When I woke up it was dark so I concluded that it was night time. I’m still a little bit sleepy; I could even barely open my eyes. Though I felt more like I was squinting them than actually opening them.

I tried moving a bit, but I could even hardly tilt my head, it seems like I was stuck between something. It wasn’t really rough, but it wasn’t that soft either and it feels warm and comfortable so I guess being stuck like this isn’t so bad, I guess!

But being still is annoying, not more than a minute had passed since I woke up, not moving so I lost my patience. I forced my body to turn around to see what is happening.

There I saw my mom hugging me from behind. It seems I was being used as a body pillow. So that’s why I can’t move, not that I could do much with it anyway so I turned back again and return to sleep.

When I woke up again, I heard two people talking. I turn around to see who it was. One is my mother and the other is… not Roana. I originally thought it was mother and Roana, the woman from before but it seems I was wrong. It’s a girl I’ve never seen before.

She has blue-violet hair that runs freely all the way to her waist. She wears a reddish-brown dress with an apron-like thing on top of it with a thistle colored skirt. She appears to be around 7 to 8 years old.

‘Judging from her dress, it seems like she is a maid. But too young!’

It seems that they finally noticed that I’m awake now they look at me.

“Oh! It seems my baby woke up”

My Mother quickly brought me up. Now that I can see the girl close up, I noticed her ears are a little bit pointed.

‘Is she an elf? I thought elf has long and pointed ears. Hers are, although pointed but not that long’

She is very quiet and reserved; more like she is practically emotionless. She just stood there without doing anything and staring at me.

Noticing my gaze, Mom began introducing her.

“Lyle, she is Sasha Elwood, a half-ling. starting today, she will be the one who will attend and take care of you.”

Because of the sudden formalities, I accidentally bow. Although I said I bow, I just lean my body forward.

“She’s so stubborn, right Lyle?”

Listening to her speaking as if she was talking to someone older, I forgot I was still a baby and nod.

Witnessing this, Sasha couldn’t hide his surprise anymore and cover her mouth with her hands. Who wouldn’t be, if you just saw a baby who just born yesterday, act like he understood what the others are talking. Such absurdity is impossible.

Seeing Sasha’s emotionless face distorted, Mother felt proud of his newborn baby.

“See, my child is so amazing!”

Hearing such response coming from her, mother felt dejected. Although I don’t know nor understand the circumstances regarding our relationship with this girl, from my mother’s tone of voice and actions, I can still deduce she is somewhat close to us.

Because of her stubbornness, my mother gave up and looks at me.

Yep, I was hungry. I just couldn’t help myself but be embarrassed whenever my stomach grumbles.

‘Wait a minute, what will I do if I’m hungry? I don’t think a kid like her can do it’

As if noticing my worries, my mother smile and looks at Sasha.

“Ah, right. If he becomes hungry, just call me, I will always be in my study. Don’t call for another people; I will be the one to feed him. Understand?”

“Yes your majesty!”

My mother pressed my face on her breast. I was reluctant, I’m embarrassed in doing that again, but, just like last time, the hunger helped me overcome it, so I started sucking. As usual, after I’ve finished I fell asleep afterwards.

Looks like I was reincarnated, or might be reincarnated.

I finally reached that conclusion. From the way I think and the vast information inside my head. I realized that fact.

Even though I don’t know why I still had my past memories, and especially why I couldn’t remember who am I in my past life, it wasn’t anything that bad it’s just that I felt I have forgotten something so important.
