Peter Adelhardt was in a rut. He was in a dilemma. On one side his wife was basically threatening to throw him out of the house if he didn't take the position as the new governor of Frankheim. On the other side his father was about to disown him after telling him to not take the position as governor. Both were trying to eat of his ears. The issue he had was that he was trying to please both of them simultaneously while neglecting what he wanted.
His father had built one of Germania's biggest companies since he was young. 'Adelhardt GmbH'. He was now over a hundred and eighty years old but still kicking it. Not only was he extremely athletic and strong but he also maintained 'Adelhardt GmbH' as if it were not a big problem.
The motto of his life was to get as much wealth as possible. If somebody he interacted with was not providing him with some kind of value then he would cut ties with them immediately. Even if it were a child of his. That had happened before. One of his children didn't want to work in the company but rather become an artist and so he disowned him and never talked to him again. Learning from this the other children never went against their father and complied to his wishes.
Coming to Peter, he was his father's third child. He got into the family business very early as he wasn't very good at sales but excelled at IT related things. He quickly started learning the basic structure of the electronics subsidiary of 'Adelhardt', 'Adelhardt Electronics'. After working there for a couple of years, he climbed the ladder and became vice-chairman at the whopping age of thirty five. Despite his success in that region of his life, the other parts lacked severely. He was basically the biggest noob on planet earth. Obese, neck beard, long hair, anime fan and so on and so forth. On a long ride home after a company event, he met a young lady in a restaurant late at night. She was the first woman who became interested in him for other reasons than his position.
They started talking for a while and after just two months of knowing each other, they got married. Everything went well up until the wife got involved in family matters. Contrary to Peter's wish, she was just as bad as his father. The only difference between them was, that the father was old fashioned and the wife didn't really care about tradition. She was crazy. Not only did she risk it all but she also just threw away business after business because she didn't like them. The father, though, had never abandoned a single of his businesses before.
So all in all, Peter got stuck in between two of the most annoying characters, he knew. One was so old, he couldn't even remember him being young, while the other one had more balls than all of them.
"Honey, did you do as I asked of you? Look, I even got the things from the black market."
His wife, Luana, always used his name as a threatening mechanism to get things done. Since he was pretty well known, or rather the company, it most of the times did wonders.
"Uhm,... well, I... uhm..."
She stared at him like he was a elementary school child who was about to get scolded for not finishing homework on time.
"What?"
"I mean, I did think about it but I don't know the answer yet."
"What are you talking about? Whatever. Just decide already. We have to start the campaign soon or else you'll never get elected."
Peter looked at the ground awkwardly and didn't answer. He couldn't muster up the courage to bring out a single syllable. It wasn't like she would do something to him, rather it was his own consciousness which didn't allow him to act any different way.

"Oh, also. Look into this guy. He seems to be interesting. It's a young boy from Euros. We might need him to volunteer for some 'practical training'."
"I see. I... will look into it. Uhm... are you fine? You... seemed a little... tired."
"You... of course I am fine."
She went ahead and gave him a hug. In her heart she loved him and so did he.

"Ah,... oh... father, I-"
"You, useless fool! You better have an excuse for this garbage or els-"
"HEY!! DON'T YOU DARE TALK TO MY HUSBAND LIKE THAT!!"
"HUH?? WHO WAS THAT? OH, I THINK I JUST HEARD A STUPID WOMAN IN THERE. WHAT IS SHE DOING IN A MAN'S WORLD? BUSINESS?"
Both went at each other. The wife felt offended because her father-in-law insulted his won son and the father then insulted the wife of his son and basically told her to go to a kitchen and make some sandwiches.
Peter didn't know what to do. As always. So he did what he always did and left the room.
'These two are nuts. How do they have this much energy all the time? These retards. Whatever. I have to finish things up.'
He looked at his phone and saw a message from Vildred.
Suddenly his face changed. His eyes became sharper. Just like Dr. Moriartus from Shernotlock Holmless, he was somebody who knew how to manipulate people. Especially greedy ones.
...
Going into class, Johan noticed students throwing a look at him. It happened subtly every other moment.
'Why is everybody acting this weird?'
PROBABLY BECAUSE OF YOUR HANDSOME FACE.
'Haha, very funny.'
"Johan!"
It was Adrian. He hadn't seen him since last week but it felt like an eternity.
"Adrian, how are you doing?"
"I'm fine. What happened?"
"What do you mean 'what happened'?"
"You're fight I mean. With Reece."
'Sh#t. How did this spread so quickly?'
"Oh, that's what you mean. Well, it wasn't really that big of a deal. He just showed me some moves and I got a little ahead of myself so he showed me who the boss was."
Adrian had puppy like eyes. He couldn't imagine a fight with a top Ranker like Reece but here his cousin fought him and even learned some moves.
"Wow! That's awesome. So how strong was he?"
"Very strong. Far stronger than I thought he would be. But I did do my best against him."
"I see."
While they were talking, a girl walked up to them.
"Hey, you. Come to the literature club later."
"Hmm? Literature club?"
"Just be there."
She left without hearing him out.
"Weird. She does remind me of Hwaa."
"Yup, very true."
"Anyways, what were we talking about?"
...
"Mr. Benjamin, it's been a while."
"...Good evening, Mr Adelhardt. My apologies. I should've called you earlier. "
"No, need to apologize. I didn't say anything."
"Still the rumours should've never spread. Once they start, something might come up that will put us in danger."
"You. Put 'you' in danger. There was never a talk about 'us'. Get it right or else you might come to regret it."
"Yeah, I'm sorry. 'I' will be in danger. I will take care of the mess. Please give me another chance."
Peter didn't say anything for a while. A nervous breathing could be heard from Benjamin's side.
"Get the guys under control. Look into Johan von Parseval. Our partners are growing impatient. Mess this up and I will get rid of you."
"Thank you, sir! I will do my best."

"Aaaaahh! Why did I take the money?! Sh#t! F#ck!"
The teacher almost broke together. He started to realize that he was on this alone. If anything got leaked he would be the one taking all of the blame. He was just a lap dog, nothing more.
...
"Make sure everything is set. My grandson shall see the greatest demonstration of my powers! Thimoeuss von Parseval, the patriarch of the von Parseval family."
"You sure are doing a lot, considering it's just a couple of hours you will be seeing your grandson. Also it's not like you can't see him any time you want to."
"Yeah, yeah, keep talking. I'll make sure he has the best experience in this house. Nothing should stand in the way of us."
Many workers were making an arena. A place where both of them would train and test out their abilities.
"No, not there! Put it over here or else it will look like it isn't for use."
'Hah! This man sure is special.'
Carla von Parseval was sewing a pullover for her grandson. He was the only one from Mattheuses sons, that was still alive.
'I'll make sure he is well fed. His mother is gone for a while so somebody has to take care.'
