A shield of light magic surrounded me. "What's this for?"
"You don't need to know yet. I'll tell you once you reach a higher level."
Almthar punched the air. I felt immense power coming from the punch, seven emotions, with 108 links. What was that? A hole tore in space, leading into some sort of void, like space, but without stars or anything.
Almthar turned into a similar form as Ylmthar was always in. "My natural state. I stay human to be normal, but this is no laughing matter. It is for level 200s." Almthar was just missing the blood-coated sword, although the form was golden and much more welcoming.
Almthar picked me up, and ran into the hole. He ran, and realms flashed by. It was like actually going into the space between realms you went to before manipulating essence, except it was full of higher leveled realms.
Once we got to the brightest realm, Almthar tore a hole in that, clogged the hole, and let us in, quickly closing the hole.
My body was teleported. I was in Almthar's throne room. It was truly glorious. Each throne had an aura attached to it. At the top, there was a large throne, which I presumed was for the king himself. The one under that throne had my aura. Under that was a throne that brimmed with dedication to Almthar, with higher dedication than most people had to staying alive. The seven thrones under it also brimmed with dedication. The twelve under it seemed more powerful than the ones for the priests. They were probably defenders.
"Chosen, arise to your throne." Almthar spoke in a very formal throne.
Almthar clicked another ring. A high priest, at level 185, 7 major priests, at level 175, one of whom I had met when I had first entered Almthar's realm, and twelve level 185 defenders, with extremely powerful combat auras.
Almthar was still in his true form, and ascended to his throne. I took my throne under him. The high priest under me. The seven major priests under him. The defenders under them.
There was a gem on my throne. It felt like I should have had it my whole life.
I picked it up. It melted into me.
"My High Blessing."
The power of light sunk into me. My skin started glowing slightly golden, like Almthar's. But it kept the gray hue.
"Council, my Chosen as ascended to his seat."
The king gave a 20 minute speech on completely irrelevant things, like how to worship me. It was fine to just do it the same way as back in the Sasomac Empire.
If you spot this tale on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
I wondered how the nobles were running the Empire. I hadn't given them any contingencies on what to do it this happened, as I didn't know it was possible until Ylmthar made it happen.
After that, I was mostly done. I left the throne room, Almthar following me.
"Stop."
"No."
"Why?"
"I need to get my armor fixed."
"Oh, that's simple."
Almthar drew a 15 foot tall stave. It was an inviting hue of gold. He tapped my helmet with the green gem that floated on the end. He put a few nonillion mana into it, and the helmet went back in time. It was repaired quickly. He put a few million mana through it.
"There. It's repaired, locked in time a year ago. Should have also undone some minor scratches."
"Okay. Also, I've mastered the levitation."
"Prove it."
We turned into the hallway with the training room, and stepped in. The rock was still there.
"372 pebbles."
I levitated 372 pebbles, along with the boulder.
"576 pebbles."
I levitated more.
"222 pebbles."
I put some down.
"Good. Also, I forgot."
Almthar put the stave away and shrunk into human form.
"Okay. Your mana control has become better. I'm going to teach you some real spells. What spells do you already know, besides the system offered spells?"
"Levitate, purify, beacon, beam, and blast."
"Okay. I'm going to tell you something. The system offered teleport is something that you should never use. It costs 50 times the mana it really needs. You should be able to create your own teleport structure.
"Here's how the spell works:
"When you use the system offered one, the system takes your mana, and casts the spell for a fraction of the real cost. It uses the other mana for its own selfish needs.
"Your own structures will allow you to go just as far, although it might be slightly less efficient, because there's no tax.
"So, to get your own structure, teleport is perhaps the simplest skill, aside from beam, blast, or levitate. Simply wrap yourself in mana, and put that mana through a tube that you create that leads to your destination."
I created my own frame, and teleported 10 feet. It cost 20 mana. I teleported across with the system skill. It cost a thousand mana. It was easier, but the extreme mana cost wasn't worth it.
"Okay. The next spell I want to teach you is a shield.
"It's also a simple spell. To cast it, you literally just create a plate of hardened mana. Create anywhere from 5 to 10 layers, and connect then on the outside."
I created a shield. It was quite the simple spell. I had already learned two spells: shield and levitate.
"Conjure is pretty much a harder version of shield. To cast conjure, you pretty much cast shield, except it goes from a plate shape to the shape of whatever you're conjuring. With a proper amount of payers for that thing. To stop it from dissipating, constantly pour roughly a million mana into it per second."
I summoned a hammer.
I created a few more things. A table for instance.
I was done with that spell.
"Okay. I need to learn something harder."
"That's the basis of magic. From there, you can cast most spells."
"Okay. I'm going to get some levels then."
I had everything out of the way. "I'd recommend working on your 2 path pillars. That's the main reason most gods can't pass to system level. They get stuck with their pillars."
"What the hell are pillars?"
"You need to reaffirm your path. You need them to pass through to level 126. Start working on them now. Or your seed of eternal truth."
"How do I build the pillars?"
"Well, first, aspect your mana to light and stamina to warhammer."
I did a quick attempt at the seed of eternal truth. It failed, though.
I went into essence world.
I was going to start aspecting my cores.
