- In the road –
“If it’s not for my father, I would never go to school! I already know the things I need to know. I bet I know things more than those teachers in that school!”
The man who is complaining while walking in the road is no other than the prince of the Dragonfang Kingdom, Lyle Drake Dragonfang. And beside him was his loyal, beautiful and always adorable attendant aka maid; Sasha.
The two of them was walking towards Academy City. Last night his father decided to enroll him in the school, left with no choice he agrees. Because it’s what he desires, his enrollment was hidden from the public. That’s why he left the kingdom early in the morning as to avoid the gathering of spectators.
Sasha smirked upon hearing Lyle’s complaints as if she found it amusing.
“Lyle-sama, you are still a boy. You need to experience being a student like any other else. Who knows you might find good friends there”
‘That’s the point. I already experience it! Not like I can say it!’ Lyle retorted on his mind “How about you Sasha? Why don’t you enroll to the school with me?”
“It’s not that I don’t want it Lyle-sama. It’s just I don’t need to I’m not a noble and especially I already acquired sufficient knowledge. I have been taught by her majesty since I’m still a child so that I can teach you everything when you grow” Sasha answered. “But it was unnecessary. Lyle-sama is already a genius that he doesn’t need someone to teach him”
Lyle just keeps walking while quietly listening to her. The suddenly as if she noticed something, Sasha stopped
“By the way Lyle-sama, where are we going? I don’t think this is the way to the Academy City”
Lyle took a deep breath, and nodded. “Right. Before I go to enter Academy City, I want to explore the enchanted forest
“Lyle-sama, you plan to go to that enchanted forest? No, you can’t, it’s too dangerous! That forest is filled with high level monsters!” Sasha couldn’t help but ask, her voice trembling and her eyes are filled of worry.
No one can blame her. The enchanted forest
All the other ordinary people usually ignore or avoid this place but not for Lyle.
“Relax. I have full confidence.”
“Lyle-sama, why do you want to go that kind of dangerous forest?”
“Let's see... To put it simply, it's because there is a sense of adventure to it. I want to experience it, that kind of thrilling and adventurous forest, I wouldn’t dare miss it! hahahahaha”
"I-I see. Then Lyle-sama wants to feel the thrill of adventure? But still it’s too dangerous! Even o for you, Lyle-sama"
"hm? Yeah. ‘Living for the thrills is the basis of being a hedonist’ is what my favorite character always said” Lyle said with confidence. “But you don’t need to come with me, Sasha. I want you to settle all the things regarding my enrollment in there without me. I don’t want to do something as troublesome as that”
“But Ly –“
“Please! I’m going to be fine, so don’t worry about me! You should know how strong I am, right?”
Sasha wanted to say something but Lyle cut her off. Because of she knows Lyle’s stubbornness she couldn’t argue back. She felt dejected but still she nods.

- Enchanted Forest
After Sasha left, Lyle went to the forest alone. Looking at its appearance from the distance, the forest is just like any other forest. Big and buzzling trees swaying and roaring sounds from different animals reverted inside of it.
After entering the forest, Lyle was without any impatience to advance, and rather quietly observed his surroundings.
Although outside he was calm and wary, inside he was so excited he didn’t seem to think that this was a dangerous place at all. The terrain within the forest was extremely complex; there were basically no roads inside.
Lyle attuned himself with the surrounding using the ‘one with the world’ concept. His vision and hearing both heightened to their keenest state, cautiously and solemnly observing the surroundings. He once read about monsters lore. Monsters and demon beasts were extremely aggressive, and some of them hate humans to the core. Most dreadful was, among monsters and demon beasts, there were some that act in group and always flocked together. Such as rodents and pact type monsters.

In other words, it was very possible for a traveler and an adventurer to meet a group of tyrannically strong and vicious monsters. If under these kinds of circumstances, unless an adventurer is not alone, and he was strong then there is an opportunity to win or escape but if he was unlucky, then the least possible thing that may happen will be his death.
Therefore, even though Lyle believes he is strong, he must still be extremely careful. He could not make any foolish mistakes, or otherwise, he would pay terrible consequences. Very possibly he would face great disaster or even his death.
Inside the enchanted forest, he spotted various monsters ranking from D to B. There is a bear with a body like fire (Flame Grizzly Rank C), a two headed python (Daihedoa serpent Rank C) and a Boar with a mane like stone (Stone Boar Rank D), so to test out his strength; he fought them one by one.
Result; insta-Kill.
Lyle, while fighting with the Flame Grizzly, wanted to test out his magic. First, he gathers enough mana in his hand and imagines the shape. The thing in his mind was a 1 meter ball of water. Then he added a rotation on it. Now it looks like a water bullet. Without waiting for the enemy to attack he launched the water bullet at the Bear.
BOOOOOM
The Flame Grizzly instantly explodes without waiting for it to dodge. Without taking the monster’s core crystal which can be sold according to rank, he left.
Just like the Flame Grizzly, all the monsters he encounters are all below B rank so obviously, for him they were foes he could defeat with one hand.
An hour has passed since he first enters the forest. During this time, all he did is fighting monsters, cutting through meadows, jumping over rocks, and running through the forest while experimenting his magic…
At that moment, he heard a shrill cry come from the distance. He immediately reacted to that cry that could be thought to have come from a beast or wild bird.
"What was that cry just now? It's the first time I've heard it."
He dropped his speed and stood still to survey his surroundings. Then suddenly, from out of nowhere, a large beast with a body length of around 5 metres spread its wings and glided, arriving before him like the wind.
Seeing the beast with the wings of an eagle and the lower body of a lion, Lyle raised a voice filled with shock and delight.
"A gryphon.........no way, a real one!?"
Lyle watched as the gryphon flew at the sky. His eyes were shining like those of a child who had just found a treasure he’d been continuously searching for.
‘.........Amazing. It really has the upper body of an eagle and the lower body of a lion. My phone where’s my phone. I need to take a picture of it!’ he was so excited he forgot he was not on earth but another world with technology far too behind that of earth.
“I want to ride it!” while saying so, Lyle immediately gather mana in his feet. His mana then transforms into the wind and accumulates under his feet which make him float. Finishing the basic magic, he flew towards the gryphon.
Arriving beside the gryphon, he noticed something peculiar.
‘Wah… he was not flying by propelling her wings but by RUNNING IN THE SKY!?’ Lyle let out an unsuppressed voice of wonder even as though he was suffering from the intense pressure bearing down on him due to flying at full speed.
The gryphon’s sharp eagle talons seemed to take hold of the wind. Even more amazed seeing it; he immediately grabbed the gryphon to ride its back.
Noticing what Lyle intends to do, fighting spirit immediately swelled within the gryphon's voice and eyes. To they who possessed noble mindsets and known as kings of beasts, they can’t just let anyone ride them without their permission. The gryphon somersaulted in the sky while spinning its body in order to shake him off but Lyle was still holding on. Left without choice, the gryphon decided to use its trump card.
“ShkreeeeeeeeeeeeehhhHHHH!!!!”
