Chapter XXIV: Not Good Enough For You

*ೃ༄

There was camping for the whole school, which Ren made an event for the students during their field trip of Surabaya Cultural School. Now that Kuran choose to rest because the gods remained in their temples, since there's so many people who still prayed for them. He was so lazy that he had to organize some of his last events before the end of his third-year in high school with Kaizo, Izumo, Hakuren, Konami and Eiko (plus Shiro have to enter the high school year and Hyde started as a high school student in his third year).

Farlan was on the same age like Dinda, Ren, Kaizo, Hakuren, Hyde and Izumo and turns out he's also the third-year student like them. He stretched his arms when their bus has arrived in the camping site of Child of Sea Lake across Mount Barujari in Lombok, Indonesia--the Indonesian student was curious about the lake because the bluish view in the morning is so beautiful, same for the sunrise glow that sparkled as the waves swayed calmly. "There's a reason for such place to exist, not because it's beautiful but because you're blessed with nature," Hakuren said out of nowhere, which she enjoyed the view of the lake when the Student Council Secretary took some pictures with the other international students.

Ren was reading the agenda as the Student Council President already made a rundown with the help of Kaizo who was the Vice-President and Izumo already counting the cash for the event (since he's a Treasurer), he yawned when he already sit at the picnic table with the other for awhile, he wanted to take some nap while waiting for their friends arriving--only Hakuren and Izumo discussed about certain stuff, Kaizo went to pick the tree branches while Ren already spread out his arms on the table. "Fuck, I feel like sleeping," Ren muttered when he had to write the documents he needs to write about the field trip, while his writing got messy and ugly when he's tired. "The teachers and principal told us just to take our time, it's a week long huh," Izumo said, he smirked while counting the money in his checklist. The Vidyadharas also live their lives as a normal human being, even when they're going to graduate from the most prestigious international school of Surabaya

"(Can I speak Indonesian with you)?" Kaizo asked his Indonesian best friend, Ren rolled his eyes at him. "(You already did, dude)," he scoffed in annoyance and keep writing his stuff for the class reunion in his senior year that their class going to organize, and it wasn't entirely too fancy or too traditional. 'I would never join a fucking pompous prom, or whatever posh shit the whole school are hosting--but whatever it's our end of service, I ain't gonna disappoint them with our leadership,' Ren thought in his mind, before Kaizo came to sit with him. "(So, is it true that there's cult of Dust Memories)?" he asked, whispering the last part.

It's the group the Student Council wanted to deal with, the cult group who worshipped Nanda was planning to revive the fucker and disturb the peace--or either he does his bidding here or there to destroy the world for personal benefit or revenge. Apparently, they hated Kuran and even hated his fucking descendants like Rihan and his son Ren--which is why they targeted them or targeting the ones who was related to the 'Unimaginable Curse' of the Gods. Ren was silent, before he clicked his pen. "(What about them)?" he asked again, turning to him with a stern look on his face. "(Of course they're everywhere, we want to stop the war because we don't want chaos, but those kind of fools wanted more just like that)," Ren continued.

"Well fuck, looks like we have to ensure the safety of these students."

Konami was minding her business in baking her macaroni after school has ended since it was two weeks earlier than summer vacation and the third year students are already planned for the class reunion party, she groaned when she heard some ridiculous rumors with these vile cults. "I thought everything is over?" she asked them, placing her puffed cheek after she just finished baking. Hyde was drinking his bottle filled with human blood, listening to them. "Well, we can't say it's truly over like a rainbows and sunshine, can we? Greetings, darling," he greeted her while turning to her, tilting his head and leaning against his palm.

Eiko was helping the students in building their tents in the camp for 2 days and 3 nights, she heard about them--she's tired of hearing rumors in high school that can range from crazy shit to somewhat normal students being weird--or getting on a heated argument from simple rivalry or not. Shiro was getting along with his new friends like Izayoi and Yayoi who assisted the campsite to be done sooner, thanks to their help--Hyde observed the kids interaction. "It's still getting darker, I guess," he hummed, his red eyes gleamed in the afternoon and continued to sip his drink.

"Alright, classes!"

Ren spoke through the megaphone while standing beside Kaizo, Izumo and Hakuren to announce the students, prefects and the teachers while the principal is listening. "In the midnight, there will be stars and Milky Way in the South Direction of the lake and if you want to look at it--the staff members will send a sign that you're ready with your stuff and hiking equipment. There's already a sign from them in our own area, well... let's have fun!" he smiled, informing them as all of the students and faculty cheered as their student president salute them for a moment. Some of the prefects are planning a night swim, as Ren's class are swimming together or in their tent and slept in-sync. The Student Council President was watching the lake and the wind that was chilling in the lakeside, the time is late at 11 PM. as the students returned to their own tents and cabins.

Seraph was guarding like usual since he's an owl person, while Yomi remained guarded with her katana--they were part of his school so they have to join them. Ren was sleeping in his tent with his close friends after he was notified by the principal, there will be an opening fire celebration right in the after midnight when the group began to use the fireworks they have for some stupid games. He dreamt the night view when he first had the meeting with the gods, and the war of the gods with the androids... seeing the night starry sky glow before as Kuran remembered the last attack... leading to his death before he woke up. "Nngh... why am I getting a weird dream?" Ren wondered to himself, stretching his arms and feeling the wind breezed from the nearby sea of the lake as the water touched his fingertips.

There was a small white butterfly he caught in his hand as it fluttered with the black butterfly on his hand, he began to walk out from the tent quietly and grabbed a flashlight and his phone. He decided to wander around the trees and there's so many tents that have lights or already out, getting deep into the woods and entered the lighted tree in the middle that wasn't visible in the nighttime. He sensed a presence of a beast, followed by the loud screech of eagle who happened to see him as a threat and he looked up--oh hell no.

The Student Council President's eyes widened when someone shot the Phantom Beast above him, he stepped back and watched the beast fell down and disintegrated into black ashes. "Easy there, Student Council President. You just got saved, by warrior monk," a voice said when Ren turn around, seeing a tall young but middle-aged man standing with a flintlock on his hand. He has a shoulder-length black scruffy messy hair with long bangs framing over his silver-slate eyes and frameless glasses, he has pale complexion and slender but muscular physique. He wears some kind of black monk robe with some kind of scrolls with Tibetan calligraphy and long sleeves, with black thin, tight-fitting sleeveless mock-turtleneck, with black fingerless gloves and black pants with black socks and black boots.

'Warrior monk? What is that?' Ren thought in his head, even when he could handle it alone. "Oh, sorry. Looks like you're enjoying your time alone, it's better if you just observe from here," he said with a smile, walking past him to hunt more Phantom Beasts as Ren stared at him in confused expression. "Wait, who are you? Also, you looked... foreign," Ren blurted out the last word, the mysterious tall man turned to him with a lopsided smile. "My name is Wang Yifan, an acolyte of the Temple of Gods. Don't worry, since you Vidyadharas are protecting these mortals," Yifan informed the president, raising his eyebrows when he is a pretty observant student for being young like him.

"My name is Riyanda Tjahyana," Ren introduced himself, how did this warrior monk know that he's a Vidyadhara? Also, what is that scrolls he has on his shoulders? Seriously he never seen that sort of weapon before, nor his robes. "Pleased to meet you Riyanda, if you excuse me--I'll be warding off the evil spirits," Yifan began to leave, he wants to follow him because he didn't recognize his abilities or capabilities yet. He was curious, he felt like he's used to that kind of aura of the young man. The acolyte took our his cigarette and began to smoke a pipe for some reason, leaving Ren just standing there.

'How did he know that I'm a Vidyadhara?' he wondered, when he recalled their small interaction... he was only stunned when he referred him as a Vidyadhara. Then, Ren comically froze when the warrior monk sat on the tree log across him--making him shrieked. "Y-YOU'RE STILL HERE?!" he exclaimed in confusion, rubbing his hair and startled. Yifan laughed in response to his reaction, chuckling. "A~lright, easy. We had so much to talk about, especially there's important thing to explain. Since, well..." he cleared his throat when he hummed and trying to convince Ren for something. "You know, ever since you defeated the False Heavenly Emperor... the evil gods are enraged because they already find out that you--a descendant of fallen god from their ancient era, to interfere and destroy them," he explained, throwing away the butted cigar on the ground.

Ren blinked, before his eyes grew wider. "Oh shit, I guess I--" he paused when Yifan brew a smoke from his mouth, laughing a little. "No, you did the right thing but there's more to fight than one. Even us, warriors of gods..." Yifan continued, Ren noticed him taking out a bag of foods and his face grew sour. "I thought warrior monks are vegetarian," Ren blurted out in deadpan, "Never mentioned to be vegetarian, we did eat meat though. I also worked as an investigator, or whatever profession they needed in the temple and being an investigator isn't that hard for us acolytes," Yifan said casually, before he ate a sandwich from a certain shop. "Where are you from?" the Indonesian asked, watching the warrior monk chewing his food.

"I came from China, but my residence is in the monastery of Tibet. The temple belongs to the God of War, they named the temple 'The Temple of All Seasons'. They knew the evil in this realm is coming back because the past times are the beginning, and they're awaiting to gather all the celestial powers for protection from the World Government--whom are the false gods the whole time. I'm the emissary of Khen Rinpoche in Tibetan monastry known as Rongbuk Monastery. His Excellency ordered me to track the evil spirits of the evil gods that invaded the realm, it turns out--you and your friends are blessed by the Sovereign Gods," Yifan explained, gesturing Ren to sit and let's continue their discussion further. Ren was confused, but he listened closely of what he have to tell him about.

Yifan drank his coconut water and finished his sandwich as Ren observed the mystical scrolls he brought to track down the Phantom Beast on those trees, he was distracted when the clouds unveiled the night moon was glowing in the sky. "I have a question, why didn't you shave your hair? Usually monks shave their hairs," Ren raised his eyebrows. Yifan sighed quietly and placed his small bag of food behind the log, while leaning to listen to him more--putting on his mask of emotionless look. "I'm quite a rebellious acolyte, but we warrior monks are not like the typical monks. We don't shave our hair, but have to keep it out of our vision because these long messy hairs of mine gets in the way of combat and makes things so easy for the enemy... if you were using bows," he explained.

"And, what are those scrolls on your shoulders?"

Ren asked, pointing at the scrolls on his shoulders--turns out it was a sutra that belonged to the deceased gods and he added more details about the cult who had corrupted the monasteries in the world, the Temple of All Seasons is one of them and they were planning to have the Vidyadharas and warrior monks to team up. "This is called Heavenly Sutras, these sutras are different than usual scriptures with more colors and they're created by the divine rulers in the celestial court. There are thousands of scrolls that have been created, even about the secrets of war and this world's past the future," Yifan whispered and showed Ren the Heavenly Sutras from his shoulders, he never expected that there will be another groups that have the scrolls and the warrior monks have them all. "This..."

He can sense the spiritual energy that was filled with mightier souls from each divine monks that passed away in the war, some are even filled with the 'story' from their visions and dreams. Ren wanted to sleep so bad, because this event he made is the last one before the End of Year but then it only takes 2 days and nights--did he mention that he's forced to have a speech as a Student Council President in this camp or whatever the fuck it was; Yifan gave him a lopsided smile. "But, if you see me again someday... will you understand me a little, Student Council President of the International Surabaya Cultural School?"

Ren yawned when he stand up and nodded, taking off his non-prescription glasses after his vision got back... sadly, he suddenly fainted from overthinking (he fainted due to over-tiredness)--and never know that he went to his tent. "Oh dear, you worked too hard... Riyanda Tjahyana, perhaps giving you a small assistance is too much," Yifan couldn't help but smile in the darkness as the stars he gazed on the moonless sky in the night. Unknown to Ren, somehow he will meet Yifan when he woke up after he got back to his tent. Yifan played with his prayer beads as he prayed silently, he opened his eyes with his pale steel-colored eyes.

"Time will guide him and it will never stops until they meet, that moment his story... must be fulfilled at any cost."

The next day, Ren couldn't sleep because he received some informations from the students who got scared like hell because they heard some kind of inaudible chanting of certain creepy language that echoes in the night. Ren felt like he was stabbed in the back, because he was still exhausted after all! "Seriously?! Those kids are worried too much, we're here to have fun... then here you fucking go: bring 'murder-scare' business," Ren said in sarcastic, pulling his hair in aggravation and tried not to scream his lungs out in despair. "We're here to have an adventure, dude!" Izumo whined, he keep rolling in his sleeping bag with his messy platinum blonde short hair rolled like that along with him.

Ren glared at him, he ordered the prefects to keep an eye of the students when the teachers informed them to be careful of anything supernatural because he was sure they will get some accidents here. In his mind, his friends including Kaizo already woke up and getting ready for the barbeque class that they prepared for everyone during the lunch--they talked about their concerns after Ren felt something going on, but they also warned to take it easy and promised him not to let him overwork. But he couldn't calm his nerves because of the dangers lurking in the camp, yet everyone seems oblivious and happy about.

Apparently the next day, they had to move to the cabin villages after descending from the Child of Lake and headed to the cabin sites so they can relax there. Ren ended up snoring on his bed which made Kaizo rolled his eyes and huffed, sitting on the bench. "What the hell is wrong with Ren? Usually he's carefree or whatever but lately he seemed distracted and--huh?" he turned around to see a mysterious black-haired monk appeared beside him, who have silver-grey colored eyes. "Relax, I was just simply checking on him as ordered by His Holiness," he said, brewing his smoking pipe. "Damn, you scared us."

"I never thought that there is someone who really doesn't need to know him, since everything is obvious for him."

Kaizo turned to him with a raised eyebrow, the warrior monk sighed. "Apparently... I have a favor, and... it's serious," he muttered, making him hummed. "Oh, as you know..." he pointed his thumb at Ren who still asleep, drooling like a cat. "I know that, but my favor is incredibly serious if you want me to wake up Riyanda. By the way, I'm Wang Yifan," Yifan spoke, seeing Kaizo tilted his head. "What favor? Also, my name is Kaizo Shindō."

A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.

Yifan's coolheaded and laxed face frowned into an upset look, before he blew his smoke from his mouth. "I lost my pet, his name is Bing-Bing... it's a Binturong that I adopted from when he's a baby," he requested. The fuck, he has a Binturong? Are binturongs are the type of animal that he'll raise for his sake? What the fuck a warrior monk was doing here to remind him a certain film? Kaizo stood there like a fucking idiot, trying not to laugh at his shit for being an idiot and the fact he has a 'pet' Binturong made him crack. "Excuse me, which pet? A binturong?"

"YES--I'M SERIOUS ABOUT HIM!"

Ren awoke up just hearing someone bitching out, it wasn't a growl--it was an angry statement from someone. "Oh, you're awake," Kaizo said, while he yawned. "If I wasn't, I'm gonna beat your ass," Ren said jokingly, rubbing his eyes and sat down on the bed. Kaizo smacked his head, telling him to shut up with that shit and he turned to Yifan--who happens to be in terrible mood. "Oh, we meet again. What are you doing in our cabin?" he raised his eyebrows while Yifan stared at him, trying to hide his anxiety by putting on an impassive look on his face. His presence was so unnerving like a frozen look on his face even when he talked about his precious adopted binturong's disappearance, this time--all of them had to help him.

God, he felt bad for this man.

They went to look for his cute binturong in the swamp of mist and fog, Ren brought his polearm and used the supernatural abilities to track down the binturong by tracking the animal scent. Kaizo used his katana in case there's an ambush on all sides or they knew exactly who's their enemy was--meanwhile, Yifan tried to call his furry friend by calling the name he had since he was a baby. Izumo and Hakuren were wondering why were they so focused, Ren turned to him with his usual stoic expression. "So, the binturong you have is like the other binturong right? How did you got that strange animal?" Ren wondered when Yifan explained to him when he caught him while hunting for him.

"He's really a good boy, but since the abomination is ruining my job... I need you all to search for him," Yifan said calmly, Hakuren wanted to ask him if he want to explain some confusing words like his binturong being an abomination--this is the first time she ever heard that kind of animal (even though she's been in Indonesia) before. "Why don't we lure him with food?" Izumo asked, holding up an apple which is his favorite foods as Yifan looked at him as if he's dumb and clapped for a second. "His favorite food is fruits but mostly apples and other veggies, so..."

They paused when they heard a roar of Phantom Beast, charging against them before Izumo aimed his tanegashima gun to shot the beast and the group heard a noise from above. "What's that--" Ren immediately stabbed the Phantom Beast who attacked them from below after he finished to kill him using Samsara Blade and ended it with a stab. Hakuren raised her katana 'Upside Down Orchids of Winter' and released a series of ice attack against their enemies that appeared on them, while Kaizo unleashed his wind strikes against the beasts. Yifan used his scrolls and aimed his flintlock with the chanting, releasing the powerful arrows that destroy them. "Jesus Christ, I didn't think that there's lot of beasts and Phantom Beast," Ren said in annoyed tone, holding his cheek in irritation and groaned.

As they defeated them, they were panting before the binturong suddenly fell on Izumo's head and he yelled in pain. It was his binturong, Bing-Bing! Yifan's eyes had sparks and stars when he saw his furry buddy, he took his pet and cradled him. "Woah, he was above the tree the whole time and I didn't see him there," he admitted sheepishly, Kaizo shrugged his shoulders. "Honestly? Who knows if he'll save our lives," Ren mocked a little, snickering at him. "So, you brought your pet with you during your trip to Indonesia?" Hakuren asked, she watched the warrior monk playing with his pet and caressing him. "Of course! When I have a time off during the job and when my mission is complete, I love to play with him... my life was stressful, that's why I love my simple life as an acolyte," Yifan explained.

But there's something mysterious about this warrior monk, like what's his missions in the temple of Tibet ordering him to do? There's no time to talk and wasting, although they're not a pair of typical 'two in the same team' pair... or like it or not, the day slowly eventually ends when they spent their times as if they never talk about their enemies and troubles at all. Their event for the last day before the summer vacation starts, not only they played a lot of outdoor games but there's also a small festivity for the end of spring season. "So, you came here just to keep an eye on me or...?"

Ren asked Yifan, watching him caressing his pet binturong Bing-Bing and felt sleepy. "I can't help but find you interesting because you were one of his descendant," he said quietly, shrugging his shoulders. "Huh, the power must be not always in my lineage..." Ren muttered, then he glanced at the lakeside view. The binturong let out a cooing sound as he licked his paws and sleep, while the mysterious warrior monk pulled off his scarf to let him breathe for a moment. Ren yawned, he stretched his arms when he wanted to nap. "Let's just say I came here just to make sure you're fine. I had a good time with you, maybe we will meet in some coincidence someday," Yifan rambled a bit before Ren fell asleep without noticing he's close, he stared at him--there's so much secrets within this boy.

Yifan watched the boy fell asleep when he went to leave with his pet in his bag, he observed him with a smile--somehow he felt like that connection to him. Ren was more relaxed when he was close to him, not really caring much about their situation or from a same realm... the more they spend time to do, is their bond they would finally have for the first time. But he stared at the starry sky of the milky way until... he spotted a shooting star that flew through the sky in front of him, it's like a messenger from heavens like a signal or an omen. The omens from the Temple of All Seasons, telling him that there was someone he needed to meet... someone like Ren. He began to take a note he forgot, taking out his small pocketbook and wrote the date and his message to warn him in the future.

"Perhaps they'll meet in an unexpected circumstance, after all..."

Yifan muttered, before he returned to his place when the wind blew so gently and the wind of spirit's movement calmed his mind when he returned to the Temple of Gods through the gate that leads him to Tibet. Ren just got back to his cabin after Kaizo dragged his ass back for oversleeping again and Izumo was laughing about his appearance, mocking him as an evil spirit. "Well? No offense man, but you looked like a dead fish for a damn reason!" Izumo cackled as he howled when Hakuren pinched his cheek. "Are you implying this is a trick or an act? Or is he genuinely oblivious about the prank," Kaizo spoke and saw him deadpanned, somehow his glasses had drops of sleep liquid.

'... Seriously, Ren?' Izumo muttered in their mind as they gaped, Ren rolled his eyes and ignored them. He ended up cleaning his eyes with his tissues before he slapped Kaizo's nape, snorting.

The next morning...

Kaizo took over Ren's role because he saw him being exhausted and told his friend that he took over the speech for today, Izumo smiled in response while Hakuren didn't seem to give a shit because she just want to sleep. "Huh, where's Riyanda?" Mrs. Chandra asked, noticing his absence. "He's exhausted, I assure you he will be fine and rested later in the cabin with me," the Student Council Vice-President replied, nodding to the others that agreed to the plan with Ren, no matter he would still be their President (without him getting pulled by Mr. Satriya and the others). "Ah... okay, because we'll be here until the project is done," Mrs. Chandra said, smiling at her students and Mrs. Kimberly announced the students.

Konami, Eiko, Shiro, Hyde and Shenlan were enjoying their time in the lake, camping outside without being bothered with some weird rumors. Ren was sleeping like a log in the room and the three friends have left already, Kaizo is being productive and working his ass off to make some documents, reports, schedules and many more due to certain circumstances so that their friends can enjoy their time in their camp. Hakuren helped him because she knew Kaizo is hardworking and needs someone else to assist him, the guy who stayed with him was Farlan and Izumo had to keep an eye on Ren and the students. Eiko was surfing the internet through the computer, the camp was fun as heck as long as she did something that she enjoyed, finding some online horror stories to scare everyone.

Dinda was joining the others as she talked with Shenlan and the rest, she likes camping very much as her smile was the happiest ever. She was also the happy-go-lucky and always cheerful and optimistic member, watching the time tick and enjoying the nature vibes for themselves. On the other side, Ren was burying himself under the blankets and falling asleep, exhausted. This is the end of the story... almost. It's just a beginning when it feels like the last arc in the sequel.

After a whole two days, Ren was acting like a zombie and Izumo was laughing because his funny-ass expression and Kaizo had to prepare a water to splash his face--Hakuren snorted when she saw him like that in the Student Council office. "Dude, you're good?" he asked when Ren acted normal. "Ah, my mind is like--gone the other day after the meeting between the Gods and the fallen warrior monk... I didn't know why, but now I feel great and relaxed after staying indoors," Ren replied, before he washed his face and preparing his stuffs to be carried by his friends. He didn't tell what happened to him, his friends would freak the heck out of him. "Alright, got the itinerary to deal with the classes and the End of Year proposal?"

"Yeah, since we finished our school works and stuff... this is going to be the real last service in this Student Council leadership. Seriously, I can't even manage my time and all while still have duties like... this can go to hell..."

Back to the main protagonist's side, Ren did the class opening with his friends and the faculty staff began to applauded. "The Star Festival is coming soon, the Surabaya Cultural Highschool will do the annual competition for the junior and senior year," Kaizo said, Hakuren was informed that the announcement was surprising. "We will create a play, the 4 categories will have 8 rounds and 16 classes for you to judge and the first winner gets the best prize ever!" Izumo announced as he clapped his hands, the students yelled happily. 'Alright, I guess those students will accept this challenge... alright I miss my battle,' Ren thought in his head with a mischievous grin and Kaizo let his partner in crime to continue their speeches, winking. 'Time to celebrate in the party!'

Shenlan couldn't believe that everything is not boring and more chaotic, before chuckling quietly while she wrote her essay. Meanwhile, Yifan was watching from the distance while holding his beads in a rather calming manner, he noticed that the MYP students were playing sports so the warrior monk merely watches them from the distance. "Now you're much more happier than the previous days... the time is not over, the starry sky was not yet be filled with the Moon and Sun."

Ren walked out from the office to get a fresh air, he yawned as he stretched his arms until he encountered Yifan again. "O-oh, it's you... um... Mr. Warrior Monk," Ren stumbled when he remembered him, somewhat forgetting his name. "Guess again, Student Council President," he teased playfully, before the high school student gasped. "Ah! Yifan! I'm sorry, haha," Ren awkwardly laughed, feeling relieved that he didn't get so much attention from people in the school. The wind waved his hair, as Yifan hummed in response. "It's fine, after all what we talked about... you just need to be careful with your surroundings."

"Seriously, why are you here?"

Ren asked him, he didn't realize that Kaizo was hiding behind the tree but definitely because he has a keen eye, the Student Council Vice-President approached him to his position. "Looks like someone's having a quiet time, how'd you do?" Kaizo asked, patting Ren's shoulder gently and he was a bit startled when the warrior monk chuckled. "I came here as an emissary under Khen Rinpoche of Rongbuk Monastery in Tibet, he sent me to Indonesia because of you Vidyadharas..." he announced. Kaizo now put his eyes on Ren in full anger, grabbing his wrist as Ren raised his hand defensively. "What?!"

"No, no. He want me to tell you guys something about what you did, on defeating the False Heavenly Emperor."

In the campsite when they packed their belongings to the bus, Shiro couldn't help but was eavesdropping on their conversation and so was Dinda and Shenlan. Hyde had no interest on it, he was hanging out with the other kids and having a time of his life--but he got tricked by them for pranking on poor Konami who was just walking near to get her water bottle back. "YOUR ASS IS GONNA BE PUNISHED BY ME, YOU ASSHOLE!" Konami yelled.

Hyde snickered when he saw his girlfriend is angry as heck, seeing her splashing a freshwater against them. "She's insane, and that's why I love her. Nobody's got that fireball before," he muttered, watching the other boys left running. "Konami, darling. It's okay, the punishment can wait, but now. We're too old to have this kind of arguments," he replied calmly, only to pounced on by the two drenched boys. "Oh hell no," Hyde hissed quietly, before Konami saw him and came to approach him. "Hyde, I heard that one of the Vidyadharas meet their new allies... an Emissary Warrior Monk from the Temple of the Gods that the warriors were talking about," she said, she told him that both Dinda and Shenlan wants to listen.

Hyde knitted his eyebrows together, what is the warrior monk from Tibet doing in here and to wait for them? He started to see how all the things are getting so much... 'unplanned' if anything if whatever Yifan was about to say was serious as the whole world and gods is in danger, no matter what they'll do. However, he heard that there's indeed a cult that planned to mess with them. "This may looks... no doubt that every gods will fight again the war and their last enemy, no one knows yet the reason. Let's meet Ren, can we? Also, Jillian and her gang survived the Phantom Eruption so... they're probably going to stay over somewhere safe," he informed, making Konami relieved. "That's good..."

Konami muttered, before her boyfriend asked her best friend. "By the way, Eiko. Are you okay now? Like, have you completely moving on from Hakusan and his death?" Hyde asked, watching Eiko finished packing her belongings. "Uhh... yeah, his father Reoh and relative Hakuren still accepted me... and I like the way they were still had his legacy. It's just, that we moved on from his death. I moved on from Hakusan... it's a sad thing that those days, we were trying to find answers," she said with a frown, sighing. "Look, he's just... suffered a lot from losing his first love and his mother--his issues with his father and his own lineage also took a toll on him. He hate his black hair too, so... what he did of killing people isn't right either. And, when he didn't care that I broke up with him... I feel some sort of relief from it," Eiko continued, smiling sadly as she reminisced everything.

"Konami, sorry about what happened back then... you must be traumatized after what happened to Hyde right? Like, he nearly died after losing his power until one of Ren's allies brought his soul and power back," Eiko continued, she remembered that Konami choose to leave the house after her conflict with Shūhei and Hakusaan (before their death)--even making Shiro feel guilty of what the Hebi and Kobe clan's fault on her. She lost so much and left her with her older brother Kazuya, like how Ren lost so much of his family. He lost his mother and grandparents after the tragedy, leaving him and his father Rihan left to live.

Shiro joined as well, he also feel sorry for trusting Shūhei too much instead of Konami and Ren. Eiko finished packing and said, looking back at them. "Also, it's normal to grieve and find peace with what you felt in a certain situation," she added with a bright smile, Konami couldn't help but smiled at her because Eiko's words is... so nice to hear. It really made her happy. "Right? Because... the truth is, Hakusan is just like a past lover that I never got over, and he doesn't appreciate our... well, before he became like that. Back then, I just want him to be happy and let him know that even though his crime is unforgivable; he still has a heart. But, I was hurt the most when I was blamed and looked as the weak girl in my whole life."

Hyde nodded, he managed to reunite with his six siblings as he also reconciled with Konami. He turned to face Konami and put his hand on her shoulder, he wasn't that sad--but he feels so guilt, after he wanted her to remain strong yet ignored her own strength as she was fragile. "Come on, don't make a sad face on my face. Even if you became a Vidyadhara one day, I won't really let you leave your life like that because I need to fulfill the promise... and become your servant," Hyde reassured, patting her hair gently before Konami buried her face into his chest and hugging him tightly.

Eiko smiled at them, before she heard Shiro spoke to them. "Also, I should do the right things than following others. Since I owe you a lot, along with Ren. A lot of things happened, making me feel like I used to be insecure about myself and what I can do... or should I even stayed in the island? My selfish choices, wrong thing on some problems, or misjudgment," Shiro mentioned, those days was surely tiring for him but now he was able to move on and got new friends. "Sorry for being a burden to you guys... maybe I should've done better," Konami spoke, before Hyde hugging her back and smiling. "Nah, I mean you're brave enough to be like that, even it was painful for you. You never gave up on us, I can understand. We all are..."

"... but now, let's kick this ass without a mistake!"

Konami stated, fist-bumped with them in unison and high-fived them. Ren watched them from the distance, he smiled just by seeing them hang out with each other. No matter what you or others do, there's always the thing that you should cherish.

Tap, tap. Tap, tap.

The skies has turning grey, then followed by the rain pouring down and let the falling of the petals came down. The bus has arrived in school as the students went back to the dorm and their own dorm's home. Ren stretched his arm as he and his friends on the bus began to disembark when the bus reached their school and welcomed by Mr. Satriya, who is surprised by them. "Ahh! We're back!" Ren chirped, before he slumped into the ground as Hakuren sighed. "He is still tired but not as crazy as before," she informed the principal.
