could hardly move my lips to utter any sounds that were coherent or understandable. I was barely able to utter anything other than faint gasps.
"Heav...enly de...mon!"
My vision started to become foggy, and I had trouble seeing anything. Nobody laments my passing, which was caused by the heavenly demon and seven demon executives.
"W...hat d…did I do to deserve this?"
"Ashborn" my life began to flash before my sight, and I kept muttering my name.
The first vivid memory that came to me was that I was an apprentice at Heresy City Academy when I was a small child, and I was a weakling.
But I never give up since I had no choice but to run like a miserable fool when the beast attacked the city.
I didn't have any particular skills, and I didn't achieve anything notable; I was just lucky enough to get into the Hersey Mystic Academy.
This was not meant to indicate that I was illiterate or a complete idiot. I was the same as the majority of other apprentices.
"I was merely like an extra apprentice if this was a novel."
Since my only genuine aspiration has been to become an apprentice of the Heresy Mystic academy, anything else has always felt like an unattainable dream. I've never truly pushed myself outside my comfort zone or given my best to a task.
I had never wanted this before, though.
But despite being a weakling from a declining family and benefiting at least in part from nobility, I've always wished to express my gratitude to my parents.
I, therefore, took care to never procrastinate on completing my tasks or doing nothing. I nevertheless led a fairly "normal" life despite it.
I should have died, so how did I survive for this long, but why...fufu..cough"
That statement can be answered by saying that I was constantly under protection.
Hersey was a tranquil city with cutting-edge magic, technology, and engineering. However, everything changed, When the aquatic and aerial beasts attacked.
The First Dragon, also known as Cheoma, is the former monarch of Hersey City.
A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.
"Cough, cough"… Blood Poured out of my mouth.
He was a [Realm Creation level True-stage] fighter among thousands of other accomplished martial artists, but even he was helpless against the creatures until the very end.
Less than 1,000 survivors fled eastward along the hillside behind the valley mountain range. Throughout the escape, martial artists kept dying in the hills.
All of the Academy's chosen saints, nay, all of the Transcendent, real-stage martial artists, perish like flies because they were unable to subdue the beast that prowled the land, the air, and the sea.
I had ridiculously bad talent and came from a poor home.
I managed to flee the turbulent Hersey City with the help of my closest friends, Caleb Zenith and Grey White.
"I don't know how we escaped, but we did."
After that night, we came across another pack of beasts, we fought the ones that are weaker and ran when the strong one appeared, but we were suddenly cornered by stronger beasts, so to defend me. They sacrificed their lives for me.
As it was still clear in my mind, I was unable to forget the scene in which Grey's wrist was slashed into a bloody mess, and Caleb's arm was severed along with his solar plexus was pierced by a sharp claw protecting me from a huge Crab monster with multiple claws called Clawspoter attack.
I recalled how my eyes grew wide and my heart and soul raced in anguish and tears rolled down my eyes as they say their last words
"Bro, don't you dare die, live on"
I pondered as I bit my bottom-dried lip,
"Both of them were great martial artists, but we didn't anticipate meeting high-ranking land beasts."
I fled in fear, anguish, and in tears from the life-threatening attacks as the beasts that chased after me but I was able to survive and made it out of the East's high, unending highlands.
"No, I was just lucky to survive"
Despite having no talent, I was able to explore the Artificial island, while at the same time dodging and running from breasts, which had once been a haven for magic, science, and engineering but was now in ruins.
All the structurally complex constructions, whether they were tall or short, small or large, ancient or modern, crashed to the earth in a chaotic scene.
People fled in fear and some died before they realized what was occurring; the streets were dyed in the crimson blood of the citizens and martial artists.
I came across a lot of martial artists who battled and perished at the hands of land beasts; some of them killed the land beasts but were near death; others were captured by aerial beasts and consumed in the air.
In addition, I discovered a lot of enigmatic objects, including the Hyperión, the tree of life. I would not have been able to fight one on one with the heavenly demon and his executives.
Since I was one of those anomalies.
"I never imagined that someone like me would be able to fight a strong opponent like this and last this long.".
In Hersey city, everyone was aware that I was ill-equipped to accept fighting a low-rank beast, so they always want to protect me instead.
But at the time of the attack, "I was only a Peak proficient level"
Only in the latter stages of my life did I begin to develop a greater interest in a higher power.
If not for the Hyperión the tree of life, which is why all of this happened.
Since I obtained that orb, I had access to and read all the records of ancient martial artists that have been lost for thousands of years in the world in my head.
For these reasons, I was eventually able to ascend to the Realm Creation proficient stage, I could go higher if I still had time, but sadly, it was already too late.
I most likely felt the urge to train my martial arts seriously because I instinctively sensed that my time was running out.
"At least I didn't live a completely useless life.."
I had a terribly miserable life, looking back. I was never able to genuinely experience love the way everyone else did.
I never really had the opportunity to hold a woman's hand nor less kiss or even have sex either because since I was weak, I spent my entire childhood learning the ways of the sword.
I've always wanted to establish a name for myself in Hersey cities like a savior or a true saint, but I've never been able to do that.
I experienced one of the worst periods in the history of the Demons and breasts.
As numerous saints rose and fell, and also demons and beasts attacked and destroy things.
Numerous legends and myths emerged.
However, neither my name nor my identity would appear in these stories.
"Ah….."
I questioned whether this was the end because I could feel my strength ebbing away.
I never got any of the people, not friends, to gather around my deathbed, just corpses and a gory mess of dead beasts and demons around me.
I had a long, weak, and lonely life, and part of me wished I had a family who loved me,
"cough, cough…"
As I began to picture my two friends who died in the invasion as well as my parents that died during the invasion told me
"Run and never looked back"
Tears began to fall from my eyes, and I was forced to flee as I thought of my adoring mother blocking an attack from a breast with no head but the appearance of an obese man with a mouth on its chest with sharp teeth all around it named [Slashertips].
The next thing I saw was my father leaping at the point of the attack, blocking it with his aura shield as the breast extended its sharp, long tongue toward me as I raced.
I stopped and turned around as my eyes widened in desperation.
"No, father."
But it was too strong. Blood poured from my father's mouth as the monster's chest penetrated through the aura shield, and it did so as he spoke his final words.
"My sweet ash..born run.."
I used all of my weak mana to command my legs to run, "Run, run, I don't want to die," but they stubbornly refused to move as they trembled in terror at the approaching beast.
My body was in despair, my body was in agony, and my eyes reddened as tears flowed out like a rushing river, I was finally able to move, but forcing my legs to move tore my flesh.
I didn't feel the pain, I ran like a crazy man.
"Mother……Father..."
And before I knew it, these magnificent friends and parents began to vanish into the distance to the point where I was unable to contact them.
The bright yellow hue of the morning sun brightened from the horizon as I rolled my blurry eyes to the sky. The darkness of the night would soon disappear entirely from the sky.
Finally, this time, the sun had nearly fully risen. The many stars in the black heavens have nearly d
isappeared.
With a lovely look left on my face, my consciousness began to reach out and grasp the milky way. But at that moment I realized I never enjoyed the sight of the dusky sky.
"I guess I..."
With some consciousness left, I let out a cry of helplessness.
"I wanted to live my life the same way they did….."
Before I began to dwindle into an endless void.
