The snake checked one last time its notifications, as it had devoured quite a bit of in-terror fleeing fish on its way to the abyss.

In the pitch-black waters, different kinds of small creatures and minerals illuminated their surroundings. One of those light-spending beings was a relatively big jellyfish, glowing in a dangerous blood red, warning potential predators of its poison. It let itself be carried by the water currents, its long thread-like tentacles paralyzing every unfortunate creature that would cross its path, entangling them in its red threads before devouring them.
Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
Today was like every other day for the glowing jellyfish; it met up with its relatives, got pestered when it would find a partner, repeated over and over that it swore to stay single, and then left to hunt, which brings us back to the present.
The bioluminescent jellyfish was lamenting if it should move away so it could evade its bothersome relatives and then-
Darkness.

Sharp teeth sliced through the red jelly like a buzz saw, shoving its remains in the big creature’s mouth. This predator, which shared similarities with a shark but was by far bigger than one, dominated this area of the chasm. Its mouth, which not just functioned like a buzz saw but also looked like one as it adorned its lower jaw, gave most fish a shock for life if they survived this unfortunate encounter, that is.
This big fellow was a gruesome one; even its own kin shunned it for the atrocities it committed under the guise of securing food. It took great pleasure in ripping apart the unlucky red jelly, not caring for its poisonous threads.
As it sliced the last bit of life out of the red goo, another unfortunate soul brought the bastards undesirable attention upon itself. The pomegranate juice colored relative of the already consumed red jelly stared in utter shock, screaming out of the top of its imaginary lungs. “You fool! At least you could have given me a grandchild before dying such a pathetic death!”
Shortly after, it joined its child in this “pathetic” death.
The red jellyfish would have done good moving out sooner; it might have had avoided its untimely demise, but alas, it’s far too late for these vain thoughts now.
