An obsidian-haired boy was gazing up towards the vast sky, quietly admiring the beauty of the orange colored sky while feeling the wind touching his skin. Beside him were two little foxes curling around while rubbing their heads unto the boy’s body. His black hair flutters while his black colored coat contrasted sharply against the brown fur the beast he was riding.
The boy was resting, leaning lazily against the back of the gryphon. Although if one saw the gryphon from afar, it was no different from a regular gryphon but no one would expect that this gryphon was a deity rank beast that holds a divinity.
This boy was no other than Lyle and his companion the twin foxes; Sakura and Yuki, as well as his new found companion and friend the gryphon, Sheila.
“Are we going home right now, master?” the pink colored fox spoke, a beautiful smile playing across her thin lips.
Lyle turned his head toward her, his beautiful girly face brightens as a wide smile was drawn on it.
“Yeah! Sasha might be worried-sick about me right now!”
Without even lifting his gaze, he raised his hand to the pink and white colored fox and began to pet them. The foxes giggled, seemed pleased, crossing their paws and resting their head on top of them.
Lyle raised his head and looked at the sky again. Somewhere in his thoughts, there was a vague memory. A vague memory about a black haired man walking along the shore while singing. He can’t remember his face but he has a very weird feeling that he know who he is, no he wasn’t sure but he is him.
“From the world, my tears fall
In this world you’re irreplaceable
Living endless without you,
Seems like nothing but a nightmare!
I love you, and only you!
But this world won’t even let me,
Why does this world obstruct me?
When I do nothing but only love!”
“Lyle, you can sing?” asked the gryphon Sheila who is quietly listening to him this entire time. “What kind of song is that, it’s the first time I’ve heard it!”
“I don’t know, it’s also the first time I did it” he replied. “This song just suddenly pops out in my mind. Are we there yet?”
“Almost! Doth can see the city after passing that big tree” Sheila replied while continuing to run in the sky.
“Oh by the way, we should stop and land before someone saw us” Lyle said while caressing the gryphon’s back. “I don’t want to get unnecessary attention! You should change into human form before we enter the academy! I will give you my coat to wear, so no need to worry about neing naked!”
“Alright!”

The most important factor that allowed it to develop would be because of the four kingdoms backing it. From establishing new magic, technology, buildings and various things the academy city became one of the significant power forces in the continent.
And moreover it was surrounding by huge walls as if separating it with the rest of the world. The security is so strict that no one can easily enter the school ground unless you’re a student or have permission from the higher–ups.
Because of all that, it was now called: New City.
“Oh so this is Academy City. I felt like I’ve come back from Japan ain’t it.” Lyle sighed in admiration.
Just as Lyle and Sheila; who transform into a human while wearing Lyle’s black coat, arrived at the main gate, suddenly–
“Lyle-sama!.”
A familiar voice sounded out. Turning his head to look, surprised joy appeared on Lyle’s face. “Sasha!”
Sasha was standing in a corner near the gate. Smiling, she walked over. “Where have you been Lyle-sama!? Just how long do you think you are inside that forest!?”
“Sasha, eh, ah Sorry? By the way, why are you here?” Lyle said questioningly.
“I’ve already finished everything! You will now start tomorrow, the Dean says” she said, a look of irrepressible excitement appearing on her face. “Oh, the Dean wants to see you so you need to meet her tomorrow before you join your class!”
“Really? Thanks sasha!”
“You’re always welcome, Lyle-sama, but who is she?” she ask tilting her head to look at the girl beside him.
“Ah, this is Sheila. And—” his voice trailed off as he turned towards Sheila wearing nothing but a black coat. Seeing it, Sasha’s expression immediately changed that is why he was unsure of how to introduce her. Then, Sheila smiled at her and introduced herself:
“I’m his wife, Sheila. Nice to meet you.” She nodded confidently.
The blood drained out of Sasha’s face faster than anyone else is there. The air around them was completely frozen, even though it was the middle of summer. The stupefied Sasha and Lyle left speechless and couldn’t even move an inch. And then…
“…huuurgh…”
“Waaaaah! Sasha! Pull yourself together! Are you alright!?”
Right then and there, Sasha passed out and fell, causing Lyle to run over to help him up.
***************
Early morning, Lyle came to Red Rose Academy’s dean office.
Hearing a polite knock, a calm response came from the dean Moori schlevaria who was inside. Even though the dean, Moori was a bit surprised, she still ushered them in.
“Oh? You are?”
Moori offered him a seat as Lyle gave her some documents. Inside was his personal background, of course a fake one.
“Dean, my name is Shin Kariya. The document inside contains my background as well as the things seen in my status plate”
Moori’s eyes were wide open after hearing these sudden words and studied the documents seriously. After browsing through it once, she placed the documents on the table and exhaled deeply. Moori looked into the distance and said:
“Ara… Should I say this is unexpected… shin is it? These documents are fake right?”
“Ho? How can you say it’s fake.” Lyle smiled like usual when he was asked. No hint of panic in his face.
Moori directed her grayish eyes towards Lyle.
“*sigh* I give up. I know who you are, shin, no Lyle Drake Dragonfang prince of the Dragonfang kingdom, right?” Moori said while the corner of her lips turned into a smile.
Lyle clicked his tongue inwardly.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about!”
This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.
Lyle answered impatiently with a bitter face, and Moori shrugged her shoulders again.
“Your father already told me about it! so no need to fake your identity, Ouji!”
Lyle bit his lips, and then asked Moori.
“Is that true? Yare yare I told dad not to tell anyone *sigh* so what do you want?”
“Nothing in particular! I promised your dad I will keep quiet about your real identity so no need to worry about it anymore. Oh one thing, I heard rumors regarding the prince of the Dragonfang kingdom, so I want to confirm it with my own eyes.”
Moori intentionally shrugged her shoulders and fixedly looked into Lyle's eyes. Lyle was involuntarily overcome by the pressure of that overbearing stare.
“How? Do you want to fight me?”
“Nothing like that, I just want to see your Status plate, that’s enough for me!”
*Sigh*
Lyle took out a golden plate in his coat's pocket, and then put it onto the front desk.

Though his status and rank isn’t as amazing as the othe high-level adventurer such as mages and warriors, his were still at the level where a boy as young as him couldn’t even reach. The academy bore genius students from time to time, but the boy in front of him was beyond genius, no he is a real monster.
As expected, Moori was speechless as she became slack-jawed. It couldn’t be helped. Even though it is understandable to owned the skill such as
“My, my… I had thought there must be something, but something like these are…”
Drenched in cold sweat, Moori’s usual smile cramped when she saw his status and Lyle uncaringly smiled. The youngest student to reach B-rank in the whole history of the academy was only fourteen years old, but he, a twelve years old is an A-rank? What kind of blasphemy is this?
She looked at it normally, even if the silly contents seemed to be fixed through their lives, she could not help believing it because the status and skills she just seen were proven by the status plates. When Moori finished reading the plate, she sat deeply on her chair with a weary look that made her seemed like she suddenly aged for at least ten years.
“… Indeed I had expected something from hearing those rumors. But still… the actual things are far more oblique, huh…”
“… Then, Dean-san. What will you do?”
Moori corrected her seating as she looked at Lyle with calm expression.
“I’ve already promised your father. I will keep your identity as well as your abilities a secret!”
“… I see. Then that’s good.” Lyle shrugged his shoulders and used his gaze to express his sorry and gratitude.
“By the way, just in case, wear this” Moori took out something under her desk and then throw it to him.
……..a ring.
“What? A ring? No, no, hey dean-san, I’m still twelve years old, I don’t want to marry anyone for now!”
“What!? Just what the hell are you saying?”
“This ring! Didn’t you give it to me, because you want to propose to me? Please no, I apologize for being rude, but I think you’re way above your prime already!”
“Shut up, that’s not what I’m talking about! And for your information, I’m still thirty-two this year!”
“But even so, I’m still not looking for someone yet! So I’m really sorry!” he said while bowing.
“Listen to people will you!? *sigh* that ring is the
“But I don’t think I need it.”
“No you need it. That ring can hide someone’s status and abilities. Although only a few knows it.”
“Really? Are you sure you’re not lying because you’re just embarrass?”
“Will you stop!? Seriously, such a thing!”
“Dean-san..”
“Ah, What is it?”
“Thanks… I appreciate it.”
“Oh.”
These two were creating their own atmosphere. Really, if someone accidentally open the door and saw them, they will really misunderstand it.
