Time for the first Interlude of this story! Now, I bet you're curious about why there is an Interlude chapter thirteen chapters (well, fourteen if you count the Prologue) into the story thus far, but trust me, I didn't expect it either! I just had this idea while being slowly convinced to experience a bit of World of Warcraft's lore. Gotta say, I'm vaguely intrigued on that front, but I doubt I'll be spending money to buy membership for that game when I like RuneScape a bit more.
Oh yeah, while I may bring Erebus and company into Gielinor at some point during this story (or might not, depends), I DO have another fanfiction dedicated solely to the game. It's titled RuneScape: The World Guardian Saga and I'll attempt to do more of that story once I wrap up Chaotic Reality.
Seriously, I need the summer season away from that project lol.
Anyways, tangent over. Let's get back to this interlude, shall we?

Unlike lightsabers and using the Force to accomplish the same task, the three Unforgiveable Curses from Harry Potter are more efficient in that regard. From casting Crucio to torture your victims (aside from using Force Lightning) to using Avada Kedavra to instantly snuff out their lifeforce, it is fair enough to say that using the Unforgivables are a BIG no-no in that universe.
Good thing that for our MC who is able to travel the Variant Timelines with no issues, there are other places where he can train his magical prowess outside of the eyes of the Ministry. This can extend to his party members (some of which originate from that universe, but aren't canon characters. Sorry Canon lovers, but I'm not into doing the whole schtick with having canon characters like Ron, Dumbledore, or Hermione as love interests), but only if they were willing to go along with him.
Now, how will these curses work in this fanfic? Well, in a similar fashion to Hogwarts Legacy, Erebus will be able to slot spells that he can quickly cast using his System upon learning them as well as evolve them into "higher" forms like the spellement system from Wizard101.
Much like the games, movies, and books, any time Erebus casts the Unforgiveable Curses while within the Harry Potter universe (or Potterverse), the Ministry will learn of it and keep an eye on his actions through the Trace (until he removes it as I plan for him to be well over 17 by the time we go into that arc). As for using them outside of Potterverse, it will draw intrigue from the Sith, Jedi, Republic, and Empire alike. This is because the three spells are magical instead of being Force-related and may increase Erebus' sphere of influence on the later time periods.

Oh and in case you were wondering, I will be using the movies (all eight of them) to base the arc in with minor corrections based off of the books. As for the small "mistake" during the time period of Hogwarts Legacy, that will be using the game story too.
Now then, I do want to warn you all. As we go into the Korriban Arc, Erebus will learn everything he can from the Overseers while also keeping an eye on the Inquisitor (aka Darth Nox/Lord Kellig) and Wrath to have potential allies among the Sith for what the future will hold. He does not know that Kreia has been revived and knows about his future (and past) with the task of guiding him as her student.
Yes, I do plan on having Vowrawn and Marr find Erebus in the Academy, but maybe after a little surprise~
Get ready everyone. Things are going to get real dark now.
