Chapter XXXI: Thread of Fate

*ೃ༄

Kohaku headed to the forested area with stoned path, bamboo trees, mangroves and rivers of the waterfall--he wanted to meditate to relax his mind after working on his clients' request and assignments all day at a time. He took a deep breath in the nature-serene smell, somehow this place is really helping him meditating and to release all stresses. "Finally... a relaxing ambience."

Nature is a place of solitude, peace and tranquility.

He look around for a waterfall that located deep into the woods, an isolated yet quiet place he could sit on while meditating. The scenery was beautiful, surrounded by tall trees, various birds, plants, mosses and trees—everyone could just forget about reality and escape to another world for a while. It's almost like entering another dimension that exist within their consciousness that you couldn't reach easily until you're already there. Kohaku found the flat stone in the middle of the waterfall pool, it's pretty clear when he washed the dirt off from his body after a hard work for a day. All of the people said that this is like heaven and outworldly, like nothing he'd experienced before.

Kohaku sat down on the flat rock in crisscrossed form, it was quite humid but he didn't care about that because it's better that way. Besides, it's ten in the morning. No one would swim there since there's a small danger warning for this particular waterfalls but except few weird people like Kohaku. There's fresh-cold wind flowing through his slender body, as he takes a deep breath in a peaceful environment--enjoying the gentle breeze on his face as he closes his eyes and began his meditation. Kohaku was meditating in the waterfall, concentrating his inner Tiryag power within him as he kept his focus with his eyes closed. It's been two weeks since they have been staying in Hyang Seram Island, so he wanted to relax and train his power so he can be stronger.

On the other side, Byakuya was walking down the path of the forest with mangroves and bamboo trees--watching the view from above of the forest, though he find this nature is pretty wild to explore on his own. One thing that puzzled him, how did Hyang Seram Island has those sort of resources they were obtaining like beaches and rainforests because the rest of the islands are covered in greeneries and plantations and it still remain normal until now. With the recent discoveries on the black dusts around these environments and suspicious behaviors of the local guards--somehow, his asthma did not often acting up now ever since they arrived in Hyang Seram Island, but he always has medication with him.

"Byakuya, it's been a while!"

Shania greeted him as she stood beside Andrew, the two Indonesians who were Kohaku's friends are here? Byakuya turn around with a surprised expression on his stoic face--but he kept his composure. He recalled about Kohaku still having issues with Shania and not Andrew, but he don't know what issues so he choose to keep that information away for a moment until something happened. "Shania, what a surprise for seeing you in here. And, your friend is here," he spoke, despite his stone face he managed to sound a bit monotonous. "Are you on a trip like your boss or having assignments? I didn't expect to see you here."

Like the assassin contract goes, Byakuya must put up a different motive and persona; it's nothing more than a performance on their behalf, whatever lies they have to tell doesn't matter, you are in on the ruse if you act accordingly without hesitation. Not letting other suspect what you're doing here for being an assassin and you act nonchalantly as always--which happens to be Byakuya's favorite because he rarely spoke much words at the clients. "What do you mean? I had a vacation of course," he stated with a perfect lie, revealing nothing that might expose his secret life--he even hides it well without his knowledge, making others thinks that there's something wrong with him.

"But you seemed have fun, you smile brighter. What happened to your usual stoic façade?" Andrew teased, with a wide grin. Byakuya narrowed his eyes, folding his arms. "Am I allowed to smile for once or not?"

"Excuses, excuses. Whatever. At least you finally smiled!"

Seeing Byakuya smiling is like, 5% out of 100% chance happening and none of them could not get used to that! But now, he's not smiling--completely NOT that he's emotionless as usual, he don't smile at anyone sometimes unless some occasion happened or the one he cares the most. Shania tilted her head, she wondered whether she did see him or not. "Did you see Kayana?" she asked, now she's asking about Kohaku--he folded his arms. "Kohaku? Don't know, perhaps he's coming or not," he replied, thinking that they came to visit him--turns out it was more than just a coincidence. "Seriously? I haven't seen him at all and I feel worried. Because that man could be anywhere without me knowing, even though he informed me that he's in here."

Yeah... did Kohaku told them that he didn't like being dotted on because he found that annoying as shit? Byakuya stared at her, waiting for a change of atmosphere because his stone face was not welcomed by anybody in fact--sometimes he wished he would say his emotions for once when the situation goes haywire. "Shania, maybe you can wait in the hotel so I can tell him that you guys are here," he suggested, but she shook her head with a frown. "No way, I can't just leave and wait. That's how I used to be, do you think that I won't change anytime?" she hissed, it seems even Andrew has doubts on that.

Oh boy, ladies and gentlemen... we got a very fussy cat.

Byakuya kept his arms folded, somewhat flinched by her answer before he felt his asthma relapsed because of the discomfort between them--he was about to take out his inhaler to ease his airways until she snatched his inhaler. "Let go."

"Are you some kind of idiot or what? Don't rush into my moment! Just tell me what you know--like, where is he?" Shania angrily yelled, Andrew tried to stop her but she glared at him--threatening him not to meddle in her business. "Shania, don't! He has an asthma, don't you see?!" he tried to calm her down but she turned her head away with furrowed eyebrows and tensed shoulders. "... Shania, you just make it worse. Take a deep breath, because I don't like you having a tantrum in the public area."

Byakuya's airways becoming narrow as he gasped for air, his asthma was getting worse. "Give... that back," he said through a wheeze, but Shana scowled at him. "I'm not giving it back, unless you answered my question! I won't give this back unless you answered me," she shouted, it's obvious her anger has made her forget the current situation she is in. Seriously, did she realize that his asthmatic symptoms becoming worse? He absolutely had NO idea where is Kohaku. "I don't know... where is he... now give it back," he said truthfully.

"Nope, sadly you can't."

Shania answered that made Byakuya having a blank expression, not moving a muscle as he kneeled on the ground--feeling dizzy. 'This woman... should learn her limits', he thought inwardly, realizing that she makes him become a hostage like this and made his condition worse and yet, ignoring it. When she was about to toss the inhaler away from them, her eyes widened to see Kohaku is here and snatched the inhaler away from her--pushing them away and kneeled in front of his best friend. "Here..." Kohaku said with a frown, handing the inhaler to him as Byakuya accepted the medication. "What the fuck, Shania? Can you at least be considerate?" he snapped at her.

Byakuya began to inhale the medication, and after he did, he felt his asthma was slowly recover but thankfully it wasn't harmful or he might as hell lose the last of his patience with her. "Damn it, you really put us in a very rough situation, Shania!" Andrew scolded his friend for her reckless actions before he glanced towards his friend who was supporting him with an arm on his shoulders. Shania frowned and walked away angrily, thinking her presence isn't really needed and certainly not welcome. "Sorry about that, Kayana... I don't know why she was acting like this all day," Andrew apologized to the assassin, whose expression had softened slightly when he found her dramatic behavior was slightly annoying.

"It's fine--"

Kohaku answered, rubbing circles on Byakuya's back to comfort him when he witnessed the unpleasant scene because Shania's outbursts was really a total jerk. He can never understand why did that girl became so distant for a very long time, yet he could read signs and this one definitely tells him that Shania is suffering from her problems. "Look, I get it that she's upset--but she doesn't have to force Byakuya to speak by snatching his inhaler and has this very childish outbursts," he ended his conversation, glaring at the female Indonesian for behaving immaturely.

Andrew sighed, scratching behind his head. "Let me talk to her, don't mind," he assured them, before he left Byakuya and Kohaku sitting on the rocks, waiting for them to come back. "You're okay? Sorry about that..." Kohaku apologized, seeing his best friend inhaled his medication again as he slowly took it as his vision returned to normal, Byakuya nodded to his words. "Yeah... and don't say sorry, you have nothing to be sorry about," the latter said in a harsh tone--which changed into a more calm one. "Can you tell me what dispute you had with Shania?" he asked, coughing a little from the asthmatic episode he had.

"After this," the Indonesian assassin simply replied. When Byakuya nodded in understanding and relaxed his body, Kohaku helped him getting up from the ground without rushing him--letting him taking a deep breath, he have some oxygen saturation problem due to his asthma. "It all started when Sherry kind of forced for another 'fake date' just for fun, even though I refused like many times--she still insisted. But, that's not the issue since we're friends," Kohaku explained, walking down the bridge with mangroves with him. "Then, Shania and Andrew are there... basically she always bringing up old problems and old grudges, and would normally say nothing of consequence. Forget about her tantrums, she tends to forget the real issue and you have to remind her like many times because she is immature."

Byakuya hummed in confusion, not understanding what Kohaku meant about that. "For example, today she keeps asking about my reason of coming in here while I just want some time alone. Her logic is weak and she made it personal," he continued, placing a palm over his head in frustration as he sighed heavily. "Though the main issue, is because she hates me for something and blames me for what happened during the mission and even badmouthing me for my deeds. Like, I just wanted to repay her because she used to protect me during my high school years, I was weak against the bullies that time--she was stronger than me back then. Now that I became an assassin, improving defense skills and exercising my body, I wanted to let her and my friends know that I can protect myself... I may have weakness, but that doesn't mean I'll submit to them!"

"So, she doesn't like you becoming stronger?" Byakuya concluded, pausing as he carefully observed his surroundings. He didn't like gossiping of people's personal business, and he tend to dislike listening to other people's problems because it irritated him for so long. But... he has feeling towards his best friend, and he will allow this because this is involving Kohaku, his best friend. "Well... yeah, but it's more than that..."

"Let me rephrase the question, did she hates you because you're no longer a defenseless person or she finds it not necessary to protect you anymore?"

Kohaku began to think about Byakuya's reason, analyzing every reason and possible answers to that inquiry. That's not wrong, Shania was often overprotective and a tad bit too invasive on his space and would usually go into his problems, seeing Kohaku's perspective as someone who needs to be looked after. But then again, Byakuya makes a valid point--perhaps she's not as happy as he thought she'd be after seeing him becoming strong. This is certainly make a thing in his mind, right? "Yeah, she also didn't like me being around girls like... huh? Remembering what happened with Sherry during the fake date, Shania looked like she's not in the best mood--trying to not speak with me after the conversation ended. It's just it, I had no idea the reason."

Byakuya facepalmed, feeling headassery over Shania's choices. "Kohaku, did it just crossed your mind that, she possibly hates you dating with other women than her?" he bluntly asked, staring at the latter intensely. "Fucking bitch, I'm not dating with anyone else!" Kohaku admitted, folding his arms and not wanting to listen to more of that babbles from the stoic assassin. "No... it's not like that, she has trust issues with the girls around me," he added, although he could have fooled himself saying that. "Even though I told her many times that I don't have a thing with them... she still doesn't believe in me."

That's a clear warning signal, that woman literally have an infatuation towards him--isn't it obvious?

The male assassin seemed to be very careful in his answer, Byakuya sighed as he rubbed his chin--thinking for the solution. Then, a solution came in mind as he look back at him. "Kohaku, it's time for you to move on from her. It's best if you just avoiding her instead of picking a fight because she really has a lot of anger issues, what she has been doing with you for over past few days, months or... whatever, what did she do to you recently?" Byakuya asked.

Kohaku couldn't hold it back anymore, so he take out his phone and swiped the screen--he tapped on the application and showed the chat messages from Shania that he has been getting. He handed his phone to him, so Byakuya can check on the messages.

Shania : Hey Kayana, let's go in our lunch together!

Kohaku : Actually... I'm having a lunch with a classmate, so you go with Andrew.

Shania : Please?

Kohaku : Sorry, can't do. I'll tell you again tomorrow.

Shania : C'mon! What classmate are you having lunch with, Kayana?

Kohaku : Huh? It's Alex, why?

Shania : I only saw you twice with them! Don't spend too much time with them.

Kohaku : I don't see why you're overreacting about that.

You might be reading a stolen copy. Visit Royal Road for the authentic version.

Byakuya swiped up the old chat messages from beginning until now, adjusting his frameless glasses as he was speechless at her antics. This is clearly escalating quickly, it's unlike Kohaku to ever lash back at anyone like that.

Shania : Kayana! I'm giving you a call, pick it up.

Kohaku : On a work, give it half hour.

Shania : No, give it right now!

Kohaku : I can't, I'm on a freaking work!

Yup, this is getting even more intense. No wonder Kohaku is frustrated with her, it's becoming ridiculous. Byakuya stopped reading because he has known enough about it, handing the phone back to his best friend. "Okay, point is--this is way too out of context. You aren't obligated to tell her everything about you, you're your own person, too. You're allowed to make your own choices, hang out with whoever you want to. Frankly, the disrespectful way how she has handled it is pretty over the line--you said that you're angry with her behavior? Can't agree more, even I would rage over her attitude too," Byakuya implied, frowning as he sighed.

"You're literally the only one that not giving a shit on her antics, Kohaku... but this is very offensive for your privacy," the assassin implied, rubbing his forehead and decided to stop his interrogation from an overdramatic topic. "I get it, don't need to know more. Anyways, where are we going to meet with Andrew and Shania now?" he asked him, walking ahead first but he stopped walking when Kohaku shook his head at him. "Byakuya, no. We're not going to meet them, because--" Kohaku paused his sentence, stopping Byakuya from walking. "... I'm not in the mood, I don't want it."

Kohaku was clearly upset, Byakuya stayed silent as he stared at his back. He wasn't his right to dictate who he should be socializing with and how, and his right to not hang around with Shania. "It's pointless, Byakuya. Like, when she will change? We had an argument and I had to apologize because she doesn't even say sorry about that shitty argument," he stated, making his best friend understand where his problem is. "Look, it's unfair that I'm the only one who apologize and she doesn't even seem to regret it. I did appreciate her efforts to look out for me, but only at a time. You know..."

"At a time like I have been through, I never wanted to be around them anymore. Because... you know, I got a job like you, it's very rough, complicated and requires discipline--which she doesn't have that," Kohaku groaned, massaging his forehead and temple to ease the pounding headache he's having after explaining these complicated issues and the confrontation with her. "I was trying to move on, you know... I feel bad for Andrew that he had to deal with her, after our friends' death..."

Byakuya hold his shoulder to calm him down, in case he might vent to others instead of himself. "All the shit I had to go through in high school, she blamed me for something I'm not entirely sure if it's even my fault in the first place--then she blames me for treating her like nothing, yet, I always put up a smile on her face just to show her that I'm still happy. Perhaps... people never really change, when they met someone better..." Kohaku trailed off.

"Kohaku, I feel that too... whenever I saw their eyes and thinking about the ones I lost. But you also have your friends too, you have me, Sherry, Kyouka and the others. It will keep you grounded and safe, no matter what we are struggling with right now, remember?" he concluded, which Kohaku's posture relaxing. He smiled, remembering how they met and became close to each other since that day, they never regretted taking that path even though it hurts both of them.

Until, they heard a wheezing sound--it was Kyouka.

Kyouka was wheezing as she tried to reach for her inhaler on the ground due to her asthma attack--but stopped by Shania with her foot on her medication, making her shocked at her advances. "If you ever dare goes nearing Kayana, I won't let you live!" Shania snapped, she was about to kick it away until Kohaku yelled. "STOP THAT!" he goes to grabbed her wrists and pulled her from there, before Byakuya grabbed the inhaler and put his arm around his younger sister's shoulders. "Nii-sama..." she uttered at Byakuya, before she was relieved when he put the inhaler on her mouth--letting her breathe normally again with normal amounts of oxygen.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING? WHAT THE FUCK SHANIA, THINK BEFORE YOU ACT?! DON'T YOU REALIZE WHAT YOU'RE DOING?!"

Kohaku angrily snapped, standing between Kyouka and Shania, shielding the latter. "First is Byakuya, now's my friend--WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU?!" he shouted, glaring heatedly at her. Shania clenched her jaw, completely not expecting what just happened and looking down.

She knew she fucked up.

Kyouka coughed a little after she regained her breathing, before she growled. "Shania, I told you already--I have nothing to do with this issue, I wasn't even meddling at your fucking shit. Do you see me sneaking behind you just to say he's mine? No, I didn't," she stated, letting Byakuya helped her getting up from the ground. Now her older brother is fucking mad, before Byakuya scowled at Kohaku's friend. "Listen here, Shania... I don't know what is your problem with him--but if you dare... laying your hands on my little sister again, our next confrontation won't be pretty... because I won't overlook on that," he stated coldly, standing between Kohaku and Shania, while Kyouka stood behind him--completely defensive.

"That's it, Shania... it's over."

Kohaku finalizes their friendships between him and Shania, no matter she was important to him he was absolutely done with this overprotective crap she was putting him and her friend through. He can't trust her even more than just being his best friend, it will only bring many conflicts and that's over. Shania was widened her eyes at the final decision made, realizing the results for her--paled her skin as she felt her heartbeats thumped violently, watching his back walked away with Byakuya and Kyouka.

Kyouka grunted as she had to inhale another dose due to her asthma became severe, Byakuya placed the inhaler in her mouth again, before she began to take deep breath and start breathing normally. The coughs subsiding as Kyouka regained her normal breathing, her asthma is very sensitive, hence why Byakuya decided to care for his sister since he has few spare medications because of the travel time. However, she can't help but felt annoyed at Shania for her poor choice to act rashly when she realized it might hit the wrong target. "Sorry, Kyouka... my friend is--"

"It's fine, Kohaku... she definitely won't lose control in her actions like that anytime soon," Kyouka said as she exhales, she's confident that she wouldn't do that again. Byakuya shook his head, because it's his 'motherly instincts'--he can't put Kyouka in the danger way. "No, she's right. I'm not letting anyone touching you, my little sister... are we clear?" he responded, having her nodding with a grimace on her pale face as she groaned. "Nii-sama... I'm not a kid!" the purplish-black haired assassin whined like a stubborn child, but failed as she huffed. "Okay, nevermind... you still overprotective."

When she and Byakuya finished their conservation, Kohaku began to explain her behavior to them.

It seems Shania really couldn't let go of a past life, only seeing the most beautiful moments in his former friend instead of focusing on the present, where Kohaku is now far from the helpless student at his youth, where she protected him back then. Still, now that he's strong he doesn't require her to protect him. "I see... I met that type of people like her, it's annoying as shit. Right, Nii-sama?" Kyouka asked to her older brother, with a sweet smirk on her face while he continued to treat her calmly. "Yes, it is. It's your life and you don't need to live a lie and telling you that what you do is wrong, especially thinking with your body. People don't have to question your partnering, simply because it's your body and you would rather play it safe than sorry, it is reasonable for you to want to seek physical comfort from someone you trust."

Kohaku had to deal with her bullshit because she even texted his father Kahayana about his issues and the arguments they had with each other, which Kahayana replied to her messages: "Excuse me, can you like explain more about this? Did my son... doing something bad?" and he absolutely doesn't know that Shania faked that message. "I can't believe it, she's really going too far and started spying on me whenever I'm happy with my friends or even a new group of friends I talked with?" he groaned, thinking she acted jealous and immature.

"Well, I suppose the feeling has become too much for her to hold onto. You don't choose who your heart wants, it just... happens," Byakuya shrugged, just letting him decide and moving on from his friendship. "Wait, what if she goes to our superior Damien?" Kyouka asked, well that's fucked up.

Radjasa was informed on the group chat along Rayna and Kiryu, regarding Shania and they had to avoid her if she came running towards them, asking them for help. Because Radjasa was even enraged as hell to hear what she's capable of doing. "As much as I have sympathy for her... she crossed the line when she got you involved, Kayana," Radjasa spoke, telling the whole story. "How did she manage to become like this in the first place? Seriously, fuck that shit, I can't be sane if she's bugging me," Kyouka admitted, seeing Rayna was getting defensive for them because of what happened.

Damien was talking with Kohaku's father in the park, until Shania came towards them. "Sirs, I have some concerning matter regarding one of your assassins--"

"That person is Kayana Sahanaya Tirta, right? I am aware of that. He's not available at a time, please leave," Damien interrupted her mid-sentence, as he have enough of her bullshit already and he hate that too. Shania gaped, seriously she became annoyed because Kohaku's boss is blocking her way. "Sir, I must speak with him! He's not sane, he's causing chaos for us for our vacation and I have seen him in a full asshole!" she cursed, it's obvious in her angry tone and desperate request for help. Andrew facepalmed, that's it--he decided to leave her for a minute and stay outside.

Kahayana was there, he couldn't believe Shania keep asking about his son and Kohaku already told him about it. "Shania, right? Why are you prying into my son's business?" Damien heard Kohaku's father asked her, with a skeptical and curious look on his face, but she had her best lie covering her mouth so he couldn't make out what she's saying. "Why did you keep complaining on him? Look... just because you don't approve of what your best friend does, doesn't give you the right to keep obsessing over him. It is not a crime for him to want to have something, you are just hurting him!" he pointed out, disappointed over Shania's egocentric attitude.

"But sirs, he needs to be stopped! Whatever you call it, it's called obsession and emotional manipulation--"

This is... seriously ridiculous. Not to mention, even Damien was infuriated by her sense of justice and was annoyed with her accusations. The woman thought she'll be forgiven anytime soon for her mistake but she was a fool for her poor choice, before Damien turn around and began to walk towards her. His ruby red eyes under his sunglasses shimmered in madness--but not just any kind of madness. "We're having a problem here? Because, just what the hell do you see in him? Are you having problems for Kayana? We all know you and Andrew are safe, but... do you know what is privacy?"

Shania shuddered when he raised his voice at her, his aura changing... it's like a killing intent towards anyone who challenge his pride and respect. Before long, she couldn't take it anymore. "Leave," he commanded her, standing firmly in the park. "But..." the female Indonesian about to leave her sentence until she felt her heart beating violently in her ribcage as she began to trembled in fear. He let his cold glare show, sending off chills down to her spine.

On the other side, Andrew was chilling in the café when he saw Shania ran away in fear--making him snorted. "Told you, it won't work. You should go somewhere else."

After awhile, it was noon. The stars shining across the sea with Indonesian islands, lights was glittered as it bathed in golden sparkles over the surface, making the view peaceful and serene as it has changed the whole island for a complete calm. Even though the air feels quite humid, it wasn't anything that could be disturbing. "So, Shania left with Andrew huh..." Kohaku muttered, checking his chat messages and somewhat relieved that Shania didn't contact him anymore, he almost thought she'll text him again. "Don't think about her, we are still here and would hang out with you," Byakuya added, before he ordered two slices of cake for himself and his sister.

Kohaku shrugged his shoulders and sighed, sipping on his drink slowly. "Well, if she didn't contact you I think it will lessen your problems. Shania was just concerned about you being paranoid for things you didn't do, like she was overprotecting you. Her worrying is pretty excessive though," he explained, making him wondering what brought his relationship with Shania going south, eventually leading to this situation. "I decided to move on, I'm pretty happy now when my friends are here. In fact, my father... has been asking me, did you get a job yet? And I said this: 'I did, I became a lecturer.'."

Byakuya chuckled hearing his explanation, his best friend hasn't changed at all. "Hey guys, do you want to try this-nya?" Kiryu asked, showing a somewhat 'unidentified' sea creature that made them backing away a bit. What... is that? "Shit bro, that's a jellyfish," Kyouka answered, being skeptical of 'that thing' Kiryu just hold. "At least you tell us what that is... nya. We don't know how's that looks," the youth grumbled and toss it back, finding it not quite healthy. "How the fuck you can hold that jellyfish casually? You could've stung yourself," he snapped, it doesn't seem it won't harm his hand, but...

Radjasa yelled when Kiryu placed the jellyfish on their table--she began to panicked. "No! Get it off this table!"

And like usual, they were startled over the outburst and see Rayna was disgusted at it. "It's still alive, Kiryu..." she said, seeing the jellyfish's limbs still moving, barely. Kiryu blinked his eyes slowly before he felt sorry for that. "Oops, gomen. I didn't mean that--it will do some stuff and..." he froze when the jellyfish showed an electrical force around its body, they backed away--fucking shit, IT BEGAN TO EXPAND HORRIBLY. "NOOOO!" Radjasa shouted, freaking out at the weird scenario. "JUST GET IT OUT OF THIS TABLE, KIRYU!" Kyouka angrily yelled, not wanted to get electrocuted because of his mischief, which he flinched upon seeing that.

Until, the jellyfish got slain by Sherry's katana-like weapon as she sighed--watching the jellyfish dead on the spot. "Seriously, I never seen this sea creature bigger than... is this how it works?" she commented, poking it with her weapon. Until, they saw a giant octopus popping out from the beach--making the people in the beach screamed by the sudden intrusion. "Holy shit... we have a bigger problem on our hands--that shit will terrorizing the tourists!" Kiryu pointed out on the octopus, seeing Kohaku also took his chain bullwhip and Kyouka taking out her katana.

"Let me handle this."

Radjasa said with a smile, toying with the red threads he manipulated to form spears to assault the octopus in quick strikes. He always relies on using threads, by restraining and tightening the string around his targets and inflict injuries or completely asphyxiate and strangle the victims on the spot without mercy. He swung his fingers as the threads manifested around the octopus, trapping it tightly to restrained its limbs and its head as it shrieked from the pain--Radjasa calmly smiled without any remorse, and soon it suffocated in pieces. "Tell Damien and the others that we had a 'dinner'."

The crowds were amazed by him because of his killing method, however he ignored the attention and left.

Everyone was awed, very speechless as he walked in silence--before the assassins somewhat had their stomachs growled. "Wow Radjasa, you're so badass... we must impress him with a meal," Kohaku praised him, impressed that he used only threads to killed the huge animal by shredding it into pieces. "This looks like a Kraken, how do we slice them? But, first... hmm..." Sherry murmured, the katana clearly won't cut it well and have to slicing this thing without unnecessary consequences. A few tries and they were able to serve large quantities of the caught material, even Radjasa helped preparing the sea creatures.

Damien was shocked by the gigantic sea creatures they caught when they came back with full of a lot of 'sea stuff'. They almost ate everything on the beach, watching the crowd come back. Damien came to see what happened and was trying to convince them, or at least the assassins--that eating the fucking grilled giant octopus is NOT a good idea. Wait, did Kohaku used his fire powers to grill the food? "Dude, come on. It will not kill you," Sherry tried to persuade him to eat, before the former narrowed his eyes. "Didn't you see, Kayana is grilling it with his damn powers!"

"It's not bad, Damien," Hisato stated, watching the giant octopus already roasted because of Kohaku and no other burn other part of its body other than the roasted areas, so they may eat it safely. Eventually, he let it slide as long as they don't burn the whole beach. "Fine, serve the food like a Michelin starred chef. Don't blame me if you have health problems..." he commented, receiving a thumbs up from Sherry. Soon, they feasted in peace because no other monsters came to trouble them.

These might be the last days before their departure tomorrow, the sun was started to set and making the water was much prettier and was reflecting from the bright sunlight across the water.
