N.A.V.I.’S Burning Destiny

N.A.V.I.’S Burning Destiny

As the group pick through the remains of the fort they came across a room filled with glass jar like contraptions etched with runes.

“They're not here,” N.A.V.I. said, flying around in exasperation.

“Then they must have been sent elsewhere,” Bobbi points out.

“What do I do?” N.A.V.I. asks.

“How should I know?” Swaggle says with a shrug as he continues to load the cart with loot.

“These papers look important, let's bring these along as well,” Hooknose says.

“Wait, I'm still in trouble here,” N.A.V.I. says frantically.

Message From Kelvin the Adventurous

Delphi Has Been Revived please return to the dungeon as soon as possible with loot.

“Whoa, I didn’t know he could do that,” Swaggle says with amazement.

“Return, huh, good thing we always know the direction or we would be seriously lost right now,” Bobbi commented.

“Great, bring the loot! Not that we were gonna leave it but I was hoping to wait here for Delphi. Oh well guess we were pulling the cart home,” Hooknose says with a defeated sigh.

“Wait, you're going back to the dungeon. What about my friends?” N.A.V.I. starts in a panic “Hang on, I have an idea, I can go with you,”

“Sure, why not, you're useful and fun,” Swaggle says.

“Thank you, but there's one problem,” N.A.V.I. says sheepishly.

“Of course there is. What is it?” Hooknose asks.

“Well we fairies can’t leave our forests normally without those awful contraptions, it’s just the way it works. But your dungeon can help with that I think,” N.A.V.I. says.

“You think… And how is our great creator going to help?” Bobbi asks, arching her eyebrow skeptically.

“I'm not sure it’s a feeling, a calling, a destiny, if you will,” N.A.V.I. says, changing a multitude of bright colours.”

“Alright we get it. But how do you get from the forest to our dungeon?” Hooknose asks.

“By trusting that you guys are really my friends. My plan, albeit horrible, is for me to have you put me in one of those contraptions at the edge of the forest and let me out inside the dungeon thus trusting my freedom to you.” N.A.V.I. says.

“Wow, that's pretty brave. I would never do this but sure I promise as your friend,” Swaggle says holding up both hands with double thumbs up.

“Great, umm... Hooknose what are you doing?” N.A.V.I. asks.

“I’m trying on this amazing armor that covers everything. And yes I have my reasons. I decided I don’t care if I'm slow, tanky is better and also it's very fancy and I like it. Hooknose says.

A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.

“It doesn't quite fit,” Bobbi says with a smirk.

“The creator can adjust it for me so let’s go,” Hooknose says as he finishes dawning his new armor.

After weeks of grueling travel through the woods and plains pulling a cart with no roads or paths the group finally arrives home.

“Ah, dungeon sweet dungeon,” Swaggle says.

“Umm… I expected more than a hole in a rock, and can I be let out now? N.A.V.I. asks.

“That's just the entrance and we gotta unload all this loot first then we will let you out,” Hooknose says, while unloading a large crate.

“Fine… Oh look, it’s Delphi,” N.A.V.I. says with excitement, bobbing up in down in her jar.

“Oh good, you can help unload all this since you didn’t come back and just waited here,” Bobbi says with a grunt while unloading a table.

“For your information I was told to wait. And I did come out here to help unload. The creator told me you guys were here. Oh and hi N.A.V.I. it’s good to see you again,” Delphi clacks chipperly while walking towards the cart.

“Whew, that was a lot of stuff,” Delphi says as he puts down the massive cauldron.

“And the creator seemed very happy about all those papers,” Swaggle says panting.

“Yeah didn’t he murmur about a new task he would give out because of those? Hooknose asks.

“We'll find out later. Just let N.A.V.I. out. I can't stand any more, “Are you done yet?” It’s driving me crazy,” Bobbi says.

“Well sorry you try being trapped in a jar for weeks and see what it does to your mood. Not to mention seeing all those delicious bunnies cooked grilled and sauteed before my eyes and not getting any for fear of death. Now after this I will feast on all the bunnies. Now please let me out and show me your home,” N.A.V.I. says with a mix of impatience and indignation.

“Sure, I’ll give you the grand tour,” Swaggle says, opening the jar and leading the way into the dungeon.

“I think I better cook something or that crazy ball of light might kill me in my sleep,” Hooknose murmurs to himself.

“Wow this place is amazing! And I was right, I can absorb the ambient magic here just enough to not die, and Hooknose that meal was delicious,” N.A.V.I. says.

“Glad you like it. It’s much easier to cook with proper tools like a stove,” Hooknose says, nodding his head at the cooking area.

“This place is more like an underground mansion than a dungeon. I see why you call it home rather than anything else,” N.A.V.I. says.

“Everyone, I have important news please gather in my new core room on the second floor. Oh wait, who are you little fairy? Kelvin asks.

“Oh umm... me, uh, great creator I’m, um... one second please, I’m N.A.V.I. and I’m here to ask for a favor,” N.A.V.I. says with a nervous stuttering tone.

“I am intrigued since you came with my magnificent creations. So go on, what is it? I will hear you out but I will decide whether or not to grant it based on whether it is interesting enough or not,” Kelvin says.

“Okay… well you see as a fairy I can’t live outside the forest I reside in,” N.A.V.I. says

“Yes, a common and boring problem for wild fairies is that it?” Kelvin asks.

“No, well, part of it my fairy friends were taken and I want to get them back no matter what and kill whoever has them to make them pay,” N.A.V.I. says in a hurry to not get cut off.

“Now that’s interesting, a killer wild fairy, that nature goddess usually gives you lot rules against that, but you don't care if anything it’s more like you should have been born in a dungeon. Born to kill. Which gives me an idea I will grant your request but you will bind yourself to me as Swaggles familiar,” Kelvin says.

“And with that I can find my stolen friends?” N.A.V.I. asks excitedly.

“Yes I will add a quest but you will be stuck to Swaggle not Physically but magically meaning where he goes you go,” Kelvin says.

“Deal! Thank you so much,” N.A.V.I. says.

“Good now I just created a magic circle over there, fly into it and hold still,” Kelvin says, forming an arrow in the air with magic.

“It tickles….hehe…now what,” N.A.V.I. says after flying into a glowing red circle.

“Now I have created a bound link between us that is temporary, that I complete by killing you real quick and reviving you. Kelvin says with an evil chuckle.

“I'm sorry what,” N.A.V.I. says just before she is incinerated by a large column of fire.

“Oh, Swaggle you too. I need to update your monster information with hers,”

“Ah Frack me,” Swaggle says as he is crushed by a large descending column from the ceiling with a loud squishy crunch.
