Rumours

"What... do we do now, Reece?"

Reece was sitting at his desk. HIs face had a dark hue around it. For two days he couldn't believe what had happened that day. Never had he experienced this level of embarrassment in his life. Not even when he lost against that man.

"Do what? He won't do anything. If he goes to the principal then he would have to explain how he's this strong and what he was doing at the training facility."

After the fight that day, Reece and his guys took care of the place. All of them had anticipated a different outcome. Especially from some first year student.

"Let's first wait and see what happens. As long as he doesn't spill the beans it should be fine. The remaining problem would be him not trusting us anymore. We need him for the ritual. Especially because of the higher ups."

The lackeys didn't really know much about the rituals themselves but since they followed Reece they had heard of the things they did.

"Who is it?"

"Vildred here."

Reece immediately jumped up. His palms started getting sweaty.

"Ah, good day, sir."

"Listen, I think I told you to keep a distance from the new students, didn't I?"

His eyes opened up.

'SH#T! How did he find out?'

"Uhm,... I was jus-"

"Shut the f#ck up! You were given one task and this is what you delivered? I'm disappointed. Well, you're the one who's gonna be dealing with the consequences anyways."

"No, no, sir listen to me. I was just playing around a little bit but he suddenly became extremely strong and..."

He couldn't finish. If he admitted that he lost because he was to weak, then that would lead to his abi9lities being questioned. The reason why he got the role in the first place was because he was strong.

"Well, he rebelled and then ran away."

Vildred could hear from the way he was talking that that was not true.

"Whatever. Not my problem. What I need to know is if HE knows something."

"I don't think so. He ran away because we beat him up bad. There was no mention of this at all."

"Good. Make sure to keep it this way."

clack

"Dammit! How did he find out!!?"

Reece threw his phone against the wall, leaving behind a dent.

...

'Come to Mythra. In two days somebody will come. Follow him.'

That was part of the letter he had gotten earlier. That day should be today. Trimur had been waiting for that 'someone' to arrive for awhile. After killing Hdrees, he had been trying out the ring he now possessed. It basically made him a thousand if not ten thousand times stronger. The problem was, 'how'?

From what he could see, it sucked out energy from around it to create a purplish form of magic. At least something similar to it. He could make the form into a ball or a strike. Kind of like a painting brush. The forms were basically unlimited. One time he summoned a sword. After trying the things out he started wondering if the blood he put into it was a type of source for starting a ritual. Or rather something that was needed to do a ritual. He had heard something like this before. It was forbidden though, so there wasn't much information out there.

The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

'Well, whatever it is, I now have it and it makes me stronger.'

He felt a lot safer. Especially after seeing Hdrees, who wanted to take advantage of him, die that easily.

In the evening, he was making the food he had hunted on a fire. The bear meat was not only very nutritious but also easy to acquire. While eating something moved. It was fast, Faster than Trimur could see the details of the face. He grabbed his ring and tried to summon a sword. Before he was done, the shadow landed next to him.

"Who are you!?"

He stood up and back away.

"Letter."

After a few seconds Trimur realised that he was the 'someone' that was mentioned in the letter. They were wearing a black cloak with a symbol on it. It was the Flower of Death. A 'Spider Lily'. he had seen it somewhere before but couldn't remember it.

"Oh, I see. So you're the one who brought me this letter?"

The person shaked their head.

"Comrade. Me, take you. Mythra."

From the voice more masculine features could be heard.

"Okay. So, who... are you people?"

"No comment. You see later. No worry, we no harm."

"That's very nice of you but I don't know you, yet."

He looked at Trimur and then pointed towards his ring.

"We warn you. This save life."

"Ah, well, you're right on this one. You did save me, kinda. If it weren't for the letter, I probably would've been dead by now. I guess I'll have to trust you for now."

"Good."

Trimur grabbed some of the meat and offered it to the guy.

"Want some?"

He nodded his head.

"No eat. Only home."

"Suit yourself. Btw what's your name?"

"Leo."

"Leo, huh. That's pretty common. How come you don't properly speak the language?"

"Leo servant name. Not here. Home."

He started eating his bear meat. While doing that he observed Leo very carefully. Right now he couldn't trust anybody. Not even the people who rescued him.

When the fire turned to nothingness, both of them stood up and left the cave. It was a chilly night. When they arrived in the middle of the forest, Leo pulled out a little capsule. When he threw it on to the ground, it turned it into a circle. On it were weird symbols. nothing Trimur had ever seen before other than in movies.

pssssh

Leo started spewing magic. After saying things in another language, a giant door appeared.

"Go."

"Ahm,.. alright."

Both of them carefully entered. The door closed down and a colourful light was in front of them. After tipping something in, Leo led Trimur to a location near the door. It was a vase. A giant vase with a dragon on it.

"Break. We move."

Trimur looked at it shortly and then kicked it over.

tsss

The vase broke and they suddenly disappeared.

...

"Hey, have you heard about this one first year newbie who apparently fought against Reece?"

"Yeah, somebody told me earlier. If true, that's insane. I mean a first year against basically one of the strongest in the entire academy."

Rumours slowly started spreading amongst the students. Some believed it some didn't. Most of them doubted it, though. Nobody had seen something like that happen before. At least not in this sense. Normally if a newbie and an older student fought, or anybody for that matter, they did it in an arena. These were textbook rules set by the school body. Some rumours said that it only was a little altercation whereas some other speculated that somebody like Reece, who was always boastful, would've tried to kill him just for fun.

All in all though, it became a topic big enough for it to make it to the principal's office.

"Who is this student?"

"Johan von Parseval. He's from one of the stronger families. Let's see what we can find on him."

Usually the academy held information about every student. From birthplace to the last class they took. It was an important thing to do for such a prestigious school. The fees to go to Euros Academia far exceeded the normal persons yearly salary. That's why only talented and rich people went there.

"He seems to be quite new to this all. He is only registered as a new agent. meaning somebody who just learned about powers, the systems and so on."

They tried to find more but there wasn't more.

"Strange. What a strange case. How did he fight against Reece. Well, maybe we should just ask him."

...

"Yes, Mrs. Altenberg. What can I do for you?"

"Explain a few things. Such as to why you fought against Johan von Parseval."

He had anticipated that this was the reason why she had called him but he still a little anxiety in him.

"Well, as you know I or we try to help new students get better involved in school activities. This time around we tried to teach them basic fighting skills. But when it came down to the training part, he couldn't control him and went berserk. So I has to teach him a lesson. Nothing happened though. No need to worry."

She looked him dead in the eyes.

"Is that true?"

"A hundred percent."

"Well, if I ask Johan the same question, what will he answer?"

"I don't know. Maybe he will try to blame me?"

He took the smarter route. Knowing that the principle would check him out anyways, he just answered almost truthfully. The small details didn't matter.

"Hmm, well, then let me ask him. You can go now."

He left the room.

"Which piece of sh#t put this around the school?"
