Kohaku yawned as he plopped into the couch in his mansion, he was exhausted from the mission as he saw his father Kahayana cooking in the kitchen. "Are you tired, son? It's six in the morning and consider yourself lucky today is weekend," he said with a smile, making his son nodded with another yawn coming from his mouth. "I don't think I've ever felt this exhausted. What a great way to wake up in the morning and prepare myself," the younger scientist said, walking to the kitchen to see what he was cooking. Kahayana prepared some fried rice for breakfast, his son's favorite food, as Kohaku thanked him with a hug from behind him.
"Go have a nap, alright? Just imagine it as my way to spoil you as my pride and joy of our family. Not to mention I felt sad when you going out and working alone, I'm used to see you being clingy in the last few years," his father said, as the boy let out a soft sigh. He take off his non-prescription glasses, after he took LASIK surgery last month because he want his eyesight back and now he can see anything clearly without wearing a pair of glasses. Putting his glasses to the countertop, before he take a look at the clock in the living room. "Byakuya had a LASIK surgery last two weeks ago, Kyouka had to accompany her older brother because he was so nervous."
Kahayana was surprised that his son's best friend decided to take that surgery, but still kept his old glasses without prescription lens and now replaced with the non-prescription one as of lately. "I can't imagine him wearing sunglasses, it'll be hilarious," he commented jokingly. And his son actually laughed, he decided to visit him after breakfast. "Is he okay now? Like, is he allowed to remove his contact lens?" he asked, Kohaku nodded.
"Yup, today is the time for him to remove the lens from his eyes."
In the hospital, Kyouka watched her older brother left the room as Byakuya finally blinking normally, without squinting and he don't need a prescribed lens anymore. Kyouka was satisfied with the result, before she grinned. "How was it, nii-sama?" she asked him, while being careful of not saying it too loud for his sake as she watched her older brother approached her. "I can see things clearer, I don't have problems in my vision anymore," he answered, while wearing his non-prescribed frameless glasses.
Kyouka laughed with a sigh, walking beside him as Byakuya began to pay the bill. "Finally, but we can't pretend that our last names didn't exist because that would raise a lot of questions from those bastard Ayatsujis."
"You mean Kaname? That guy, seriously... no matter how much we argued--he's just not the one that we should have in the family."
Byakuya would've smiled if his situation weren't such as this, the same goes for Kyouka. "Are you hungry? I'll treat you to breakfast," he asked, Kyouka nodded as she smirked. "Yeah, I'm totally hungry," she answered, as they both leave the hospital. "How about your other contact lens you often used?" she added, wondering if he still use them during events. "I don't know, maybe?"
So, once they both have decided to enjoy their time in the park for eating breakfast--they'll be having pancakes while enjoying their morning. Sure, it's weird to have it for breakfast but who the heck care when you can have your morning meal like anything? Meanwhile, Kohaku was typing on his laptop to check the final-term tests from the students in Warmadewata University in his home like usual. He always fair and strict when it comes to scoring tests from his courses, he also collected the paper-based ones since the curriculum is IB in Warmadewata University in Bali is mainly focused to develop students with high leadership characteristics so his experience as being strict can actually help him there when he need to supervise them and watch them improve.
Although, he just fucking turned twenty-two years old like his friends (even Byakuya who was a lecturer like him) and considered the youngest lecturer in the campus. "Alright... the Paper 1 and Paper 2 are here... when will I update my grades, who knows... maybe a week or so," he said, before he checked the papers. Then, he remembered that his father is a master's degree in Biochemistry so... he had to ask him when there's a formula that looks complicated. And of course Kahayana knows about it and explained to him, finally finishing his task and saving the document.
"Dad, can you come here for a sec?" Kohaku asked, Kahayana is currently serving foods and drinks on the table and prepared coffee for both of them--he was holding a tray with a cup of coffee and a hot porridge for both of them, before Kahayana made him turned around when he realized it was his son calling. "Just give me a second, why?" he asked, he placed his laptop beside him after he locked it with password and let Kahayana came up close to him so he can fix his hair a bit. "This formula... the student's writing is so damn sloppy, I can't see it clearly and I can't grade it if it's small," he responded.
Kahayana grabbed the paper and put on his glasses, the youthful man read the writing before he hummed. "This is Heat Transfer formula, right?" he asked, Kohaku nodded when his father muttered the equations under his breath. "So, the heat transfer between a cylinder and a plate, huh. The formula is like this," his fingers started writing down the numbers and the algebraic formula on the whiteboard on the wall from the paper sheet, before he let him take a look at it. "See, this is what she wrote. Is that better for you?"
The latter nodded, before he read the formula and began to grade the answer sheet that the student have took for her term test. "Okay, thanks dad. My eyesight may be better, but small writings are so damn hard to decipher," he said, sighing in relief as Kahayana chuckled while pouring some honey in his coffee. "Now that you're employed as a lecturer, can I cut my allowance for you?" his father asked.
Wait, his father will cut some allowances for him? Kahayana Sahilendra Tirta, who's now a director in state-owned enterprise, one of the Secret Garden Administrators and government official? HE'S GOING TO WHAT?! Kohaku glanced at him, although his father looked young--to which he was the 'adult' version of Kohaku himself IS going to cut his allowance because he was already working?! He's rich but Kohaku want to prove that he's independent.
After letting out a small squeal, Kohaku shook his head and whined. "Dad, I know you're rich but you know I'm terrible at financial management!" he said, which is a painful fact that Kohaku has a terrible relationship with his money, since he's... well, almost a gullible man. Kahayana sighed when his son was nearly freaking out and whining after his suggestion, then Kohaku was throwing hands on how bad of an idea for Kahayana to cut his allowance because it'll be only hurting him more. "But I see what you mean, this is really your moment," his father said, although Kahayana was hesitant at first--he thought that Kohaku might want to be an adult and not rely on his wealth, there were not even the only options. "You're an adult now, like YOU STILL STAY AT OUR HOME?!"
Kohaku looked away, knowing this was his time to go and his father will force him to move on to a new place. "Look, I still need to go to someplace far away from you. But, I'm lecturing you know," he said, Kahayana frowned--he's right. Well fuck, because his father also busy with his official duties so... technically Kohaku is staying here in guarding their home. "Fuck, I guess we're terrible with this whole independent thing," he commented with a pout. Kahayana hated the idea of leaving his only child alone, but no choice when Kahayana haven't made a comfortable decision. "Wait, you want to transfer?"
"No, I'm lazy as fuck. Also, I wanna watch TV or continue reading my books after work. Wait, no. Forget I said that," Kohaku muttered the last sentence to himself, before his father clapped his hands. "Anyway, what will you do today with those grading stuff? Is it not all?"
Kohaku nodded, so there's no harm in that since he's finish with his tasks. "Seminars, webinars, helping head of study program department and also IB Curriculum Assessment Team on reports are my major concern next week, until two weeks later--then there's my department's orientation I have to join too. A holiday outing too for the staff and some lectures," he muttered that one too, before he saw some text messages that he almost missed during his work--he hates his bad habit a lot. Oh wait, it's not important message. "Eh, that's okay. You'll know how it feels like to be me," Kahayana stated.
Then, he received a message from Damien and checked his phone--making his eyes squinted a little. "Huh? The fuck?"
***
"There's a princess from the nation of Sandyakala who's our client?"
Damien nodded, he doesn't even know what is THAT island in Indonesia because that nation is so damn strange. Kohaku have no idea what kind of nation that Sandyakala is in Indonesia, so is that an archipelago within Java island? Whatever that means, they had a fucking client they need to protect. The photo shows a tall fair-skinned young woman with crimson-colored long and wavy with her bangs framing her red eyes, she wears a traditional golden dress with underneath of turtle neck that consists bi-colour of black and white; with long sleeves. It revealed her cleavage and shortness of the leggings. Her hair accessories were headdress and tiara that looked like a traditional royal princess from Indonesia, she wore boots underneath her gown and also wears a red visor on her eyes.
"Her name is Maharani Paramitha Kamila, or Crown Princess Kamila, she's twenty-two years old daughter of Maharani Elmira and Maharaja Ajisaka. Apparently her nation still part of Indonesia with many people but with different culture, now you can put how exotic the nation is into a word. The nation is part of Java Island, even I don't know if the nation is going to continue or not and how is the king and queen running that nation..."
Hisato explained, folding his arms. "So, you and your OUTLAW team must protect her because her nation is at risk of destroying by a hostile rebel group who wanted to overthrow her nation from outside force. We already have information about what they are doing and they're the ones that planning to overthrow the monarchy," he added, before Kohaku nodded. "Okay... sorry for not replying and being quiet earlier, because I was too occupied with grading some tests earlier. Also, when she will arrive? Because we need to discuss that further after this," he asked the two men.
Damien pulled out a cigarette from his pocket, thinking of the plan he'll let his crew to assist him. "Tonight, at seven, or six-thirty. Got it," he said, making the scientist groaned. "Why girls always come to me every night time? It's not that I hate them, but you get what I mean," he complained, facepalming.
Hisato yawned and shrugged, seeing that it's going to be the chaos again when he look at his co-worker and his friend's reaction. That night, Kohaku watched the crowds were gathering with photographers and flashes that made his eyes hurt, he flip off at the paparazzi who tried to take pictures and they backed away in fear of he'll screw them big time when they dared him to--glaring at them while closing his book and put on his glasses he was wearing before putting it on the table near him. "If you fucking touch the princess, I'll kill you in your sleep!" he snapped at the paparazzis.
"Motherfuckers, lucky that I didn't commit a serial crime," Kohaku muttered to himself, seeing the plane has arrived as he spotted a young princess the reporters were pursuing--and he knew this is his job, so is this her? "(Excuse me!)" he yelled in Indonesian, catching the attention of the crowd. Not to mention he became the center of attraction when he waved a book, before he cleared his throat and spoke once more. "You... (Can all of you make space and shit?!)"
They became scared as they immediately stepped away, not daring to provoke a threat when they see him nearly punched the photographer that peeking behind the others to capture her face. Just by a simple flip, that guy would've been KO'ed for a week and his pride shattered into the earth itself if that happen. Kohaku watched the photographers and reporters for a moment, before he saw a certain man holding a gun that aimed at Kamila--making him narrowed his eyes and aimed his flintlock in silencer mode; before he shoot him as he fell down. He swiftly put it back inside his coat that goes unnoticed--exposing the injured man to the public instead of Kohaku, Kamila was surprised that there was a man who was about to kill her and there's MORE to go.
"Let's go!"
Kohaku yelled, holding her wrist and ran with Kamila as the crown princess hastily nodded--while the others pursued them from behind, being curious why she decided to escape from the media. Kamila follows Kohaku when the young man instructed her to not raise her face for the moment so she avoided looking back, seriously there has been many attempted assassinations towards the officials of Sandyakala which came from foreign countries--good thing it's not Indonesian. He look around before he waved at one of Secret Garden's men in the black car to drive them away from the airport. "Are you okay?"
Kamila nodded, Kohaku sighed and thanked his own reflexes again--shit, for some reason her appearance was kind of beautiful as hell but he manage to keep his cool. "Meant to see you a little later, your highness..."
Turns out, Kamila is known as a calculating and self-reliant woman who takes her responsibilities very seriously and values them. She is also very strong-minded as she almost never backs down for her side, as well she is firm yet flexible in doing things. However, she's used to hide her insecurities and traumas behind a mask of stoicism to look firm--which can't be blamed if she was the only one who actually realized the circumstances they have been through and has a soft heart for her people and her nation. She clasped her hands with a smile, facing Kohaku with the same smile.
"It's okay, are you... Kayana Sahanaya Tirta? You're quite well-known, thank you for saving me earlier."
Kamila thanked him as the lecturer rubbed his nape in embarrassment. So, her subordinate told her about him. "It's nothing, someone like you are not used to being chased so it must be scary. Anyways, where do you want us to take you? Also, any clue who you think want to kill you?" he asked, as he's no much in a glory and being the center of attention, thus he always trying to keep low after becoming an adult. "One of the rebel groups in my country, I forgot what is it called--but I think it's called Danava Liberation Front? Yeah... that's what they called themselves," the latter answered as she turned her gaze from him, Kohaku hummed before he flipped his phone and read some text messages from Damien. 'I guess I have to bring her to the hotel next to my residence, but I need to ask if--'
"Kayana, can I stay with you just for a while? Until my nation solved this problem...?"
Wait, you'll stay with me? She has no choice, because she needs to avoid being exposed by the public and nobody will recognize her whenever she left her nation--even if she get a different clothing. 'Okay, so many rules that I have to cover just to not expose her, right?' he thought before he gulped. "Y-Yes... I don't have any problem with that," Kohaku answered awkwardly, she sighed in relief and her smile relaxed a little. "I know that you're very defensive and able to protect yourself but... I thought you're okay with living by yourself or something?" he asked, wondering why she want to stay with him instead of a hotel.
Unauthorized tale usage: if you spot this story on Amazon, report the violation.
Well, if you get assassination for your life on a daily basis, sure. Of course she won't go to a fucking hotel!
Kamila sighed, she seems a bit angry--did her life wasn't fun anymore when people kept bothering her every time and those royal duties drained her?
"I'm aware of that, but with the attempted assassination going on... my parents wanted me to be isolated until the situation is not in complete danger, then again what else can I do? This is how I am," she responded. What she described as isolation was more of 'cooped up in a limited spaces and still keeping her safe' such as in a hotel room or something, but not under so much surveillance.
'Wait, does she knew about Secret Garden or--nah. She'll know it later,' he thought, not too long after the car has stopped for a minute before he exited the car--taking her to his mansion and told his subordinate not to leave her alone for the time being. As soon as he opened the door for her, Kahayana turn around as he saw his son Kohaku and... THE CROWN PRINCESS HERE?! In his home?!
"K-KAYANA! Is this her? You brought a crown princess of--"
The Administrator of Secret Garden yelled when Kohaku entered his mansion together with the princess, causing him to place his index finger on his lips. "SSHHH! Not so loud! I'm shocked too!" the young lecturer replied, making his father nodded before he texted the 'SECRET GARDEN' group chat that has Kohaku and his friends in it--along Damien and the other Administrators. "Okay okay... sorry, it's been a while to see a high-ranking official in our home," he said in his mind, his gaze flicker to her as Kamila began talking. "May I come in, Mr. Tirta?"
The former nodded, closing the door behind him as the crown princess stepped inside and bowed to thank Kahayana for his hospitality while Kohaku closed the curtains for her. While her guard checked outside through the monitor installed in one of the surveillance device that attached on the house, she removed her hair accessories that were given by her mother--when she lived during her childhood to make it lighter for her, then a visor on her eyes as Kohaku noticed it. Kamila sighed after being relieved, now that the visor is taken off--her soft gaze of ruby red eyes softened and glanced at the young man in front of her. "Is there a guest room?"
"Yes, it's in the second floor to the right and next to my bedroom. It has it's own bathroom and small hallway inside it's quite spacious, by the way," Kohaku answered, although there's another empty room but he want to make sure that Kamila is comfortable enough. Then, he texted his friends and classmates about Kamila in the Secret Garden group chat.
Kohaku:
GUYS. Guys, guys. I have a crown princess of Sandyakala in the nation she came from. @Byakuya_Shinobu @Kyouka_Shinobu @Kiryu_Ryugūji @Sherry_Simalungun @Radjasa_Wangsadinata @Rayna_IRIS
(Image sent)
Byakuya: What the hell?!
Kyouka: HAH
Sherry: Goddamnit Kayana, it should've been me who stayed in your place.
Kiryu: You're not helping-nya @Sherry_Simalungun
Radjasa: HAIYAH IS THIS REAL LIFE OR JUST A FANTASY @Kayana_Sahanaya_Tirta
Rayna: So pretty...
Kohaku watched the replies in Secret Garden and OUTLAW group chat as he facepalmed, both are so goddamn hard. Even some of them are confused because they don't know where is Sandyakala, he was too fucking lazy to explain but he had no choice but to explain everything about the archipelago when there's a chance later in time. "Crap, this is awkward as fuck!" he stated, letting Kamila sat down as she felt relaxed--but still a little stressed about something. Perhaps due to the assassination attempts that forced her to stay here? She leaned on her fingers after she put away her royal headdress and gloves, looking at him with a soft gaze.
He have to discuss this with Damien and the others about her life, so Kohaku decided to buy her lunch before everyone else wake up and get busy with their tasks for today. Kohaku went to the kitchen as he and Kahayana began talking, if she's just here to study or not--and he clearly stated that Kamila mustn't have her privacy invaded, because she's a client. Kamila has listened on his words while having her shower, not to mention she seem almost stressed that her shoulders twitched and began rubbing her shoulder with a towel. She grabbed her suitcase to change into new clothes before she placed it in a closet carefully, removing her upper clothing as she sighed again.
Not to mention this nation is different, why are people so freaking caring? Did she and her nation haven't adjusted their ways a bit better for her to interact with people? At least to what she can do so far while she tried to handle everything even after she becomes aware of her responsibilities, her eyes drifted to the necklace that gave to her by her parents--consisting a crescent-shaped ruby for the piece with additional necklace that looked like a gem with similar color as her eyes before turning to Kohaku's clothes. "Do you think I'm troublesome? Probably I am, the nation got so worried on those rumors on their daughter being chased--that's how I got myself in this trouble," Kamila muttered to herself, holding her right wrist. "No... I should trust him, no matter what he is... a lecturer or not. Must of him is, the outside of him..."
The next morning... his friends ended up gathering in his home, witnessing Kamila's visor and such mysterious jewelry that they had never seen in their entire life. Kiryu almost jumped when the crown princess stood there to greet them, it was an amusing sight to see--perhaps Kamila as well. "Maharani Paramitha Kamila... you're quite different from what the TV says about you, with those outfit and how they described you like... the popular celebrity of your country," he said, his magenta-red eyes glancing around as she frowned. "Apparently, being a member of aristocrat family was considered part of that. I feel disturbed with that idea that I'm usually compared in some media, thus I tend to avoid such news."
Damien watched this closely when Kyouka stared at her, Hisato's daughter Ichika hugged Kamila happily as she was a fan of this woman and she hugged her back--due to her soft spot with kids. "Worry not, Your Highness. We'll ensure your hospitality and welfare as good as possible. Kayana just asked us to keep quiet with our work, but hey... who would be as stupid as an enemy?" Sherry added with a smirk, and Kamila laughed when Ichika demanded more hugs. Kohaku aimed his middle finger at Sherry with a stern glare, not wanting to expose her identity without her permission.
And then he have to explain things on their group chat after they went back, seriously they love being nosy most of the time. Kiryu was sleeping on Kamila's lap that made Kohaku want to whoop his ass, but he hold himself as Kamila patted his head softly. "Kayana, you didn't forget our 'date' did you?" Sherry asked, putting her arms around his shoulders that made him ticked off--before he grumbled. "Get your arms off me, woman! I swear I'm going to fight you and also--we're not dating."
"Aw come on, I thought we are good with our relationship. Aren't you a bit of--"
Radjasa cackled while using his red fan to fan himself, while Rayna also warming up to Kamila as Byakuya holding Kohaku's arm so does Kyouka with Sherry's arm. "You two are like cat and mouse, I'd have paid to see you go! Never had that happen but I wished it," Sherry said again, making Kohaku give her the middle finger and almost yelled 'I hope you'll fall off the mountain, you fucking bitch', Radjasa laughed with boisterous voice that caused him to kick the stool with his foot.
Few hours later...
Kamila was looking around in Sanur Beach where there's so many tourists are here, with Kohaku standing beside her like a bodyguard. The young woman glanced at him, as she seems interested in looking at the ocean--it's been so long since she visited a place with so many crowds. No one really pay attention to her, making her relieved yet there's somewhat tension in her--worrying if she exposed or not, but not without her trying to reduce her glamour. "My family is a dynasty of powerful warriors, they're descended from ancient kingdom of the Old World--we were connected to the Phantom Samsara where we always make prophecy from the eclipse," she explained her origins to him, while the latter picked up shells and corals the beach offered.
"And we were famous for our warfare, however because of the colonialism and also some internal war when my grandparents were born--we decided to become a peaceful state. Now, the title can't be stripped from my dynasty as the name said--regardless if someone married into our family, all of them will be keep their surnames. I'd rather be married to my own country, not men who only marry me for political purpose," the former add, with her voice are mixed with anger and disgust. Kohaku stared at her as he rubbed his temples, knowing how it feels to be hated for something--the monarchies are strict and full of old-fashioned.
Kohaku kneeled on one knee, picking up the black string as he make something with the small dented shells he did--that made Kamila pondered on what her 'bodyguard' doing with her gaze flicker from her fingers, then to the shells he's picking and some shells before he ended up giving a handmade bracelet with smile. Making the crown princess blushed, although they aren't a couple--Kohaku intend to make something as a gift for her. "T-Thanks..."
"My cousin taught me how to make these and I already make plenty of them for a while, nothing's wrong making one for you. Hopefully it can lift your mood a little," he stated, and she wrapped it around her right wrist with a chuckle. "Kayana, you're quite sweet for a lady but how about your parents?" she asked, and the scientist averted his gaze with a soft blush that he attempt to hide it. "Dad, eh... he's a fine government official that my family adored, mom--well, she's the most hardworking woman I ever known... but she passed away from her illness when I was so young."
Kamila was surprised when he mentioned his mom passed away, causing Kohaku sighed--a part of his memories that he didn't want to remember so much. "Oh dear... my condolences, that must be tough for you... huh?"
Then, she started to hug him and rub his back as he never ever gotten a hug like that after his mother passed away, remembering what had happened when his mom hugged him at the very last seconds of her life when he was only 7 years old. "I-It's okay, Kamila--wait no, let's stop this bodyguard and princess shit... you can call me Kayana," he asked and answered, coughing for a bit before Kamila nodded. "Alright, but... thank you for making me remembered the old times," she said, as she let him go.
Kamila still wanted to go to Tanah Lot, where it was a famous tourist site so she headed there--she never felt some kind of freedom in her life before. Seeing her happy after finishing her request is making him nostalgic, for some reason he began to having a longing bond for the crown princess--how her eyes glowing and almost shed tears of joy when she saw the beautiful view, and also her laughter. "So, your parents are warriors?" he asked, Kamila nodded.
"Right... my parents that are direct descendants of kings are usually getting a lot of assassination attempts, but our dynasty and a number of my ancestors that can be counted are excellent warrior while having their magic. I have a LOT of relatives, since I'm completely a blue blood before... even when not being called royalty like at an earlier age, I have good relation with all of them," she answered, crossing her arms and slightly tilt her head. Her reaction is making her quite interesting and she certainly hiding something, but Kohaku wouldn't miss a smallest detail he should paid attention to--since not judging someone book by it's cover. "By the way, Kayana... do you have a girlfriend?" she asked curiously.
Kohaku scoffed, folding his arms. "Pfft, me and my friends are completely single--we don't really date people right away as most of them are either not even worth the time or interested on dating the person in real life, just going on their comfort zone to feel love. But sometimes we have fun interacting with many people in our lives, good thing they prefer to remain as friends with us instead of fancies dating. Our bosses also single, and my dad doesn't plan on remarrying--he said something like 'Nope, my previous marriage is fine--like why the fuck should I consider second marriage?'" he answered, while Kamila chuckled at what his father said.
"How did your parents meet each other? If I'm not mistaken, the people of Sandyakala were well-known for their connection in Samsara but that was before and now they're considered full-fledged Indonesian aristocracy because of the assimilation. To add that, this will sound pretty painful to hear but... those people are one of a rare existence in old times that are allowed to intermarry with their relatives, albeit in limited amounts," the crown princess asked, making Kohaku gulped. "It all started in high school, my dad is a bad boy but he's smart and diligent in keeping his grades--that's how he met my mother. First, it's just them being friends but as days went by, the friendship evolved into love--they both fell in love with each other," he began with a smile, making the princess smiled back while listening to him. "My mother has been very ill from birth so... I can't blame her death."
As he have no intention on making things too long, Kamila decided not to ask further as the lecturer laughed it off. "It's fine, I'm used to have tough life--that goes the same for me. Sometimes being an aristocrat means I have to endure many things, even if it's painful for me...I just have to accept it," she said, as she stood up and patted her dress. 'There's something... more than special when I sense his presence and power, I don't know what to do with it now...'
Kamila thought, her gaze briefly on him as she noticed the young man has another personality--calculating, observant, a person of justice and loyal to his nation. The reason why she let herself stay with him.
Meanwhile, Byakuya watched everything unfolds as Kohaku went back with Kamila to them. As she got picked up by Damien's limousine with his men, he glanced Kohaku while walking beside him. "How was it?" he asked, Kohaku sighed. "Not gonna lie... she has something more than just a crown princess, though she doesn't seem to know I'm in Secret Garden--at least with us but... I may get some trouble after she solve this, you know..." he responded, while the others decided to follow the two. "Hehe, she seems comfortable with you! Look at Sherry, she looked so envious-nya!" Kiryu teased, while Rayna shrieked to see Sherry having a terrible mood and Radjasa cackled by her behavior. "Whaaat? I am nooot! Pftt, Kamila is so different from her public demeanor when people described her on the media," Sherry denied, giggling as Kyouka snickered. "Here we go again!"
Kohaku was smirking in hidden, because he finally beat Sherry's ass in the next time. Kahayana shake his head at his son and his friends, these kids seriously... well, except him. Kahayana felt quite relieved seeing everything went well.
But, there's something mysterious about Kamila that made Damien want to investigate--like what is she doing here in Indonesia? Especially in Bali? He prayed that she didn't bring anything suspicious unless if it's necessary.
Besides, she seems... hiding something more than her kind-hearted self.
Kohaku was still curious about Kamila's origins, not only she's mysterious as hell--but the princess isn't much of talkative or open to be interrogated, she seems almost calculating on her judgement and her past. Like, why is she here? If she's doing her nation's duty like performing diplomatic relations and agreements, things for national security, making important decisions about her nation and etc. Wouldn't she be staying in Sandyakala that's being supported by the Republic of Indonesia, World Government, Singgahsana Organization and UN because they still need help for handling this so-called 'culture' regarding royalty--barely a monarchy? Of course that shit wouldn't be easy, still waiting for the unification yet?
By the way, where's his other two friends of OUTLAW? Where's Nadya and Kyoran? They've been out of sight lately and last time he heard that they went to certain island nation to investigate something under Damien and Indonesian shadow government's order. He keep texting them, no answers--that's the first red flag when his friends might be unable to communicate and the others are all there, they both know his limits, the leader of OUTLAW hoped nothing bad happen to them. Damien better make them come back, dammit!
Kohaku watched Kamila was talking with the Indonesian embassy regarding the diplomatic relations and etc, technically she and her people still considered Indonesian despite their origins from Sandyakala--which is more of ancient Indonesia along with Brunei, Malaysia and Singapore during prehistoric times. It's complicated for him to learn such a detailed stuff, but it makes him a bit motivated to know how is it like before living in the modern world. "Oh right, who is he?" the staff asked, Kamila glanced at Kohaku as she smiled at him. "Him? He's my bodyguard for the time being, an escort--"
Kohaku went pale when he heard the word. "W-Wait, wh-whaaat?! I thought I was following your trail as the secretary--"
"No no no, the escort is better for you," the crown princess said with a smile, making him fell silent as she realized he was misunderstanding her. He scratched his hair while giving out an awkward laugh to apologize, feeling a bit embarrassed with himself. The other staff was stunned by his appearance when he fixed his hair that became a bit messy, they seems interested in his features that brought a bit 'rebellious' yet exotic look--cute when he look to the side a little that looks like him being shy. "This is going to be a long fucking day," he muttered, because they had to leave to Sandyakala next week and yet he and Damien (along everyone) grew worried of Nadya and Kyoran's disappearance--these Indonesian and Japanese-American has been MIA ever since the arrival of crown princess.
So, he wanted to investigate that as well when they have arrived in the island nation.
With the luggages are prepared in the airport, Kohaku watched his friends already prepared in the gate--since they used a private jet which owned by Secret Garden or they just wanted to fly so people won't crowd them. It felt bizarre, traveling so far from Bali to Bandar Seri Maharani, Arunika city, Sandyakala. Why is this random island nation feels almost special?
"Alright, let's go."
