CH 26: [HEAVEN RETRIBUTION] (2)

While Seijiro and Eleanor were gobsmacked at his appearance, Azrael wasn't having it easy. All his senses screamed at him. He was suffering from an overflow of information. Taste, smell, sound, everything was ten times clearer in his mind.

If it wasn't all, screams of pain of death continuously resounded in his head, as if urging him to kill and destroy everything in the world. He knew that if he ever let go, he would change into a complete monster whose sole goal was killing.

'Shit. Seems like it was really too soon to try the balance breaker.'

Inwardly, he asked,

{How long do I have left?}

{This is an incomplete form. The equilibrium cannot last long. Five minutes max. If you do not stop using the balance breaker before those three minutes, you'll be swallowed by the madness.}

{Eh~!...5 minutes, is it? 3 minutes will be more than enough.}

He smiled even as he bled from his lips.

---

After the surprise wore off, Eleanor immediately gathered all her monsters around her. This was the good move, as, the moment she did so,

*Whoosh*

Three of them immediately had their heart pierced by a spear that seemed to branch off.

"Shit, Seijiro do it."

Seijirou didn't have to be told twice. He immediately stepped out and rushed toward Azrael, his skin taking a metallic color.

The Shinra clan was blessed by the blessed beast BYAKKO, the white tiger, as such, they were all born with control over the metal element. Seijiro sadly wasn't born with this blessing, but he was able to somewhat emulate it.

Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

The moment he reached in close range to Azrael, a series of dazzling martial art moves were thrown one after another. But, no matter what he did, Azrael avoided his attack with minimal movement. As if he was able to predict them.

Then just after he threw a punch toward his head, expecting it to be avoided, he was surprised to see that Azrael didn't avoid, but simply stretched his hand and caught his arm before throwing him in the sky as if he weighed nothing.

Eleanor didn't miss this opportunity.

"FIRE!!!"

She screamed as all her beasts immediately blasted numerous fireballs or acid spray at Azrael. But this wasn't all, Eleanor was still a witch before being a sacred gear user. Three large magic circles appeared behind her as she screamed.

"In the name of medusa. I curse you. BIND!!!"

It all happened in an instant, even as gravity began to slowly reclaim him, Seijiro was sure that Azrael should take some damage, but, as if mocking their naivety, he simply waved his hand and dispelled those spells as if they were mere annoyance before simply shrugging off Eleanor's curse and then, with a fluid movement of his hand, he threw one of his sword that directly pierced Eleanor in the gut and propelled her a few meters away.

Then, as if he had always been waiting for this, he grabbed Seijiro whose fall put him directly above him, and threw him once again, but this time in the direction of a spider that was hiding in shadow and had already launched a spray of acid.

"*Argh*!!!!"

Painful. So painful. As he writhed on the floor while his skin slowly melted the sole thought in his head was how painful it was. The pain was so much that he nearly fainted. Still, he knew that he couldn't do so.

'I must flee. We have no way to beat this monster.'

He did his all to grasp on his slipping consciousness and tried to flee, but a dark chain appeared out of nowhere and bound him, making him unable to move.

Eleanor watched all this with horror while trying to stop the blood from flowing because of the wound caused by the sword in her gut. From start to right now, they weren't even able to make him move from the spot. The difference in power was simply too high.

'I refuse to die.'

She raised her right hand and bit it before spitting out the blood on the ground. Once she did so, a large red magical circle a few meters large appeared under her feet

Now wasn't the time to hold back. She didn't have a balance breaker, but she refused to simply be crushed like a fly on the wall.

"[WALPURGIS NIGHT], Forbidden move: PANDEMONIUM."

This was the forbidden move of her sacred gear. A move that used her own life force to summon hundreds of demons, all compared to mid-class devils. This kind of moves was enough to kill a few high class with no problem,

"AHAHAH!!! YOU BASTARD! DIE!!!"

The sky and the ground were bloated out as monster after monster appeared, all of a different kind. Werewolf, vampire, devils, harpy, and so on. It was truly an awe-inspiring sight. But for Azrael, those things were nothing more than weaklings.

He took a step, then, *BOOM* a deep crater formed at that place as he propelled himself toward those monsters.

What followed was a perfect dance, a dance of death and destruction. Roars and magic filled the sky, giving a beautiful display.

Those monsters were really powerful. The damage they brought to their surroundings was proof enough, sadly, they simply met their worst enemy.

No matter how they attacked, be it from the sky or the ground, he avoided it or shrugged it off, on the other hand, only one hit from his spear or his swords was enough to end them. Sometimes it didn't look like he was piercing them, but rather that they were rushing to their death toward him.

All it took was one minute. In simply one minute, that terrifying horde of monster powerful enough to lay waste in a city was completely exterminated.

Eleanor's legs began to wobble and then she fell on her butt. Her mind simply couldn't proceed with what she saw. She didn't even mind the sword still in her stomach. After all, compared to that pain, the impact of the previous scene was simply too much.

*Step* *Step* *Step*

The sound of nearing steps brought her back and she raised her head. Here, right in front of her, the source of her nightmare stood silently. Instinctively, she knew it. She would die. Weirdly, this thought didn't bring any fear in her. As if all her fear were already exhausted after the previous show of power.

Feebly, she asked,

"How were you able to move like that? Those monsters might have been created by magic, but they were still very powerful and sturdy."

Azrael looked down at this opponent of his, even though he won, he didn't feel like the opponent in front of him was weak, he didn't look down on her, because in the end, she was simply unlucky. Since those would most likely be her last words, he answered,

"You are very strong. Your beasts were also very dangerous. Sadly, the very nature of your sacred gear was your outdoing. My weapons are extremely effective against magic. Your beasts were nothing more than construct made out of magic power. The result was evident."

She let out a bitter smile and said,

"I see."

Afterward, she simply closed her eyes.

Azrael deeply looked at her, engraving every trace of her face in his mind. Then, with a swing of his sword, he beheaded her.

One last thought floated in her head as her consciousness slowly began to fade away,

'I wonder if master will be sad after hearing about my death.'
