CHAPTER 3

New faces

I woke up to the smell of a wood fireplace burning and warm light air. I Looked down to see my shirt was gone and in its place white bandages. There were wraps on my face and my arms. Hmm I thought, who would help me out here in the middle of nowhere. I heard the door handle move across the bed I was sitting in. I went to grab my knife in my pocket just in case whoever was coming in this room was bad, but to my surprise my knife was gone. I looked everywhere and there it was with my shirt and they were right next to the door. It was just my luck, I tried to get up but it hurt so bad, I couldn’t get up. The door opened and a girl in a white and blue dress came in with a tray of some sort of food. She looked about 21 at most when she came in and closed the door. When she turned around it must have scared her, because I was sitting up, she dropped all the food she was carrying which kind of scared me because it was pretty loud. She then said “oh you're awake now, I found you walking in the snow. I went to ask you if you were ok but before I could say anything you fell, luckily I managed to catch you.”, “Well thank you so much for helping me”. I replied “ why were you walking in the snow?” she questioned. “Well I was going down a road when I spotted this girl in the front seat of my car-” I stopped myself. It kind of looked like you! I announced “ hmm? ”she asked, confused. “It was you, the girl in the front seat of my car. I remember that dress. I almost hit you!” I told her. I was on the edge of the bed at this point. “I wasn't in your car, I don't even know you.” I was about to talk again but I stepped off the bed and slipped on something she must have dropped a minute ago, when she walked in.
