Third Person's POV;
Nami woke up with a groan, she opened one of her eyes only to close it again. It was way too damn bright. She turned around and found her face inside a pair of soft squishy breasts. Her mind slowly went through the possible causes for this happenstance. Did she get too drunk and fell asleep inside Robin's bed again?
It wouldn't have been the first time. She had never slept with Robin in a sexual way, but it was comforting to fall asleep in the arms of someone you like. Over the months Robin has become somewhat like an older sister, like Noji-chan.
Only that Robin was more calm and eloquent. Which does not mean that her Noji-chan was stupid, just not as cultured as Robin.
But she couldn't remember drinking yesterday. For that, she couldn't remember much of what happened at all. They were in Sabaody...Camie got kidnapped...the auction...the World Noble...the Admiral!
With a start Nami jumped up, all sleepiness vanished when she remembered what happened. A low groan next to her told her that she has woken the other woman. She squinted a bit and tried to get used to the light.
When she did she saw that the other woman was her sister Nojiko. She then remembered yesterday, how she woke up inside a ships medical bay with her sister hugging her. She remembered how she cried and told Nojiko what happened to her crew.
A silent tear escaped her and she had to breathe in deeply to prevent more from coming. Nojiko was by now also more awake and gave her a hug. Her older sister had taken care of her yesterday. Made sure that she ate and helped her take a bath before they went to sleep.
Even comforted her when she woke up in the night from a nightmare.
“Thank you Noji-chan,” whispered Nami silently into the hair of her sister, before hugging her back. A strong hug that was more for the certainty of Nojiko's presence than anything else.
“Always,” replied Nojiko. They hugged for a moment longer, before Nami broke the hug. She looked around and inspected the room for the first time with a processing mind.
It was a beautifully decorated room. Maps, book-filled bookcases and beautifully drawn pictures were decorating the walls. A red soft-looking carpet laid over the perfectly crafted wooden floor. The bed they were sitting in was soft and comfortable.
There was also only one bed, not like her shared room with Robin. Nami wasn't sure if this was better or not. On one side it gave more privacy but the shared room also makes you grow closer.
“Are you good enough to stand up?” Asked Nojiko suddenly. Nami's head swivelled back and she had to look at her sister for a moment to comprehend the question.
“Ah yes,” she said after a pause and climbed out of the bed. Nojiko followed right after and led her to a large closet.
Inside were Nojiko's clothes. “They might not fit perfectly, but they are the only feminine clothes close to your size,” said Nojiko with a small smile while picking clothes out of the dresser. She gave Nami a pile and then took one for her own, before walking over to the opposite of the room, where she opened a door.
“I'll go first,” she said before going inside and closing the door behind her. Nami could hear the sound of running water and soon after the low hum of Nojiko. Her older sister had the habit of singing while showering.
Nami sat back down on the bed and began to think. First thing first, was her own position. She was obviously safe. Nojiko and her friends were the strongest pirates she has ever seen. They have easily beaten the Captains in Enies Lobby.
She also knew that she could stay with them, for some time. Nojiko would make sure that she would have a temporary place amongst them.
The next problem was her friends. They were gone, most likely in similar positions as her, just not as positive. She does not know where or how they are. Zoro was wounded, as was Sanji. But both are tough and she has seen them survive some pretty dangerous things.
The fact that she was not shackled inside a damp dark Marine prison told her that Bartholomew Kuma had no intentions of capturing or killing them. That she was with her sister was proof enough. Her landing on their MOVING ship was too much of a chance to be random.
From that, she could at least assume that her friends were at least not in grave danger. She just hoped that they were also somewhere where they get treatment. She was the least wounded of the Straw Hats when they were separated.
For now, she has to gather information, her friends were anything but subtle. There will be word about them, either that or they will try to get back to the Sunny. Luffy said that they will meet at the Sunny in three days. She will have to ask Lara if it's possible to bring her there.
The door to the bathroom opened again and Nojiko came out. Her hair was still damp, a dial machine was inside her hands, blowing air into her hair. “The bath is free. I'll be at breakfast, just turn left after exiting the room and climb the stairs at the end of the corridor.” Told Nojiko her before she started to get dressed.
“Thanks,” mumbled Nami. She stepped inside the bathroom and found it small, but well equipped. There was no bathtub, only a mirror with a sink, a toilet, a small cabinet for beauty products and a shower.
Still, a personal bath was luxury on a ship. Nami had to share her own with Robin. It got a large bathtub, yes, but it was still shared.
She silently pulled the oversized t-shirt over her head and pulled her panties down, before inspecting herself in the mirror. Her hair was wild and unruly. Her body was littered with small cuts and dark bruises. They were hurting if she came in contact with them, but did not hinder her much. She had suffered worse.
Satisfied that there was nothing too bad with her body she stepped inside the shower and closed the curtains. There was a bottle of shampoo already inside. Nami took a whiff of it and liked the strawberry smell.
Next was the shower. The Sunny had a shower as well. The water was heated by Franky's engines. Cola powered, as he liked to say. She does not know how cola can power anything but wasn't arguing.

This shower was different. It had two shells on the wall, they were dials. One was coloured red, the other blue. She pushed the blue one and cold water began to rain down from the showerhead. The button on the dial got slowly pushed back out and with a small clack was set back into its first position. The water stopped right after.
“So blue gives cold water, then red will give me hot water. Both might give lukewarm water,” she mumbled to herself, before pushing both buttons. The red one slightly further inside than the blue one.
The water came as she thought, a mixture of both, yet slightly warmer than a one to one mix. It felt good and she stood under the warm water for a moment. Just relaxing inside the warm water. The steady drum of the water droplets against the back of her head was strangely calming.
With a clack, the water stopped again and she had to activate the dials again before she started to clean her hair. There were not many knots, Nojiko has had untangled them yesterday already. But it still took some time.
She stepped out of the shower after cleaning her hair and body. The later more careful, still mindful of the fresh bruises. Nami grabbed a towel to dry herself and stepped out of the bath to get her clothes.
Nojiko was already gone, as she had said. However, she has left the dial machine that blows wind on her bed and Nami had every intention of testing that interesting machine. It had only a single dial. She pushed it and hot air was blown out of the dial.
“They must have stored the air inside the dial for later use,” she mused while drying her own hair. The warm wind quickly dried off what was not taken by her towel.
The clothes she got from Nojiko were not her usual clothes. Normally she liked to wear hot pants and a shirt, or a thick coat. Depending on the weather of the island. But Nojiko has given her a pair of panties and a bra, as well as white trousers and a black tank top.
The panties were a good fit, but the bra not so much. Her own breasts were not large enough and the bra hung rather loosely. Which made her a little jealous of her sister's size. She decided to not wear the bra, a badly fitting one was worse than no one. Instead, she decided to take a look at her sisters closet.
Inside she found a jacket that would look good with her trousers. There is no way that she would wear the tank top without a bra. Everyone would easily be able to see her nipples.
She pulled the black jacket with red markings over her tank top and pulled the zip high enough to cover her breasts, before taking a pair of sneakers from Nojiko's shoes.
Satisfied she left Nojiko's room and followed the corridor towards where she could hear people laugh and talk. She climbed the staircase and found herself inside a large bright room with a single large table.
The Kage Pirates were sitting around the table, eating and laughing. Nojiko spotted her standing on the staircase and waved her over.
“Guys, you know my sister Nami, no bad behaviour while she is around, okay?” Addressed Nojiko her friends the moment Nami was close and in the focus of everyone.
It was obvious that Nojiko was addressing the male members of her friends, rather than the females. And even then she was mostly looking at Jonny and Yosaku. The two boys, now men, Nami knew from back in East Blue.
She had not much time studying them at Sabaody, the hectic and chaos were too distracting. They looked nothing like the two scrawny weak boys. Yosaku was a man of considerable size. Close to two meters and with muscles that showed their strength.
Jonny on the other side was lithe, with hidden speed and strength. He looked sharp and dangerous. His hair has grown out and was pulled into a ponytail. The only things she could say that stayed the same were his sunglasses. He was wearing them even inside.
The next member she knew from East Blue was Lia. The long-ear girl was not looking at her, she was starring at her food. Nami couldn't get the feeling that something was wrong with her. She looked tired, unhappy, almost lifeless.
There was no sight of Lara, which Nami found strange.
Then came Josef, their doctor. One she remembers was in high praise by Chopper. The tiny reindeer had praised him numerous times and was very much a fan of him. He hasn't changed much, he still wore a business suit under his lab coat.
Noa, their shipwright sat next to him, he was a nice-looking boy, almost man. Blond short hair, good muscles but not too much and a fit body. Franky was also highly impressed by his skills.
Next was their pet, at least Nami thinks it is a pet. Mrs Chicken Wing was how they call the hen. A strange name for a pet, but who was she to judge. The hen was sitting on the table, like a regular member, and ate from a bowl filled with peas.
Fiara, remembered Nami, was the tiny woman that was a member of the Tontatta people. The small girl has a cheerful personality from what Nami remembered. She is also the technician of the Kage Pirates and was looking strange with her metallic robot arms and strange gear-shaped eye.
And lastly was a person Nami didn't know. A woman, that was clear, but she had never seen a woman with fur and an animal-like face. She looked kinda like a fox, just humanoid.
“Hello, thank you for helping me,” said Nami finally, after a long, kinda awkward, pause. Nojiko gestured for her to sit down and then placed a plate in front of her. The middle of the table was filled with all kinds of foodstuff.
Slowly Nami started to make herself a bread with marmalade. The Kage Pirates had quickly fallen back into their conversation and were mostly ignoring her. Josef was giving her sometimes a concerned glance, but she knew those from Chopper.
The breakfast was good, even with her own mood in the gutter. It wasn't as if she felt unwanted, it's just not the same. Those were her sister's friends, not hers. They were polite and did not ask too many questions, especially not those that would remind her about the fight on Sabaody. A nice gesture that was sadly useless. She couldn't stop thinking about the horror of seeing her friends so beaten and then vanishing.
She would have cried again if Nojiko hadn't placed her hand on her own. The silent comfort gave her. Nami looked up and noticed that most have left the table. The food was taken away, back to the kitchen, and only she, her sister, Josef and Lia were left.
And the first time since Nami has sat down was Lia giving her attention. And Lia wasn't wasting time with pleasantries or meaningless words. She went straight to the point. “We roughly know what happened. The Kuma you have fought, the ones that weren't real, they are called Pacifista. They are a weapon created by the World Government in an attempt to get rid of normal pirates.
The real one, he has eaten a Devil Fruit called paw-paw fruit, it allows him to push things away. He uses this to travel around the world. He can also use it to send people away, which he has done in your case. He must also be able to choose where he sends his victim, you wouldn't be with us otherwise. The chances are too low for that.”
“I didn't know about the Pacifista, but came to the same conclusion with the real Kuma,” agreed Nami. She wouldn't start crying, even if speaking about their fight was hurting.
“I'd like to ask if it would be possible for you to bring me back to Sabaody Archipelago. Luffy has told us to meet up there. My friends will all try to get there as fast as possible,” she then requested with a bow of her head.
“No, at least not now. We are on a mission of our own and can't turn around. It is time-sensitive and needs to be finished within the next few days. Also.., Lara is not with us at the moment and she will need to decide,” answered Lia instantly. Nami had to remind herself that she would not cry. She tried to think about what Lia has said and understood her. They couldn't change course when they had something important to do themselves.
“I understand,” she said in acceptance.
“You are free to stay with us. Either in a guest room or with Nojiko. In return I'd like it if you would teach her a few tips about navigation,” said Lia next. Nami nodded, at least teaching and speaking with her sister would distract her from thinking about her friends.
She was just about to agree when suddenly the door to the deck got thrown open. Noa came inside with a binocular in his hands. “Lia, there is a group of fifteen warships with a direct course at us. They all have the flag of Doflamingo!”
Nami had heard that name before, after the fiasco with Crocodile, she had made sure to learn about the stronger pirates and those who were better not crossed.
Fifteen warships was a number no normal ship could take on on their own. She looked worriedly at Lia, already the suggestion of flight on her lips, when she stopped. The expression Lia had was scary. There was something in her eyes that told Nami that flight was not an option.
