Chapter 14 “Pudding Day”
As the cruel top predator continued its hunt for the in its stomach-resting jellyfish’s relatives, as it had an appetite for pudding today, two blue eyes hid among the luminescent minerals nestled in the chasms wall, eagerly observing, waiting for the right timing.
But before it finished off the last remaining jelly, it bursts out in a haughty tone, “Show yourself, you cowered!”
Unfortunately for our sly snake, due to its white color, even if it hid well in the shadows, this arrogant imitation of a shark perceived the world in black and white, thus clearly seeing the snake’s white scales even in the darkest corners shine.
A fatal miscalculation.
Without giving it a moment to think, the blood-lusting fish steered confidently towards the wall, its menacing jaw ready to slice through its next victim. With a dull sound and bubbles everywhere, it rammed directly into the stone.
The snake, having waited until the last moment to dodge its attack, gazed upon it in disappointment, having expected more from such a haughty, overgrown creature. But in the end, it was a simple idiot who never needed to use its head to hunt, as it overwhelmed most sea-dwelling creatures with raw strength alone.
Before the bubbles and dust cleared, the inventive snake took the chance and limited the opponent’s movement, manipulating the water around the fins before creating big, long needle-shaped water around it. The needles pierced through the tough skin of the overconfident fish, who screamed out in pain. Pain? It had never felt pain before. Paralyzed by the new sensation, its already scarcely used mind went blank as it slowly bled out.

Because the snake’s skill “Weak Reign Over Water” was still, as the name suggests, weak, the needles weren’t strong enough to finish the proud, in pain, writhing creature, and so it slowly but surely bled to death.
The snake, greatly disappointed by this rather quick-ending fight, waited patiently until the light vanished from the big creature’s eyes. In its last moments, as its vision grew blurry, the now not-so-overconfident fish felt a familiar paralyzing sensation as the sole surviving jellyfish hit its blood-deprived body with one of its red threads in anger and sadness.
But this laughable act of revenge ended shortly after as the snake, mercilessly used its new skill devour, consuming the foolish jelly whole. As the dying shark lookalike, in its last moments, saw the snake’s mouth widen to an unnatural extent, devouring its original prey, it closed its eyes in fear, knowing this would be its fate.
