Chapter 277

Aiden and the rest of the Blood Dragon Legion had lost count of how many times they had glanced at the skies, when the sky finally became dark. Prince Eragon who had been quietly waiting at a corner, stood up when he saw this.

"Due to the broken cosmic laws in this Hidden Realm, the concept of time is chaotic. Nighttime can last briefly, while sometimes it can last for a very long time. We have to make our move now"

Aiden clenched his jaws as he looked around, however he couldn't find Marie in sight. It had been a long time since she left, yet she had yet to return. This caused Aiden to develop some worries.

"Don't worry, I'll stay back and wait for her to return . You guys should go on ahead" Oge volunteered to stay behind.

"Are you sure?" Aiden was reluctant to leave her behind

He would rather have her by his side as he valued her unnatural scope of knowledge.

As if sensing the reluctance in his gaze, Oge smiled.

"My energy is far from restored. In my current state, I can barely do much, so me staying behind to wait for Marie is the best choice we have"

After weighing the pros and cons, Aiden finally agreed. As such, the Dragon Blood Legion began to descend the mountain range, following the lead of Prince Eragon and his small group of followers.

After watching them vanish out from sight, Oge's fingers softly stroked the hilt of her sheathed saber.

"I sure hope there are enough Feind Beasts nearby" she muttered.

The journey down the mountain range was one filled with silence. Although the group were still far from the Capital City, they did their best to act stealthily as possible. For Red Rose who was a trained Assassin, this was as easy as breathing. Aiden didn't find this difficult as well. Although he wasn't a trained Assassin like Red Rose, he possessed the skill *Monarch Departure*

However the ones who found this difficult were the young warriors in Prince Eragon's group. The Winged Panda Men possessed huge physiques naturally and coupled with their little to no combat knowledge, it took them a long time before they barely managed to learn how to adopt the stealth mode of movement.

The group finally descended the mountain range, arriving before a clearing. There were seven wagons pulled by strange Feind Beast mounts that Aiden found difficult to identify.

"Prince Eragon!" one of the wagon riders nodded at the Winged Panda Man Prince when the group arrived.

"Is everything set?" Prince Eragon asked.

Unlike when he spoke to Aiden, the current Prince Eragon appeared more dignified. Aiden chuckled inwardly. It would seem haughtiness ran in the blood of Nobles from all kinds of races.

However recalling how Xavier never put on airs, Aiden figured there were still some exceptions. Without asking questions, Aiden and the Blood Dragon Legion boarded the wagon. As soon as Aiden got in, he almost puked from the thick bloody smell wafting from the Feind Beast corpses that filled the back of the wagon.

Although a Vampire, Aiden had a strange repulsiveness towards the blood of already dead corpses. It reminded him of the stench of rotten food while he was a human. It wasn't just Aiden though, Rin and Red Rose happened to share in this allergy as well.

"Although you said the ride was going to be uncomfortable, I didn't think it was going to be this terrible. Remind me why we have to endure this sickening travelling condition?" Aiden questioned Prince Eragon with a sly chuckle.

"Your Human race has a distinct energy signature. Although not everyone can sense this, there are going to be Sensory type Warriors posted at the entrance gate. We are going to be instantly busted before we even arrive. However by staying inside this wagon mixed with dead corpses of Feind Beasts, it will be enough to mask your original energy signature. I am sorry but this is the only option we have "

Aiden clicked his tongue after hearing this explaination. He could only 'mingle" with the corpses, endure the stench while praying that the journey was going to be quick.

After Aiden consented, Rin and Red Rose followed suite, each occupying their own separate wagons. With the three Vampires successfully boarding the wagons, their riders whipped the beasts pulling them, causing them to start moving.

"Uhh" a soft groan escaped Marie's lips as her eyes flickered open, taking in the scene before her eyes.

She noticed that she was currently in a large chamber, decorated in a royal style. She tried to get up only to realize that her both wrists were shackled to the wall.

"What the hell is this?" she muttered in shock when she noticed that the shackles wrapped around her wrist seemed to possess a weakening effect on her.

This frightened her. Vampires were known to be Immortal Beings, rivalling the Elf race. They boasted of a tough physique and although they could be killed, that didn't bring much pain to the Adult Vampires, considering the fact that the concept of death was just a mere long sleep to them. Something that they would awaken from after some time pass.

However to Marie's fright and disbelief, the shackles around her wrist possessed a weakening effect on her. She knew that if she struggled too much, she might lose her life, something that she felt was strange considering the shackles were not sharp in any way.

Just as she was musing over the strange shackles, she heard the sound of approaching footsteps as a figure appeared before her. Strangely, it was an Insect humanoid that resembled Bee, flanked by two Winged Panda Men.

"She's the one?" the Insect Humanoid asked one of the Winged Panda Men body guards behind her when she saw Marie.

"Yes, Lady Beelar"

"Hmpfh. Tell me, is she more prettier than I am?" the bee humanoid who was addressed as Lady Beelar asked with hands akimbo.

A funny expression appeared on Marie's face when she sensed the jealousy and competition in the other party's tone.
