DRAFT: Back in black baby

Somewhere south of Jhoto, Arctic Black zone

It was morning on the SS Ketchum

A small room on the SS Ketchum

We find a chubby looking ball of white and purple fluff fast asleep upon a soft pink bed loudly snoring with a bubble of snot coming out from his mouth, bristly unbrushed whiskers drooping out to the side.

Panning further out we can see the beautiful face of a similarly snoring human by the name of Jessica, limbs askew and head handing off the side of the bed.

Further yet and we see a relatively large and circular fish bowl, the fish inside hugging what looks to be some sort of replica plushie TOY of herself, well at least what Sparky (she) would look like were she not a mutated version of Carvanha. She twitches in her sleep, potentially dreaming of the day the she has her own pack of flouderlings surrounding her, safe in the knowledge that her 'school' (the closest things she had to family in her life), maybe she dreams of her old 'school' prior to them getting eaten by the electrical Tynamo's and - Sparkys eyes shoot open as if some external stimulus has woken her.

She stares angrily at..... the computer screen? O_o. She speaks.

To the author *Yeah you punk, i'm looking at you*

Carvahna looks angrily at the author requesting that she stays out of her personal life, what happened in the past must stay in the past, better not to open prior psychological trauma.

Ahem soo.....

We look out past the ship's workers as the first rays of the morning sun shine over the ship, catching sparks from the metallic hull of the gigantic vessel.

The sound of water and ice hitting against the boat as it travels ever onwards, the yips and clicks of a herd of wild Finizen (pokemon that is a dolphin) jump and flip as the ships bow breaks the surface of the water.

Under the waters and far into the distance, what appears to be green scales with red latticework around the edges glides past seemingly heading adjacent to the boat but too far for the naked eye to follow. A great yellow eye is seen to be staring intently at the boat

Back on the boat

The cool frost of the snowflakes settled upon the brow of our Protagonist Adam the psychic Seel.

As he breathes out the little puff ball standing along side his trainer Jess, A squat little Amaura, and a fish in a bowl held firmly in the girls arms. Repairs on the ship are still well underway and the girls have finally been given permission

HELP WITH WRITING the fight part of this part below resulting in the capture of his 3rd pokemon (pokemon already decided)

(Plan here is to set the scene over a frosty landscape - blackest will find another creature to fight that isn't super hard/OP but also not a cake walk. He will need to learn a new skill to avoid certain death which PUSHES him to "Learn" new skills which never would have appeared in the pokemon game/franchise. (Seel learns how to summon out items from his space and how to select weapons/things to fill into this space - eg he finds a wooden stick on the ground with a sharp looking edge and he stores it, when he brings it out to wack a pokemon on the head that was going to kill him with it's sharp jaws Mightyenna which now gives him the skill summon club.

The animal refuses to be tamed however once it is defeated because it was such a hard fight and the creature although not 'mutated' still has a certain level of intelligence and spark of sentience and emotions at not wanting to be eaten or to be defeated - Seel chooses to capture this pokemon instead.

=============================

EXPAND AND EXPLORE THESE IDEAS ON MORALS behing the inhumane "capture" and "storage" of intelligent sentient living animals as compared to mindless beasts. (basically it's okay to capture stupid/mindless pokemon as they don't realise they are slaves.... HOWEVER to wish to 'capture' a Pokemon/person like adam would be deemed as technically slavery and forced indenture or a smart creature. No different from something like elves making you the reader their cub bearer and not paying you a wage and then belting you if you decide to either leave or disobey orders.

Seel has a team of 3 pokemon now and decides to communicate with Jess for the first time honestly about his tactic of trying to conceal his origin from her for fear she would sell him to a medical science company to take him apart. He now feels that he knows her personality and nature enough to know that she would never put him at risk. And no matter what in her mind he is still her pokemon partner. It doesn't matter if he was caught by her or not, what matters is that they look out for each other.

The idea that pokeballs are necessary in which to tame a pokemon goes out the door - this would be a huge pokemon game revelation. imaging being able to capture pokemon without forcing them into a murky black confined space being held in a almost infinite statis if their trainer decides to not interract with them and store them in a 'pc'.

Not jess views pokemon as partners and if she can't have them free from a pokeball and free to move about when they want then she isn't a very good person or trainer is she?
