The profound new power available to Ryu surpasses his wildest imagination. This was because the vast difference between wielding Qi from a Qi reservoir and a Qi essence is like comparing a fruit knife to a sword. No matter how refined the former is, it’ll still never match up to a real weapon.
He was traversing hundreds of meters with each step effortlessly. It looked as if Ryu was casually taking a stroll but the background behind him was a huge blur. His sensitive aura can now cover five kilometer without any skills to enhance it. With a thought, he could strike down a King Domain cultivator with all four of his essences working in sync. If he wanted to, he could take on multiple Emperor Domain experts with ease.
Just as Ryu was enjoying a simple stretch, a concerned voice shouted out. “Pft which annoying fellow? We can’t let them find you yet!”
A ghastly skeletal key appeared out of nowhere and into Ryu’s hand. As if guided by some unseen force, the key stabbed downwards into the earth. This all happened so fast that Ryu had no time to process it. Cold and unfamiliar eerie feeling enveloped Ryu. It felt as if he disintegrated into a million particles but reformed right away. The feeling was not painful but unpleasant, the lack of control would scare any expert. Ryu disappeared the moment the key touched the ground. No flashy light, no explosion or any type of forensic evidence was left. Ryu just vanished in thin air.
“Why can’t I find this person… is he not human? Not a mortal?” A fuming voice could be heard in a grand chamber filled with priceless treasures. Shooting stars flew around in the background. Some of these exotic items were as large as planets. Each were magically encased by unknown forces, only to be released in times of war. These are upper tier heavenly items wielded by the Gods themselves after all.
“Why are there four blasphemous locations in our land that I can’t see?”
“Who could have built something so impious in the new world, even this sacred all-seeing mirror can’t see what’s going on inside.” Goddess Ying mused with frustration as she stared at a round blank location surrounded by million specks of dots. She was in front of an enormous mirror that is taller than any mortal mountains. Most likely the dots represented cultivators on the Heaven Continent. There were more than half the dots on the whole continent gathered outside of one place! With a wave of her hand, the dots on the map changed colors and brightness.
Giant statue-knights that have stood still for innumerable millenniums heard the gasps from their all-powerful master. These servants of hers finally gave in to their curiosity moved for the first time in who knows how long. They couldn’t help but gasp when the change occurred on the map. Previously the mirror showed the cultivation levels, the higher one’s cultivation the brighter their dot will glow. Now the mirror is showing their luck and talent, unlike before the dots around the grey space shined with much more vigor.
“As I suspected, there is an unnatural convergence of humans… I wonder why?” Although her words were spoken with caution, her expression was that of amusement.
“Is this another God’s experiment? Sacrificing all those humans to create a toy?” Goddess Ying took a guess. Although Gods should not even be interested in humans, let alone bother interact with them, there are always some exceptions.
“That can’t be, Gods are forbidden from interfering with the lower plane of existence. Especially after that incident a while back with the Goddess of Fate…” One of the guards replied. However deep down she knew that those other old scheming gods must have found a way to interfere from behind the scenes. Just like humans, the calculative politics and shrewd actions behind the peaceful surface runs deep. There are still some gods who only care about themselves and their benefits.
“That’s not completely true… but in this case I don’t think it’s a God that’s pulling the strings. Probably a very misguided human is about to do something incredibly stupid. Even though I didn’t find that person, I found something else interesting.” Goddess Ying gave a light chuckle as she gave one final wave to the gigantic mirror. The mirror tried one last time to zoom in at a certain location but failed. The guards followed their master silently as she strolled our her celestial resident, lost in her thoughts. Knowing Goddess Ying’s temperament, it seems like she was going to enjoy herself with this fiasco.
“What is her highness doing with the Divine Instrument may I ask.” A booming voice appeared. A flash of golden light appeared beside the three giant humanoids figures beside the equally giant mirror.
“Nothing much, his holiness put me in charge in his absence so I thought I should take a more hands-on approach on management. Is there a problem War God Braham?” Goddess Ying replied with annoyance as her thoughts were disturbed.
“Not at all. It’s just peculiar that you chose…”
“Let’s drop the act, I know you don’t trust me since I’m not a pure God. However are you just going to accept the situation as is? There’s something he’s not telling us.” Ying said with a small devious smile. Her face inched close to War God’s serrated face before disappearing herself. “Think about it. There’s something he is hiding from us ever since that incident…”
The War God’s otherworldly expression did not change as he looked at the mirror that still blinking with specks of dots. Whether it was on purpose or not, a miniscule twinkle appeared in his ruby eyes.
[Note: Goddess Ying was the one that noticed Ryu ripped apart space when he fought the bandits]
The pair of purples eyes that stalked Ryu’s departing figure long after he left finally blinked and an ordinary crow came out from the shadows. The crow was ordinary in every way except that a circle with a star was faintly tattooed onto its forehead.
“Prince Devia what do you think?” A cold chilling voice that would give most the goose bumps came from a location within the Thousand Swords Graveyard. In front of him was 77 projections of views from the outside. Exactly the number of entrances for the Thousand Swords Graveyard. The screens formed by dark cubes were intricately weaved with high level Enchantment!
“A flashy display of power, nothing much more. Perhaps he has the blood of a divine beast. I’m much more interested in the one who commands the six winged dragon, that’s not something I can do… yet.” An indifferent voice replied. “Grab him when you find him anyways.”
[The reason Ryu’s incident didn’t get the attention of Sector Zero member Kiriyu was because five other major incident was happening at other entrances. Chapter 79]
“Yes my prince.” The person projecting the screens replied as he took one last look at his lord before vanishing. If Ryu was there, he would be surprised. Not because the prince’s shocking real form was something unseen on this continent but by what he was playing around with in his hand. It was an item that Ryu also has in his possession.
The ordinary crow that observed Ryu as he formed his essences suddenly started glowing. Around it, multiple circular symbols appeared and countless black particles shot out of it. The black particles were no larger than one of its feathers but before long, it grew almost hundred times bigger than its original size.

With a loud cry, the grotesque vulture-like monster shot towards Ryu’s direction as if a bird is going after its morning meal. The speed at which it did so was even faster than Ryu’s original speed! It turns out… this was a Supreme Domain beast, how powerful was the one that could hack past the Enchantments over the Thousand Swords Graveyard?
However after an hour of search, it seemed like the raging Supreme Domain beast could not find Ryu. The mastermind controlling the beast frowned as he pondered on where Ryu could have went. Unknown to him, the nameless sword had sensed Goddess Ying’s interference and sent Ryu to a sub-dimension to avoid detection.
[Note: Prince Devia was first briefly mentioned in chapter 62. He is from the Hades Sect of the Dark Continent.]
“Where am I?” Ryu found himself in a beautiful garden. Beside him was a tropical palm tree that looked inviting to sleep on. The vegetation grew all around Ryu, not only that there were ancient but gorgeous walls spanning everywhere. It took Ryu a second to realize that a familiar restriction was pressing against him. A high level Enchantment was pushing his powers down to that of peak Heaven Domain. The Drunken Master Du-Bai did this when he sparred and trained Ryu so Ryu immediately realized what was happening..
Without pondering too much, Ryu pressed his hands on the ground below and spread his senses as far as possible. In an instant he had a clear understanding of everything within ten kilometers around him. With his cultivation suppressed to the Heaven Domain, this was only possible due to the nature of the Shaman Arts he was taught.
This place was an exotic terrace based on all the organic life forms Ryu detected. The walls themselves seemed to stretch everywhere randomly, like a maze! There were humans all around, the nearest was two kilometers away. They were separated by countless walls though.
“The perverted old man brought me to these boring places long ago. This looks like a level one playground. You have to beat one of the bosses to get out of here. This whole place is monitored from above though, don’t embarrass yourself.” The diamond blade appeared randomly besides him. It was in a fairly good mood.
Ryu felt slightly annoyed that she acted as she pleased without informing him. Of course she did it to avoid Goddess Ying’s divine sense but she didn’t bother telling him. As for Ryu, since she pretty much saved his life just before so he decided not to mention it. However now that it mentioned level one, Ryu instantly remembered the Mythical Zones of the Heaven Continents. There was supposedly four and extremely hard to clear. In fact no one knows if any of the four had been completely cleared. The Fiend Tower and the Endless Labyrinth were the two publically known ones. The Thousand Swords Graveyard and the mountains of Shaolin and Wudang supposedly contained the last two.
“What should I call you?” Ryu asked again as he remembered not to look up yet. It was inconvenient to address her without a name. Now that Ryu had ascertained that at least within ten kilometers, everyone else was suppressed to the Heaven Domain, he was pretty much safe.
“I don’t know, I don’t have a name. Anything.” She replied cheerfully. The tomes also reappeared behind Ryu. Ryu had a feeling that once he get powerful enough, the tomes would be able to talk as well. Or at least he hoped they would. One day Ryu will get around asking the sword and the tomes about their true origins.
“I’ll call you Eni then.” Ryu said. Since any and eni sounds the same, why not.
“Eni? Eni… hmm I like it!” She chirped. Whoosh, the next moment the diamond sword appeared in Ryu’s hand. The sword which looks heavy and more like a decoration felt surprisingly light in his hand.
A blood curdling scream could be heard suddenly and Ryu finally started to pay more attention to his surroundings. With a thought, he asked the tomes to give him another set of clothes to disguise himself. The last thing he needs now is to be discovered and chased.
“I can do that.” Ryu’s felt his clothes transform into a slender set of armor on him. Even his long hair changed color. The armor had extreme clarity and was colorless. Although the armor looked heavy, it was slim and felt extremely light on Ryu. A light helm snuggly hugged his head. It was as if the sword created a set of armor to complement its own looks, now Ryu looked like he was encased in diamonds.
Another thing Ryu started to realize is that the blade itself felt connected to his original Qi reservoir similarly to how the Infinity Tomes are connected to his extra Qi reservoirs. The blade just drew power from his first Qi reservoir to materialize the set of armor. It was as if their lives are connected, if one perished then the other will do so too. However because of this Ryu felt that the mysterious blade, now called Eni, had an unfathomably strong roots and powers that could make him many times more formidable.
“What? You wanted a disguise. The perverted old man fought a formidable foreign person in the past, I think it suits you.” Eni replied. The beautiful diamond blade was still in his hand, Ryu could see his reflection. Because his hair was dyed blond, he felt like he looked a bit similar to Leonardo who had mixed blood from the great continent of Britannica. As for the armor, Ryu had never seen a real knight so he didn’t know that the suit he has on is slightly different. Ryu wondered what other abilities the sword contained. The Infinity Tomes have god-like abilities but they never really manifested physically.
The blood curdling screams continued as Ryu pinpointed their locations. Most were all from the sky! Was there something formidable preying in the air? One particular scream was a cry for help however and it was close to where Ryu was.
As Ryu slowly walked slowly towards the source of that particular cry, a tall stone statue of a man close to the walls started to come alive. The statue wielded the power of a Heaven Domain expert as well. It had a long stone spear in its hands which it used to stab fiercely at Ryu. The strength it used could throw the spear for tens of kilometers.
This type of ordinary attack might have killed most Heaven Domain cultivators but it is a joke in front of Ryu. He who contained a repository of countless skills and four Qi reservoirs had hundreds of ways to avoid this attack. With a simple chop with the blade Eni, the statue was split in half like butter. Ryu was only testing out the blade and was fairly impressed.
Since Ryu heard that someone is “watching”, he didn’t dare reveal his true strength. The Infinity Tomes quickly found the Transcendent Knight Spirit manual that was part of Alexis’s collection. This manual which was referenced by Ryu during his secluded training in the Forbidden Forest was not used much since it focused on the Soul Weapon. Now that Ryu’s mysterious new blade functioned similarly to a Soul Weapon and also happens to be the knights favorite weapon, a sword, Ryu can finally use some of its skills. Alexis was a Sovereign Domain expert so the skills he stole were not ordinary. This Transcendent Knight Spirit manual was classified as a rank 8-9 skill!
[Note: Skill was first mentioned in Chapter 12]
