Leo opens his hazy eyes and looks around. He could feel his heart beating in his head and he desperately needed some water. Fuck, what happened. Leo wonders as he sits up. Leo takes out his phone to check the time and saw that he had a few message.
Leo opens a text from Sal.
Hey, I took the ambassador to work. For some reason you decided to snort a bunch of coke last night, so I guess I'll let you rest. But seriously dude, we're working. It's weird that you made the conscious decision to buy a coke experience package on top of the alcohol experience package, then at the end you even bought a sleep package and passed out at the club. Whatever, just take a taxi over when you’re ready. You’re at Su Sheng’s place by the way. That’s the ambassador in case you forgot.
Leo couldn’t help but smile as he reads the message.
Leo opens up a text from Penelope.
Come back, let’s talk this over. I’m sure what you do is understandable in some way. Let’s figure it out?
Leo lets out a sigh. Leo takes a look at his notifications as well.

Leo’s eyes widen. Fuck. What happened last night? He thinks, bewildered by the possible events that could have occurred. Leo lets out a breath. Fuck it. I should probably get out of here. He thinks before standing up.
…
…
Leo walks into the hotel like a zombie, gazing hazily at his surroundings. Unfortunately for Leo, the experience packages also came with drawbacks of whatever you were doing or consuming.
Leo walks over to the elevator when he sees an employee walk up to him. “Yes?” Leo says.
“Hello sir. A package came in for you.” The man says.
“Ugh, okay.” Leo says before gesturing. “Lead the way.” He says.
…
…
Leo flashes his key card and opens the door. He struggles to walk to the living room and places the package on the coffee table before collapsing onto the couch. Ugh. Fuck. I’m not going to work. I’m just going to sleep here. He thinks, feeling a little lifeless.
Penelope, hearing the door open, walks into the room. “There you are! Where were you!?” She begins to yell as she walks over. Seeing the package, she raises an eyebrow. “What’s this?” She asks.
Leo clears his throat. “Ah, ughm, that’s for you. Someone sent it over. From a, ugh, mysterious person. I think it’s from Hogwarts.” He mumbles before closing his eyes once again.
Penelope gives Leo a suspicious look before picking the package up and having a look. She gives Leo an unimpressed look and frowns slightly. “The shipping label has your name on it.” She says with a monotone voice. “What did you get me?” She asks as she begins to open the package. After opening the box, she saw that it was a stack of books. What’s this? The Art of Witchcraft, Beginner Spell Recipes, Valid Black Magic and the Value of Curses, Maintaining Relationships and Communicating with Deities, Faeries and Spirits, Warding Against Possession and the Importance of Imperfection. What is this? There are like 10 books here? What’s with all the weird occult stuff? She wonders as she looks to Leo. “Leo, what is this?” She asks.
“Ughhh. I don’t know. You tell me. They’re books. I thought you’d like them.” He tries to say as he dozes off.
Penelope frowns. “Because I’m a librarian? Leo, why would I be interested in these?” She asks, somewhat displeased. Does he not know me at all? She wonders, a hint of sadness on her face.
Leo sits up and looks to Penelope before letting out a sigh. “Ah, ughm, how can I say this? This sort of has to do with my job. Basically, it’s a weird, weird world. And these…” He says as he gestures to the books. “These are… part of this world…” He says before letting out a breath. “Damn, I need some water. My throat is as dry as a desert.” He says before standing up.
Penelope stares as Leo gets up and walks to the kitchen. “Wait a moment.” She says as she stands up and follows. “What do you mean they’re part of this world? What are you trying to say?” She says as she walks into the kitchen.
Leo grabs a cup and lets out a chuckle. “I, ugh, don’t know.” He says as he fills his cup from the faucet. He turns to Penelope and drinks from his cup. “I’m not really sure how to say this, Penelope. Basically, it’s… Basically, do you believe in magic?” He asks casually.
Penelope’s eyes widen. “What are you saying Leo? That magic's real? That vampires are real? That there’s thing’s that go bump in the night?” She asks, somewhat bewildered.
Leo shrugs his shoulders and looks away. “I mean… Yeah, basically. And this sort of ties into why I’m a creep who messes with people’s lives. There’s a world outside the world we know. And there are certain powers that we can’t really go against.” He says, trying to be as plain about it as he could.
Penelope lets out a breath. “I need a drink.” She says, unsure what else to say.
