Johan had a dream. A weird dream. He was riding Bahamut over the mountains and the sea. Eventually he landed on an island and started to look around there were many fruits on the trees. Some of them looked familiar and some not so. The one big difference though was that the fruits were enormous. Like a lot bigger than a normal fruit would be. Grabbing one that looked like an apple he bit into it. It had the sweetest of tastes and was super light.

"Hmm, that's so good!"

Juices were dripping down his face. Eating on after the other Johan almost ate half a dozen.

"Uff, that did it. That should be enough for a while. Hmm...? Shit, it's raining."

Looking around he could only see the cave. Trying to be quick he ran into the cave. Going he noticed that it was quite deep.

WE SHOULD NOT GO IN DEEPER. I CANNOT SENSE ANYTHING. NO LIFE, NOTHING.

'Well, if you say so.'

Johan and Bahamut remained in the cave entrance for two hours. The rain didn't stop and since they had some time, they started training and figuring out new moves and new ways to use certain abilities.

Laying on the ground Johan closed his eyes. For a few minutes he tried to enjoy the rainy atmosphere. Then a loud thump could be heard.

THERE IA SOMEBODY IN THE CAVE! OR RATHER SOMETHING. HURRY WE SHOULD GET READY TO FIGHT.

'Well... why?'

Johan was still lying on the ground with a careless expression on his face. He couldn't care less about who was there right now. His body needed regeneration after Bahamut's hard training lesson.

IT IS NOT SOMEBODY WE CAN BEAT EASILY. I CAN SENSE IMMENSE KILLING INTENT AND MALICE.

"Huff! Well, if master Bahamut says so then I guess we should get ready."

Johan stood up and channelled the Light into an armour. His body started radiating little sparkles and energy waves could be seen around his stance. He also summoned a Light Sword that he created. It had a handle of gold and the blade had a bright light that could be seen from far away.

"Let's gooo! Whoever is out there come ate me at once!"

Bahamut also got in an offensive posture and was ready to fight.

Three minutes passing the earth started to shake.

Thump

It was like a giant was coming out of the cave. The stalactites started to fall of while the ground had cracks in it.

Now even Johan was a little nervous. He started increasing the level of energy output.

'Woah, it seems to be gigantic.'

Slowly but steadily the sounds grew louder. At some point a head started peaking out and then the body. It was very slow and seemed noncombative.

VERY WEIRD. THE KILLING INTENT IS STILL THERE BUT IT SEEMS TO DERIVE FROM SOMEWHERE ELSE. IT'S STILL FURTHER IN THE BACK. THIS ONE DOESN'T HAVE ANY KILLING INTENT. IF ANYTHING IT SEEMS TO IGNORE US.

After about half an hour around fifteen of the giant 'animals' came out. They looked like Comodo varans but had a more flat back with two humps. Almost like a camel. The mouth was also extremely long and wide. It seemed to be a type of food storage.

The cave entrance was almost full and the enemy still could not be seen.

Meanwhile Johan had already petted some of the animals and even sat on one.

"Wow! They're really sweet."

INDEED BUT THAT'S ONLY THEM. NOW WE HAVE TO SEE IF THE MASTER IS THE SAME.

Slowly the tension grew stronger and then finally a smaller animal came out. It was of similar looks but had a shielded body. The skin was also white and its eyes were red.

'Albino.'

On top of the albino a small figure could be seen. It was a girl with white hair and red eyes.

'Another albino.'

"Khsss andala chaa! vremmiun haver?"

Johan looked perplexed.

SHE'S ASKING US WHO WE ARE.

'Well, can you tell her?'

"MY LADY, WE ARE TWO TRAVELERS WHO GOT LOST ON THIS ISLAND. WE WERE LOOKING FOR SHELTER AFTER IT STARTED RAINING. WE MEAN NO HARM."

The girl had a distrusting look on her face. Her eyes were looking at Bahamut with extreme caution. It seemed like she feared him.

'Bahamut I think she can sense your strength. Maybe you should come back and I'll talk to her. You can translate for me.'

AS YOU WISH MY LORD.

All of a sudden Bahamut became a shadow and went into Johan.

The girl shrieked back a bit and almost shouted something.

"Wait! It's all okay!"

Johan threw his arms up.

"He's gone now!"

With Bahamut back in his body he could also use his language translation ability and talked to the girl to calm her down.

"What did you do?"

"He and I are one. He's like my pet so that's why we can fuse. Don't worry though he can only do anything at my command."

She still didn't trust him.

"Leave, now. If you don't then I will have to kill you."

He knew that he had to leave if he wanted this situation to not escalate.

As he was about to leave the entrance, the animal from earlier went to him and started to cuddle him. Johan caressed its head and smiled.

"Well, goodbye."

"Hnnn, hnnn."

It seemed to weep a little.

"Don't worry, I'm leaving for now. Maybe We'll see each other again."

It accompanied him out of the cave but returned immediately after his departure.

'Well, we have to leave for now. You can come out.'

Bahamut defused himself and landed on the ground.

'Well, it seems like we're not welcomed here. Wait, why are we even here?'

Bahamut didn't say anything. He instead was looking in the distant.

'What is it?'

Nothing happened for a while, but then a small sparkle appeared in the distance. It came closer and closer and then crashed to the ground.

Boom!

A huge cloud of smoke appeared before a girl with long blonde hair appeared. Her face looked like she was about to murder them. She had a fierce smile on her face while her robe flew in the wind.

"Oy, you little chipmunk.", she smiled.

She jumped in front of Johan and put her hand on is cheek. He blushed the heaviest like ever in the whole universe and more bruv.

"Woah, you can't just touch me like that."

"Oh yeah? Why not, chocolate cookie?"

"Yoooooooo, you can't do this. I'm just a lil boy. Like wussup?"

"Hehehe, how cute."

From one moment to another her expression changed and she looked at him seriously.

"Be careful, Johan. He's coming. He will try to get the crystal. In the was he will kill the entire family if necessary."

"How do you know my name?", Johan asked with a concerned face.

"Don't worry about that. Just know that I'm here to protect you but I can't do that forever. Now that you have the crystal you should be able to defend yourself. Anyways here is something for you."

She pulled out a ring.

"It will help you get in contact with any person without talking to them and being near them. Don't use it to often though since it has a use limit of ten people who can be registered on it. You can't change them."

Johan took the ring and looked at it with suspicion.

"Why give it to me?"

For a second she didn't say anything but then she came closer and gave him a kiss on his forehead.

"Because I love you and I will not lose you as well."

"Now leave!"

Whoosh!

Johan woke up.

"Haah, haah ,what was that?"

He couldn't understand how that was not real.

'It felt so real.'

After calming down he stood up and went to the kitchen.

'Where's the water?'

After looking for a while he gave up and went to the sink. Before he could take sip of the water he saw a ring on his hand.

'Wait...? How?'

He took a look at the ring and it was the same from his dream. Dumbfounded he decided to use it on somebody later.

"Have you gotten any information about the item I asked you about?"

"sir, I looked into it and there seem to be two gates with the items. Both ranked 'A'"

Thimaeuss pondered for a while. His skin had gotten paler than before and his eyes were red.

"Let's visit both."

Himmelstein looked at the patriarch with concern.

"My Lord, are you sure? I can gather a squad and-"

"Do as I say. Nobody can know."

Looking down he answered; "As you wish."

"Aah...", the patriarch sighed.

'I have to get the items quickly before another attack comes in.'

He already had an idea of who it could be but regardless he had to get the core repaired in time.
