Chapter 17

Chapter 17

I saw that nobles were grinding the Empire's size at a high enough rate for me to start cultivating.

And I would truly cultivate.

The Seed of Eternal Truth.

As it grew into a plant, I would get high amounts of power.

Some gods had only survived until godhood because of it. Those those people were the idiot sages who refused to hurt anything. It was much more efficient to kill farm monsters then take the path of those idiot sages.

I sat in a cave on Venus, to began cultivating. My hammer floated in front of me.

I went into the essence thing.

I went to the very core of my being, where there was a small seed. It would grow into a hammer, giving me enough strength to destroy anything that dared annoy me, even if it was the system itself.

I forced all my essence into it. All three resources started moving around like idiots within the pathways. All were moving towards the seed.

An unbearable pain grew in my physical body where the seed was. No, my metaphysical body, as I had removed my physical pain receptors.

A grip started to form before I was kicked out.

I sensed I wouldn't be able to do that for some time.

So I went to grind monsters.

I quickly found a horde of level 77 End Heaters.

I knew that no physical weapon would work on them, but I stood at the top. These commoner monsters didn't stand a chance against those who truly stood at the pinnacle. They were merely random essence fire monsters.

I went into the essence shape again. I forced those monsters' essence to become mine. Venus took some of the essence, but that was fine.

When I exited, they were no more than steaming piles of goo.

Next, I found some level 76 rock-heat tops. They were just self-melting rocks. As long as I was quick enough, they would be no stronger than some level 65 monster. It was basically smashing rocks at high speed, like this earth game called Whack-a-Mole.

I smashed through the crowd before any monsters could turn into lava. Again, I barely got any exp.

This book was originally published on Royal Road. Check it out there for the real experience.

I next found a single level 82 core dweller. These monsters thought they could rule a planet. But I would rule them. They were just fast and hot. Not strong..

I knew that the only real threat they posed was speed and heat. No real physical force.

I turned my skin into freezite foil. I could move extremely fast in this skin, eliminating any speed advantage the monster had, and it was so cold that any heat would just make it a normal temperature. It would take level 87 fire to melt freezite, so I would be safe. This monster would have level 84 fire, so I knew I was safe. So I had some death to do.

I smashed my hammer into the monster. As hard as I could. It got three hits on the foil in return, but I hardly cared. It was like a single piece of ice trying to cool a gallon of water: futile. This idiot elemental who knew nothing other than mild heat would die by my hand.

I hit it again. And again. And again. Once the monster was on half health, my foil had only gotten a single burn, and the burn was quite cold. It had done quite a bit of damage, but I was fine. I had promptly replaced that part of my skin, making me almost immune to its damage.

I killed it. It only took twenty minutes or so. I hadn't gotten too much exp, but it was still more than enough to propel me 1/5 of the way through level 75.

I changed my skin back. The foil skin was uncomfortable, and plus, it made me look worse.

I left Venus. I knew that I didn't want to keep fighting fire monsters, or I'd not get enough practice fighting other things.

I went to my favorite fighting ground: outer space.

I only then remembered magic came from planets.

So, the solution was to speedrun Empire size. I let the nobles out of their boxes. I would claim planets for the Empire, and nobles would give them magic. Galaxies would be split into sets of 28. I, the great Emperor, would rule 21 of the galaxies. The nobles could scramble over which ones they got, but I got the biggest 21. All the other nobles would get 1.

I took off at my highest pace. We started conquering, at full speed.

By the end of the day, we had conquered not 28 galaxies, but 5 galaxy clusters. My nobles were still putting the planets to the correct level.

I decided I would go to Venus until the nobles were done and then I would conquer some more planets.

On Venus, I just fought fire elementals. I fought 76 level 75 ones and 39 level 76 elementals.

I had a level 50 avatar watch over the nobles until they were almost done, when I teleported back, and conquered some new clusters.

Within a yed, we had conquered the entire Virgo Supercluster.

Within a few weeks in yed time, we had 28 superclusters (besides Virgo).

That was a good stopping point. Each noble had a supercluster, and I had everything else. Virgo was shared.

I went to that planet in the Prime Minister of India's territory. I took a vacation for a yed there.

Nothing really happened on that vacation. I just liked that planet a lot.

I got back from that vacation on the 750th Sasomac day.

There was another feast.

The nobles gave a speech that was similar before the feast. However, instead of getting so much food, I got something else.

I got a food called hashanter.

How did Earthlings know how to make hashanter? It was something only gold-section chefs made back on Kantala.

It was made with high-levels in mind. It was basically about a trillion mana, stamina, and health, compressed into one ounce. It had that compressed into a piece of bread. The piece of bread would have a pocket inside it, containing cheese, a sauce called marinara sauce, and some toppings on it. I liked onions and another vegetable called garrots, which were essentially green sweet carrots at level 65.

After the feast, the nobles walked up to me with a gold box with a colorful ribbon on it. They all said, "Happy Sasomac day, great Emperor."
