Kohaku and his best friend Byakuya was sent to investigate the city hall, while it was still unoccupied during the morning hours. They went through the building’s lobby, noticing a few corpses laying there while Radjasa, Rayna, Sherry and Kiryu headed to the other side with Nadya and Kyoran in the other building. Some of them were lying in a pool of blood, since the rest of them were shot to death. “Urgh... I may have never liked democracy, but there is no excuse for this disaster..." Kohaku grumbled, pinching his nose in disgust before they found a couple of bodies near the reception. He just didn't like smelling the dead bodies, it's making him feel nauseous (even though he had done a lot of assassination jobs).
Byakuya grimaced as he took a deep breath, he couldn't believe what he's seeing for his entire life and making him sick to his stomach--the dark world of assassins and shadows of the higher ups, that he is part of this kind of organization. "Still, this is weird... who the hell did this mess?" he asked. "Yeah, I mean... it's a massacre, the traitor seems to be armed with guns or something. Besides, it looks like the killer is quite experienced, aside from the corpses like them..."
He picked up an empty shell nearby, and placing it inside his sleeve for their leader to find some clues. "With that many bullet wounds, there is no way the killer was a mere amateur, unlike most of their enemies. Obviously not Takashi and Kizuna's yakuzas, because why would they attack the city hall? The only lead is the 'Black Cat' because this criminal mastermind is an Indonesian," he explained. Byakuya agreed with his conclusion, before he looked around-the front door, the corridor, the emergency stairs, the security checkpoint, the office room, and the other office room--but he didn't find any clues just yet. "Yeah... wait, what's this?"
Kohaku noticed something on the ground, he crouched down and picked up an object from the floor and examining it carefully. "It's a hard shell case, and inside it there's a gun-like device, possibly a rifle's," he explained. "I noticed a little amount of residue, maybe they used a silencer since nobody heard anything like a firefight. No witnesses or survivors..." he added with a sigh, he and Byakuya will need to consider their best options since they're tasked by their leader. "Wait, there's more than that..." the purplish-black haired man crouched next to him, he helped to open the suitcase that revealed documents and letters, as well as someone's important photos.
Kohaku continued his investigation, checking every corner of the lobby and the surrounding areas. He saw a few empty shells and cartridges scattered on the ground, and a black box with several wires on it. He walked towards the boxes and wires, examining them closely. "What the heck is this?" he muttered, then one of his colleagues noticed it. "Let's fix this and see what's inside," Kohaku replied, before he start to fix the device.
Byakuya didn't ask him what he's doing, he just watched him with curiosity. "Are you really trying to dismantle it, Kohaku?"
"Not gonna dismantle, just trying to disarm it from the system," Kohaku answered, he opened the 'covering' and exposed several cables and other components, before he saw a thin board with several holes on it. There were four wires on each hole, it was a set of four different wires on it. It seemed impossible to determine which wire goes where. "Wait... the fuck..." he mumbled as he examine each part and checking it thoroughly. There were several black metal pieces on a stand, it was like a bunch of springs under a control panel-type mechanism. One was turned 180 degrees while another was turned 90 degrees in the opposite direction.
Then, they fucking realized it was a time-ticking bomb (and Kohaku didn't notice that until now)... a bomb timer.
"Fuck! It's a bomb!"
Byakuya yelled, but Kohaku interrupted him. "I'll handle this, I know how to defuse a bomb. Hisato taught me about this, please step aside," Kohaku explained, before he examine the bomb closely--it's not a simple bomb, there's a timer with numbers on it and he narrowed his eyes. "I'm going to detonate it in exactly 2 minutes and 55 seconds, can you keep watch?"
"Wait, what? You're going to set it off in 2 minutes?!"
Byakuya asked him in disbelief, seeing Kohaku nodded. "Believe in me, Byakuya. In the end, you are always going to get the same result," he snapped back, focusing on the wires. "If it's anyone else other than you guys, I wouldn't give them 2 minutes. You're my best friend, so it's 2 minutes and 55 seconds."
"Fine, but if you die... I'm not going to revive you, after all," he snarked, making the male glared at him. "The bomb..." he growled, his voice was a warning and clearly angry while Byakuya tensed up. "If anything goes wrong, I'm going to be blown up along with you… you know, I'm literally here with you and all."
The countdown started, making the latter had to stay calm in this tight situation. He watched Kohaku carefully and patiently, he's not sure if he can defuse it. He can't believe his best friend was going to set off the bomb, but he know that Hisato taught him how to do it so he was more worried about him right now.
Kohaku remained calm when he saw several wires and he keep his focus, he remembered what Hisato taught him about wires on the time bomb and this is what he told him: "In order to defuse a time bomb carefully, find the correct wire among several of them. Cutting the wrong one will trigger it, the timer isn't as short as you'd think it's like those movies. First, cut the red wires, don't cut the yellow ones though. Second, cut the blue wires but be careful... and lastly, the third one is the green ones. In the end, you'll get an easy and safe solution."
He recalled that, before he nodded. "Got it, this is a small-sized bomb so it should be easy to handle. We have to cut three red wires," Kohaku muttered, after he cut each of the wires that he remembered about the situation in his mind. He pulled out his pair of scissors that has a very fine blade on it.
It was hard and he was having a hard time to cut the wires, he didn't realize there was only a minute left. Until, he found the wires that Hisato referred earlier. Once he cut the wires and disarmed the bomb, it made a ping sound, signifying it was a success. Kohaku placed the bomb on the ground and stepped back with his hands up, panting before his best friend Byakuya noticed the bomb was no longer active. "Dude, are you serious? How did you defuse the bomb?"
Byakuya asked him, not even blinking nor moving an inch--he was too shocked and afraid that his best friend is going to set off the bomb. "Well... you know Hisato has experience with bombs and stuff," Kohaku replied, before he look up to see his best friend. "Let's put this in some kind of container or a safe, we need to handle this immediately."
"Wait, let me inform Hisato about the bomb first. Damn, this is bad... how did you defuse the bomb in 2 minutes 55 seconds? This is not possible..." Byakuya inquired, before he shook his head, putting his phone close to his ear.
They decided to investigate the city hall, they wanted to look for anything that was related to the massacre. They checked the other offices, and there was nothing but files, reports and other documents related to the city hall. Kohaku check every room, every hallway, and the whole building--there was nothing related to the mafia operation, and they have to find something related to him so they can gather some clues. Both of them heard a loud explosion from the large hotel, not far from where they were. "What the hell was that?" Kohaku asked, before Byakuya looked out from the window and saw a big cloud of smoke and fire coming out from the hotel's parking lot. 'That's strange,' Kohaku thought.
They walked quickly toward the source of the noise, their footsteps echoed loudly. The two of them stopped when they reached the edge of the building, seeing the hotel was burning. The people was screaming and running away from the scene, making them alarmed before Kohaku answered the call on his walkie-talkie. "Damien, what the hell happened there?!"
"Kayana! Byakuya! Leave that area, NOW! There's another bomb planted in the next building!" Damien's voice was urgent, he sounded serious.
"Hurry up! Or else-"
The signal got cut off by the blast wave that came from the direction of the hotel, causing the two of them to turn their heads to the large hotel. It was engulfed in flames, smoke rose above the building and the whole side of the hotel was blown into pieces. Kohaku heard a beeping voice from one of the cars, before he turn around to see the source--his eyes widened to see that there's a bomb there. His friends of his team also ran of from the area, telling them to run right now.
It was too late, the bomb exploded around them and send all of them into the ground-injuring half of them badly. The people were injured by the explosion, the wounded people around him were wailing and crying, and some of them died on the spot to the ground by the explosion.

"Quick! Send the backups now!"
Luca yelled when he witnessed the fire being extinguished by the firefighters, along the ambulances and medics coming on their way here. The Trilaksana Organization was quick enough to respond to ths bomb attack, they were shocked that it's not just one or two people who's responsible for this. "The terrorist group called 'Black Bracelets' are here! They're the attackers, hunt them down now!" he ordered, because the organization and the Indonesian police were working together on this.
Hifumi was directing the medics to the injured, while Kayla reporting to the authority along Aliyah while Kaname are handling the officers while standby-since he was getting the hard time doing this. Hokuri was making sure the members has arrived in the area, he also in charge of Interpol.
Their leaders Alda and Lastier monitored their subordinate division officers to find some of the injured bystanders with their bloodhounds, making sure that they were escorted far from the fire blast. "This is bad… we have to keep them away from the other bombs, the Mobile Brigade Corps are handling the other bombs that detected," Alda spoke to her husband, seeing that the explosion was contaminated with Anumerta--an infection came from the Phantom Beasts which is a biological weapon.
Lastier nodded with his eyes closed under his glasses, he was serious even when his eyes are closed and he never open them unless if things escalate quickly. "Keep your safety suits back on and masks, men! We're dealing with biological weapons here!" Luca announced, as he gave orders to the officers and his team-they already found and defuse the bombs before they deal with the contamination. "We have to hurry up! The backup is here!"
"Luca! Over here!"
Hifumi yelled at him, his voice was alarmed and urgent-Luca walk towards him and look at what he was looking at. "What?!" he shouted back, because the noises are making him irritated. While the Indonesian police forces and military arrived, the Trilaksana Organization had to aid them because they exterminate bioweapons before it spread in the city-it's an order given by the President and Police General.
The officers and the soldiers were searching for the terrorist group and the Black Bracelets, but the Trilaksana Organization and the Indonesian Military were the ones who can identify the source of the bioweapon.
They were shocked that it was a black sludge that was a biological weapon from the explosion, and it's a liquid with a dark greenish color. It's very infectious and lethal, but they were able to contain it before it was too late. It was a small amount, but it's a dangerous weapon and the liquid is highly contagious and highly deadly. "Oh fuck, this is the Anumerta..."
Hokuri grumbled, he knew this liquid because of the research he done a long time ago. "Keep it contained inside the container, we're going to send this to the laboratory and investigate this further."
"I'll handle this, Luca," Hifumi said, before he walked towards the container that's containing the Anumerta virus. "Kaname, you go handle the other victims!" Hokuri shouted at him, seeing Kaname nodded while he take care of the victims that were still alive. Luca's eyes widened to see a familiar face there, a man was laying on the ground--he's injured and bleeding from his head and he was unconscious. "Wait a minute... is that...?"
He didn't finish his words, because he recognize the man laying on the ground. Luca kneel down and checked him carefully, he didn't even hear his subordinates calling him. He was too focused on the man laying on the ground, and his eyes are getting bigger with his realization. "It's him..." Luca whispered, as he held the man's hand and checked his pulse.
It was his older brother Damien, how did he...
"Brother…?"
There he saw Damien's subordinates are here too, they have to be taken to the hospital immediately. "Quick! Take them to the nearest hospital!" Luca ordered, before he hold his older brother's hand. "He's going to be fine, right? He's going to wake up soon, isn't he?"
The medics carrying his brother's body and the other wounded, but Luca didn't follow him--he didn't leave him alone, and he didn't let him go. He didn't want to risk the chance of losing him, because his older brother is very important to him. He's the only family that Luca had, and he didn't want him to leave him and never see him again--until they had to deal with another raid which is even more difficult.
"Watch out!"
In the hospital...
The assassins of Secret Garden including their leader were not infected by the Anumerta which is safe, but their wounds are fatal that they're not sure if they're going to survive. Their clothes were also half-burned by the flames, and the fire destroyed most of their weapons and their equipments. Even though they still have Tiryag's ability which is regeneration, they actually needed blood to perform that. "Nobody should have known their true identities," Kaname grumbled, he had no choice but to monitor the six of them who are placed in the other section. "And I can't believe that I have to watch over six of you!" he whined, making Hifumi flapped his fan and fanning himself elegantly while saying. "Kaname-kun, don't you suppose to be kind enough to protect them? I mean, Byakuya is your rival after all."
Hifumi said with a pout, before Kaname huffed at him. "Shut up, Hifumi..." the Director-General snarled, before he look back at them. "You guys can regenerate yourselves since we Tiryags are here, do you need this blood or what?" he asked them, seeing their wounds now regenerating by itself even when they're still unconscious. "Nevermind, they don't need blood for that. But still, we failed to save Byakuya! He got kidnapped!"
Love this novel? Read it on Royal Road to ensure the author gets credit.
Kaname whined, making Hifumi sighed when he patted his shoulder. "I get it... Kaname-kun, I know you're upset because your worst enemy just got kidnapped. Wait, I can't believe I said enemy--is he your rival or something? Oh right, we have to deal with the two yakuza leaders who fled from that area... where are they now?"
"You mean... Takashi Shimaou of One-Eyed Dragon and... Kizuna Kekkain of Crimson Lotus Dragon? They're here, I just saved them from the blast."
Takashi sat down on the chair while he's unharmed like Kizuna across his seat, they seems... not in the best mood for some reason while they weren't glad about being saved by them. It's strange because Luca knows them personally since they often mentioned by Damien once, but he got scared to see their men were here after they barricaded their bosses. The Secret Garden assassins woke up from the bed, finding out that Byakuya got missing during the blast. Damien sat down in front of the two, he needed witness--who the hell blasted that hotel out of revenge to destroy the city hall in which they knew the explosion was triggered intentionally.
"We finally met again..."
Damien greeted the two leaders, this made Radjasa stand on guard but Kohaku stopped them--Rayna hugged Kohaku's knee as the little girl remained by his side. Sherry glared at them as Kiryu hissed at them like a cat, they demanded to know where the hell is Byakuya and Kyouka went apeshit when her older brother went missing. Hisato consoled his little girl Ichika to keep her calm, Kahayana whispered to Kohaku that they need to step back for a bit and he agreed.
Kizuna was still shocked from the blast earlier and she became quiet in that moment, Takashi is just watching her as their partners started the interrogation and questioning between the other party without words. "Before the explosion happens... where were you two at and what did you saw there?" he asked, their eyes flickered before both of them flinched at the question. There must be something hiding from them, but it seems like he got another question to ask them. "If anything, what caused the explosion? Please be honest, stop being quiet about it," he added.
If they didn't cooperate, then Damien had to use his hypnotic attack on them or telling Sherry to restrain them under her Hypno-Whisper to make them talk. "You're asking too many questions..." Takashi growled, before he stopped when Kizuna confessed. "I was at the hotel, looking for missing item with my men... I was checking out until I encounter Takashi. I don't know he's in the same hotel as me, but I managed to find my items I look for. We... had a small fight, until we encounter a strange individual carrying something weird. Both of us are annoyed, well, until we realized that we're in the same room with a bomb, we have no choice to evacuate but the timer is counting down."
His eyes widened, Takashi stared at her as he understood where the story is going. "The stranger wears a black mask with some red and white markings on it... wearing a black skin tight suit that look like a diver. They have something very bizarre on their left arm... it looks like a scarlet-colored armband... or something like that," Kizuna trailed off, making them recognized that banner. "Scarlet Armband Army... why are they in Bali?" Hisato muttered.
Takashi reluctantly answered their questions, saying the mysterious man was holding the bomb in his hand and had the scarlet armband on his hold as well. While they were interrogating, Kohaku suddenly remembered the face of a man. It is the same man from the day he was shot back at Bangkok, someone who nearly killed him when he was on a mission to assassinate his target. "So, the 'Black Cat' has a mafia as his partner in crime, too?" Kayla asked, making them understood. "The Black Cat? Do you mean that serial killer?"
"From the information's been saying in the news, the case is still ongoing by Interpol and the World Government Police... the 'Black Cat' is an Indonesian criminal mastermind who not only responsible for several city hall bombings, but also involved in cyberterrorism on the international scale. If this 'Black Cat' is a group of people from the Black Spiders Syndicate organization, one of the most dangerous terrorist groups in the world," Damien explained, learning that those bastards are on the move here, they kept moving too fast for their understanding--the Secret Garden assassins aren't following them though, they know their limits even when they still recovering from their wounds.
"The Black Spiders?"
Damien nodded, before he look back Kohaku who carefully stand up from the bed and rubbed his head. "We don't know about 'The Black Cat' yet, because we couldn't gather some informations about him. But at least, we figured out about the Black Spiders and why did they get involved in this incident," Hisato stated, making Kyouka nod when she look back at the flip cellphone on her hand with the rabbit keychain hanging on it--a gift from Byakuya during her birthday when she was thirteen years old.
Kyouka bit her lower lips, an unspoken silent fury that's going to explode--even worse, her worried expression was getting even more nerve-wracking. If it's something to do with her older brother--they can feel her anger in a short period of time. "Demon Snow…" she mumbled quietly, looking at her phantom familiar Demon Snow appeared beside her--putting her hand on the flip cellphone to comfort her. "Nii-sama…"
Hifumi was holding his orange-colored flip cellphone with a red fan keychain hanging on it, while Kaname was having a hard time trying to track Byakuya's location through his own flip cellphone. "By the way, did one of you have his numbers or something? I can't track him because I don't have his numbers," Kaname asked, before Kyouka nodded and look up at both of them. "I have it, and I think I found his location where he's being hold hostage."
They turned to look at Kyouka when she said that, she used the device to track his location--as long his flip cellphone is still with him; he's still available in the located regions even the wireless. "Where is he?" Damien asked, putting on his sunglasses when he folded his arms. Kyouka was surprised by the result of his last seen whereabouts, which is located far from where they are and seems to be deserted. "These coordinates… where the hell is this place?" Kyouka murmured, showing them the map with the red radar-like signal on the screen of her flip cellphone. "Oh, I know where that is!" Hifumi said happily, making Kaname jolted in surprise when he grumbled. "You almost giving me a heart attack, bastard…" he growled.
Kohaku was determined to save Byakuya, he believed that he's still alive somewhere and they had to find him as soon as possible. Kyoran had a vision in his eyes, making him narrowed his eyes. 'Lost moments...' he thought, glancing at Kyouka worriedly. "You know..." Kyouka grumbled, scratching the back of her head. "I had a bad feeling that what if Byakuya nii-sama might be amnesiac, and we can't do anything about it--we can't even get his memory back!" she exclaimed, before she look back at the map on her flip cellphone--even though her eyes are red and puffy from crying, she's still determined to save Byakuya because her older brother's best friend is here.
Kohaku is the only hope for them.
"Kohaku... how can I save him?"
Kohaku was surprised when Kyouka hugged him, he went silent for a moment--but that doesn't mean he doesn't have a solution for this. At this point, his mind went into thoughts--he has to reveal the identity of the traitor to fulfill his own mission as assassin, he had no choice but to do his plan on Byakuya in order to make them fight each other and in the end. "There's a way, Kyouka," he said to her, while patting her shoulder while the other teammates of his has arrived at the hospital. "You're the only choice to retrieve Nii-sama's memories, right?" she asked, before she blinked a few times--not noticing Kohaku had a smile on his face. "I will try my best to do anything possible," he responded, Kyouka nodded at his words with a small frown.
"Yes."
On the other side…
The old abandoned factory was located at the outskirts of the city, and the place is very silent and deserted. It has a tower crane and other heavy machinery, which was used a long time ago by the workers and the engineers--but now it's abandoned and no longer useful to the public. The factory had been closed for a long time, but it's still standing tall and well-built.
'The Black Cat' appears to be a tall Indonesian man has a messy dark hair with his left bangs covering his black eyepatch that covered his left eye-and he has golden-colored eyes, he has fair complexion and wears a white dress shirt with black tie neatly covered by his dark blue vest and black suit. He want to reverse Indonesia's social system, into what it was before in New Order. He was a worst traitor alive in both public and underworld government, because of his twisted ideology and philosophy.
He approached unconscious Byakuya who was tied up on the chair with his head hung low, as he was laying on the floor and he was barely breathing. His head is bleeding from the impact of the explosion, but he was still alive--he's still breathing and he's still alive. 'The Black Cat' was holding a golden cane on his hand, he was so sure that he had done the right thing--he was so sure that his plan is going to succeed. There was a name tag on his chest pocket of 'The Black Cat', with the name of 'William Pranaja' which was written in black ink.
"You're fortunate, my friend. But I can't risk letting you go... not when you're so damn important to my plan."
He whispered to him, seeing him opened his eyes slightly and he was slowly struggling against the restrained-before Byakuya coughed out loud. "W-Who are you...? Where am I...? And... who the hell am I?" Byakuya asked himself, making William lifted his eyebrows--how is this possible? He narrowed his eyes at Byakuya, grinning with his eye closed and he's very satisfied that he was able to bring him to his side. "You... you're the one who destroyed the city hall, right? Why?" Byakuya asked.
"Why do you need to know? You don't even know who you are," William stated out loud, knowing that Byakuya turned amnesiac-which make him very delighted that he was able to capture him and bring him here. "Oh, so you have amnesia. No wonder... I was wondering how did you survived that explosion. But, I saved you, my friend. And... I can't have you running away from me," he spoke, before he stand up and put his hands on his shoulder. "I can't let you ruin my plan, now can I?"
Byakuya was confused and puzzled, he couldn't remember what he was doing-he couldn't remember anything at all, he was afraid of his new identity and afraid of what he's going to do with him. "W-What are you talking about...?" He asked him, before the man let go of his shoulder and smile at him. William turned to his men and ordered him to release him, but not only that-but he gave him a special order that he will make sure to obey to his last command.
"Now, follow me. And if you don't want to die, then obey my orders-or else I will have you executed to death."
William ordered, before he look to the side with a smirk. "And that means, I have to get rid of you in the future... I know that deep down you want to work together to overthrow the government, but sadly enough--our ideals are not the same. You're mastermind like me, but you believed that you're a god who leads the people into the right path of equality and socialism--but, you're wrong," he said, as he turn around to walk away. "It's not the way, and it's not the time and it's not the right way for the world to reach its prosperity. I don't give a damn about the world, but I care about the people--and that's why I have to destroy your precious plan and everything you have. It's either the government falls and the people will have the liberty to become a good human being... or, you will die."
Three months later…
It's been three months since Byakuya's disappearance due to the aftermath of the terrorist attack, making Kyouka grumbled that she couldn't focus for two months and the Operation Equator had to be postponed for two months and this month they'll continue where they left. The five Secret Garden assassins decided to focus on dealing with Takashi and Kizuna first, before they handle 'The Black Cat' because they know how dangerous he was towards them. Once the nighttime comes they were prepared while entering the limousine, the drive took fifteen minutes to the location where the guests of conglomerate classes are gathered. When they have arrived, the limousine stopped in front of the gate and the seven of them came out from there--separating into groups of two to three people after Damien assigned them to investigate the ballroom party.
Kohaku was walking down the hallway of the building since he had to search for his best friend, he knew he had to put him aside or else it might get messed up. He was wearing his tuxedo suit that he borrowed from Damien, he obviously hated wearing it because on how tight the tie around the collars so he had to adjust it loose a bit. "This is fucking tight… how many suits did Damien have?" he murmured, he remembered that Damien collecting a lot of suits and coats from his business trips--he must be a fancy gentleman because he need to keep his professional image in business world. He was wondering if Damien has casual fashion as he never seen him wearing anything aside the formal attributes, but that's going to be very unrelated to work.
Kohaku was still following the trail of blood to the hallway of the corridor, it made him anxious that why is he feeling like this. 'Where are you… Byakuya?' he thought--he didn't know why but when he step into the public bathroom, he froze when he heard footsteps inside the bathroom which he was cautious. Not only that, when he took a closer approach--he heard a sound similar to asthmatic symptoms by taking the inhaler to its mouth. He didn't want to believe it, he knew this isn't what he suppose to see.
As he took a peek, he was surprised to see a tall figure with a black coat that has golden accents with a black cape covering his identity-with the hood that covering the man's face and hair. He stood there in silence, absolutely petrified because Kohaku is more than shocked.
He was horrified, he thought this was just another dream of his… this is what he got.
The figure turn around to see Kohaku there, it made him react for a moment as he stood still. Kohaku can't see his face which he can't assume it was Byakuya, so he'd be approaching him first in a slow but careful step. "Excuse me," Kohaku started, trying to catch his attention until his eyes widened when the stranger dashed against him. Which made him startled by sudden reaction. Kohaku evaded his assault and what's even more surprising--he noticed who was underneath his cape, he was silent for a moment before he take out the dagger and tossing it towards the stranger.
The cape's hood got hit by the dagger and pierced to the wall that revealed the true identity of the man, Kohaku was horrified--did his vision tricked him? He prayed that this is just a dream--he was wrong.
"Byakuya?"
Kohaku whispered, as he gasped in shock when the person was revealed to be his best friend--the person who was missing for months and not able to find him. Byakuya was silent, before he tried to slash him with his dagger--which he evaded his attack easily and grabbed his wrist. He seemed acting different than before, Kohaku realized something--he was amnesiac, he didn't know who he was nor his past, and he might be suffering from memory loss. "Byakuya, can you hear me?"
Kohaku asked, as he was still holding his wrists-he had a strong grip on him, but he still struggling in his hold. "Where have you been? Where did you go? And why are you dressed like that? Have you seen your family?" Kohaku asked him, hoping that he'll reply him and tell him what had happened since the last time they met. But instead of that, he struggled with a force and Kohaku ended up losing his grip on him.
Byakuya was able to break his wrist and kick him in his gut, making him coughed blood and fell on the floor. Kohaku was in disbelief, as he tried to stand up before Byakuya kicked him again--before he tried to stab him, but he was stopped when Kohaku grabbed his arm and punched him in the face. Byakuya was dazed for a moment, he was stunned and Kohaku took the chance to mark him by using his three daggers to claw his arm-marking him before he could escape from the scene.
Kohaku was panting, as he got up and saw Byakuya was still standing there-looking at him as if he was glaring at him. He didn't want to fight him, but he couldn't leave him alone with him. Kohaku closed his eyes as he lose consciousness, before he lost his balance and fall on the floor again. He was trying to hold on his consciousness, as he opened his eyes and saw Byakuya was walking away from him. "I don't know why I was wearing this suit, I just wanted to wear it because I have a feeling of nostalgia," Byakuya murmured, as he look down at his clothes with a smirk. "I don't know who you are, but you seems to know my name that well. I suppose I should thank you for helping me, but I think it's time to take my leave."
Byakuya said, before he opened the door and leave the bathroom--as Kohaku was trying to get up from the floor. He take out his walkie-talkie and call Damien, letting him to know about Byakuya's condition. "This is Kayana, I found Byakuya... but he's not the same person as before--he attacked me, and I'm okay now."
"What?! Where is he now? Why he attack you?"
Damien asked him, which Kohaku was silent for a moment. "He... he's not himself, I think he's not acting right--like his memory loss or something. He literally said something about a feeling of nostalgia. I think he's acting odd, like a different personality--it's like he's not the real one," the boss of Secret Garden was shocked when Kohaku said that, he knew what he was talking about. 'That bastard... how am I going to tell Kyouka about this? I mean, Byakuya is her one and only older brother, she's going to be very upset.'
"Stay in the bathroom and don't come out of there. I'll explain everything later."
Damien said, as he cut the transmission before Kohaku let out a sigh of relief. He's not sure if Byakuya is actually still in there or he's already gone--either way, he's not safe to be left alone. He's afraid, and he couldn't trust him at all-how did he lose his memory? And why did he attacked Kohaku? "I'm sorry... Kyouka," he murmured, as he lean his back on the wall. Radjasa ran towards him, kneeling down to see Kohaku who still sitting on the floor. "Haiyah! What happened?!" his Indonesian compatriot asked, causing Kohaku to look up at him. "It's... fucking complicated," he growled, seeing his partner still looking at him in worry. Kohaku couldn't tell him what had happen to Byakuya, but he just couldn't help but feel worried about him.
Then again, he also missed Byakuya since they haven't seen each other for a long time. He wondered if Byakuya doesn't remember about him, or if he can't recognize him as his friend--what about the others?
