Entry No. 17
(There are smears of what appears to be blood.)
Entry No. 18
After a week of searching, Neira found me near a dying fire in the woods.
I have no recollection of what appears to be at least nine days.
Alongside my memories, four pages are missing.
Entry No. 19
None of us remember entering the town near which she found me. Neira found my track leading away from there but… she says it looked as if I was dragged out rather then walked which in itself is odd since there were no other tracks apart from mine. We decided not to go back into that town. Funny how we can’t even recall its name.
None of the maps I have make sense. I can stomach that, they never were that accurate anyway. What bothers me is complete lack of life around us. No birds, no critters, not even wind. Everything is, dead.
Entry No. 20
Met DEATH along the road. Decided to go the opposite of where she was heading.
This brings me to annoying skill number two, death sight.
I can see dead people.
And some other crap that’s not there. This skill gives me headaches and for the love of all, there is no way to turn it off.
Like for example, there is an enormous black, slimy tentacle blocking way towards the right. Neira doesn’t seem to notice it but… I have no inclination of finding out what that tentacle does there or if it’s real or not. We go left.

We made it out of, whatever that was. Getting through the border of this place was not easy. The closer we were to the edge, the harder it got to leave. It the end I had to order her to carry me out. She labored through every step, crying and begging to me cancel the order. And I probably would, had I not been gagged and tied. I cannot describe the pull of that wretched city.
No more creepy places for a while.
It’s good to feel life again. This forest is full of life in all forms and we’re enjoying it. Except for mosquitos. Those I would do without.
Entry No. 22
We made it to Hoboa village near Lakata. Had to pay off the town’s guard to let us in since I’ve been traveling with a demi. Not a very nice place, folks here are probably the result of Amish people using Mein Kampf instead of Holly Bible…
Made Neira wear the slave gear. If this place is of any indication of what we might find in Lakata then… Thankfully Neira doesn’t bitch about the slave gear.
Without a better alternative, we’ll be staying here for a while.
I need to rest. We both need to rest.
I bought her a double serving of Paffari sweets. Sort of ice-cream with catnip for demi.
She earned it.

Swapped the basic alchemy book for “Potion for every day”.
The previous owner of this book scratched out the “t” and substituted it for an “s”. Sadly, I must agree. The quality of this book is subpar to anything I have already read. Thankfully the comments and warnings left on margins by many previous owners of this book (some not exactly lucky), make up for the lacking content.
My skill Basic Potion Making leveled up to advance potion making. Also as a side effect of reading this book I have earned Master poison making skill.

I’ve meet a glass blower apprentice at the pub. What a sorry sob.
Bought six crates of terrible glassware. Most of it is junk. Some is usable.
Spend the night washing and sorting bottles. As a result, we got four crates of something usable.
Entry No. 25
Today I have made my first batch of healing potions. Vomit colored, reeking slush with consistency of goo. You’d be surprised how fast I found volunteers to test it.
One eyed, four fingers, five tooth Bob drank the virgin potion for a copper and a half. He’s still one eyed, four fingers, five tooth Bob but he assures me his lumbago got cured.
Small sized, low grade, apprentice made health potion is sold for ten gold and can recover 500 HP and cancel some abnormal statuses. Mine appear as “homebrew” under analyze skill, can recover from 200 up to 300 HP and have a chance to remove one abnormal status.
Depending on the size we sold them for anything in between ten silvers and one gold.
Sold out in an hour.
Entry No. 26
A guild approached me with an order. They will supply me with parts and bottles and I am to make them 100 000 potions. We also agreed to a per potion commission fee dependent upon the potion quality. Due to some circumstances, there appears to be a shortage of healing potions in the area.
As an owner of the item box, I can leverage the combining mechanism of the inventory. Meaning, I can pack my inventory with random junk, then apply a stored recipe to it and if all the necessary parts are there, the item is made. The produced item is only about one third less powerful then the item made by hand but this way I can make much larger quantities.
Packing up the supplied items took the two of us three days.

There exists no rose without thorns. I’ve been bedridden for a whole week while cooking potions. As much as easy the process is, it puts significant strain upon my body.
High Con saved the day.
DEATH dropped by to say hi. We spend the evening watching my HP jump between ten and five hundred HP as the itembox cooked the potions.
Entry No. 28
My potion making skill wont level any higher. I need to make a more difficult potion to raise it.
Anyway, I have made 70 000 low grade health potions, 20 000 medium grade health potions, 9 500 high grade health potions, 490 elixirs low grade, 9 elixirs medium grade and one elixir high grade.
Bases on the quality I received 5 gold per low grade potion, 50 gold per medium grade, 200 gold per high grade potion. As for the elixirs, 1000 gold per low grade, 10 000 per medium and one million gold for the high-grade elixir.
Total profit, 4 830 000 gold. Money lover title went into overdrive.

Paid two mill for an access to a Kunfayo temple library. The bored monk gave me two hours and locked the doors behind him. Managed to memorize ten bookshelves before they kicked me out. Will have something to read later. Now I need a nap.
Entry No. 30
Neira’s giving me some subtle signs that I’ve been neglecting her.
I don’t think I will get any sleep tonight.
Entry No. 31
My back is killing me and… I think I’m going to need stiches or whatever the equivalent this world can offer.
She needs gloves. Heavy duty leather.
That or I can start sleeping in full plate.
Entry No. 32
I’ve upgraded her gear, we’re ready for some more grinding and personally I am sick of this village.
Entry No. 33
There is something magical in watching a woman put on kinky clothing. Her new armor is rather form fitting and the way she brushes out her hair after buckling that muzzle. However it sounds, demi look as if they were made to wear a muzzle. It makes them look, oddly appealing.
She’d probably try to kill me if I said that out laud.
Her attack stats got even scarier with new gear and we are still talking about 10% status penalty.
Every time I get to think that somewhere out there are beasts or people much stronger than her it gives me nightmares.
Entry No. 34
We found a nice farming spot en route Lakata. There is a large population of goblins here and quite an abundance of wolf-things running around.
Entry No. 35
Analyze is calling Wrogs the Wolf-things with a horn on their heads. I can’t see their levels and it takes two of her hits to finish one. They offer considerable exp and quite good materials. I might make something out of their hide.
I wish I had chosen the books more carefully. Most of what I got is advance stuff and kind of useless without the understanding of basics.
On the upside, I found a set of exercises to improve my buffer time.
Entry No. 36
Off to Lakata, the city of endless rain.
