Expecting a bunch of 12-year-olds to understand the intricacies of magic was a bit too much. Peter knew in his heart that it wasn't going to be a possibility. But you do learn to cope when your ass is finally on fire. Smiling he went back to the class that he had to attend. 'I wonder what Miss Serina will teach today.' Peter took out his Tier 4 ID card swiping it on the keypad, waiting for the corridor to open.
Class 9B
"That class was over too fast." Jim pulled over the chair as the rest joined surrounding Sam. "So tell me. You know why the book fell right?" "Book is heavy. You need to apply more force to keep it up. If you channel with just 10 mana, the counterforce you apply will be too low to keep a book in the air." Sam said to the three eagerly waiting for him.
"I wonder if he gives bonus points for the answer tomorrow," Maya said, stretching her hands behind her. "If you don't know it's better not to fake it. What if he asked something weird to quiz you?" Dona said, pulling her closer into a hug.
"I wonder who our fifth member will be. Looks like they haven't done sorting that out yet." Jim said looking out towards the door.
Suddenly, someone wearing a golden robe entered the room. He took out a few papers from his dimensional storage and started reading out the names.
"Justin, Sam, Jim, Maya, Dona. Party 17."
The guy left just as fast as he came. "Justin? Who is Justin?" Sam and Jim looked around and soon found the girl at the back staring at them as if scared. "Are you Justin?" Peter asked out loud to the girl. She noted her head and sat rooted to the place.
'Too scared? But why?' He looked and soon found the issue. 'It's that girl. No wonder. Looks like someone did a number on her.' Sam turned to look at Jim and said to Maya and Dona. "Bring her over. Try and let her stay close to you. It looks like she is scared stiff." "Okay. BRB." The two stood up and walked towards the scared girl. Seeing the two approach her, the girl started shaking visibly. "I'm sorry. I promise I won't be a burden." She started bowing repeatedly in front of the two. "Cut it out. Come sit with us from now on."

Dona grabbed her hand and pulled her up. At least she tried to. The girl sat grabbing the chair desperately. "No, no, no. I can't please leave." She shook Dona off violently. Seeing the girl act so frantic all four of them become perplexed. 'Something is off. Could it be a spell?'
Dona was the most stunned. She kept staring at her hand. 'There's no way.' She couldn't believe the scared girl was able to loosen her grip. No one she met before was this strong amongst her peers.
Sam and Jim joined the girls to figure out what the issue was. After a few minutes of trying to convince her that they meant no harm, she finally opened up.
Her skirt was glued to the chair.
Maya and Dona both stared at each other in horror. After exchanging a few glances Maya asked her, "Do you have a spare skirt?" She slightly nodded, clutching the chair with all her might.
"What now?" Dona and Maya looked at Sam, their party leader. "Go get some teacher." Before Justin could protest, Dona rushed out towards the staff room. The three remained next to the girl and waited for Dona to come back.
"What happened?" Dona was able to get a hold of a female trainer. From the attire, she seemed to be a healer. Justin explained slowly.
When she stood up to answer Peter's question, someone placed an instant adhesive on the chair. She sat on it and her skirt got stuck to the chair. She wasn't able to notice it till her group was announced. "Looks like someone has it out for you." The trainer Bennett, whose name our party found out later, cast a quick reversal spell and the glue immediately came off.
"Looks like you found a good party at least. Ok then, I will be in the infirmary. If you feel itchy, come see me. You two, take her over to the changing room." She turned around and left as fast as she came. Dona and Maya took Justin to the changing room. The three of them joined the boys in the class a few minutes later.
"So, Justin has a rare job," Dona said as soon as they got settled. The two boys looked at her expectantly. "I'm a Village Warrior." She said in a soft voice. The two boys became as confused as the girls. "Told you, Sam wouldn't know about it. Pay up." Maya did a fist punch in the air over her victory.
Sam naturally didn't know what job that was. "I guess it's a powerful derivative of a warrior?" He remembered how the girl was able to shove off Dona's hands as if they were spider webs. "Nope." Said Maya as she was getting way over-excited. 'How much did you two bet for.'
"It's a mutated job from a warrior and a lancer. Technically it is one of the stronger damage dealer job."
Soon, another bell rang and the class became ready for their new trainer.
