The Thousand Swords Graveyard is an enigmatic place that is larger than any establishments in all five provinces of the Heaven Continent. Although its physical size is larger than any capitals, the land within the Thousand Swords Graveyard is actually even vaster than what any maps suggest. This is mainly due to the fact that countless unrivaled Enchantments are laid throughout the invincible swordsman’s territory. The Thousand Swords Graveyard is divided into seven sectors, each sector is housed within another sector. Right now in an area that’s even beyond Sector One, a majestic pagoda that stood on a lone peak of a colossal mountain that pieced into the heavens shook violently. A moment later a portion of its stunning walls collapsed and a menacingly man with long hair tied and a scar down his right eye flew out.
Holding a voice crystal in his hand, he established communication with Sector Seven. Sector Seven was the outer most sector that contained the seventy-seven entrances into the Thousand Swords Graveyard. Although this person had the ability to monitor the situation just outside and within the Thousand Swords Graveyard, he could only look at a few screens at a time. There’s millions of recordings that get sent towards the wall of crystals that he controls. Usually he picks a recording with a high power output to look at, that was how he noticed Zenos. On top of that, the recordings are half an hour behind real time!
He had no idea which entrance housed the disturbance that resonated with the imperious item chained deep within the heart of the Thousand Swords Graveyard. Right now that sacred item imprisoned by an endless sea of chains was reacting to something or someone outside which disrupted all the recordings that were coming in. The recipient at the other end of the voice crystal had a surprised voice when he noticed who was the calling him.
“Disturbances … honorable Kiriyu sir?” A shaky voice could be heard. He recognized the connection on the voice crystal, it was a member of Sector Zero! Sector one is the one that reign supreme above all other sectors. The most prominent branches of the Miyamoto clan each have their own sector to rule over. Each Sector is ranked by numbers, one being the highest. Then there is Sector Zero. Unlike the other seven sector, they don’t have an astonishing amount of land nor members. They are not even from a single branch. Each one of the Sector Zero members are all true disciples of the legendary swordsman!
The moment they are accepted into Sector Zero, they belong to a completely different entity. Common clan affairs are beneath them and what they do became completely enigmatic. One thing is for sure, their strength is in another league compared to the rest of the clan. Only top ranking members within the clan even knows they exist, the outside world has no idea who they are. The number of members in Sector Zero are less than the number of fingers one has.
“Yes you buffoon. Tell me any noteworthy incident happening right now! Where is that fool Liou Feng?” The holy figure shouted at him. Liou Feng was the leader of Sector Seven of the Thousand Swords Graveyard, this sector is the one that connects to the outside entrances. A sector leader usually commends high respect within the clan, only a member of Sector Zero can belittle them like this.
“Sector Leader is out right now to deal with some unruly guests… as for incidents, there’s five major problems right now that our guards can’t handle…”
“Five incidents…? Tell me now!” Inside he was thinking how could five major incidents occur at the same time during the thirty minute delay of the secret surveillance of the Thousand Swords Graveyard. The last incident he observed was Zeno’s killing Fua and his henchmen which was a minor issue. Each Sector Zero members have their own duties to perform, Kiriyu here was to monitor everything within the clan’s territory.
“One of the two largest problem right now is that a group showing up last minute are claiming to be the remnants of the Chu Province. Those waiting previously did not take the news too well and are engaging in an all-out battle at entrance #27. Not only do they have experts in the Supreme Domain, their numbers are over half a million!” The voice at the other end exclaimed.
Over half a million in members and experts in the Supreme Domain? Kiriyu couldn’t help but lightly gasp. Almost all experts in the Emperor Domain and above are known throughout the land. This is because most cultivators can’t cross over from King Domain to Emperor Domain due to the difficulty of forming an essence! Once an essence is formed, the quality of Qi can’t be compared to before at all. In reality the only difference between Emperor Domain, the Supreme Domain and the Sovereign Domain is not the depth of the cultivation like the previous domains. It is the specializations that can be formed! Each specialization formed while having an essence is much grander and infinitely more superior than specializations formed in the past without an essence. In fact most experts in Emperor Domain or higher are named after their special moves. One such example is the Spear Fiend that Ryu briefly fought. The Spear Fiend had a dark demonic aura and his spear grew in size as the battle dragged on.
Then there’s the fact that this group is claiming to be the Chu Empire survivors. The Chu Empire was one of the major powers on the continent long ago. In the past they were rumored to have been extinguished by the forces of the Forbidden Forest when its ruler decided to invade the sacred forest for a rumored sacred treasure that could increase longevity indefinitely. Back then the Chu Empire was stronger than the five other provinces which remains till today, their complete demise overnight was unexpected. This was what gave birth to the legend of the Forbidden Forest, no matter which expert or forces on the land, no one would enter with confidence due to that incident.
“The other most troublesome issue is that an equally upsetting group appeared. Their numbers are much smaller than the group calming to be from the Chu Empire of the past but each one of them are ultimate experts. Our preliminary reports say there’s around a hundred members only! The guests at entrance #9 seemed to have all been overwhelmed by that mysterious group and have started leaving!”
What? Before the prestigious member of Sector Zero that monitored all affairs within the clan could digest the first piece of news, another shocking one hit him. Each entrance have roughly a million cultivators, they were the cream of the crops of all sects, clans, guilds, and such. How could a group of a hundred overwhelm the rest?
“Fine… what else?” He said solemnly into the voice crystal. To reach any of the entrance would take him a considerable amount of time and he can’t even decide between the first two choices.
“At entrance #65, there’s an appearance of what looks like a legendary dragon. One of the guards stationed at that entrance said it’s a black dragon with six wings. Although there’s no conflicts happening right now, everyone is terrified at that location. The guards are unsure if they should lower the barrier and allow such a beast in at the scheduled time.”
A dragon was a noble mythical creature that can be said to be at the pinnacle of all living creatures. Whether it’s their unmatched strength or peerless intelligence, there are few creatures that could match it. Only other legendary creatures can hold a candle to their might. According to myths, in the past fabled creatures such as dragons, phoenixes and unicorns were plentiful and lived in harmony with humans but for some unknown reasons they disappeared one day. Only impure descendants that carry traces of their noble blood remain. However even if they contained only a fraction of their dragon lineage, dragons nowadays are still extremely powerful. The moment they are born, they are already over level 100. This means they skipped the first Rebirth that only one out of millions of cultivators reach.

“This is…” Kiriyu was speechless. A dragon was completely outside of his expectations. Knowing that this special event hosted by the Thousand Swords Graveyard would attract more experts than before in the past, he still did not expect a full blown dragon and its owner to show up. Only the strongest continents such as Britannica, the Magic Continent, the Sky Continent and the Dark Continent are known to tame such beasts currently. In the long distant past the Heaven Continent did have supreme masters capable of taming such beasts but it’s been so long that most believe it’s just a rumor.
However there was no way they could have gotten past the Silver Tier Enchantment that banishes anyone above level 100. The Silver Tier Enchantment is something that only legendary Enchanters of the past is capable of casting. It is only behind Gold Tier Enchantment which is said to be the highest tier of Enchantment possible. A secret that only a few know is that the Silver Tier Enchantment that protects the whole continent is managed jointly by Shaolin and Wudang Sect. There was no way they would let a dangerous entity in. This brings up the question, was this dragon native to the Heaven Continent? If so, where did it come from?
[There is a Silver Tier Enchantment around Heaven Continent that will kill any beings over level 99. This was the reason why Zenos, prince from the Blood Clan, only came with blood clones with low cultivations of a servant and his sister. End of Chapter 61. ]
Gritting his teeth, Kiriyu ask for the details regarding the other two disturbances. He is desperate to find the source that stimulated the sacred item within the Thousand Swords Graveyard but he could not have imagined that there are five potential sources.
“Sir the remaining two are unexpected guests from other continents. A group of delegates from the Frozen Continent currently resides at entrance #2. One of the five princesses from the royal family of that continent is present. The vice-leader of Sector Six is currently on his way to welcome them. It seems like they have a request to make. As for the other group, they are from the Warring Continent! Their presence alone is frightening all the other guests at entrance #71. Even our own guards are too scared to approach them.”
“Oh?” Kiriyu had noticed the princess from the Frozen Continent from earlier recordings. He didn’t know what their purpose here is though. Since the Frozen Continent is generally thought to be the second weakest continent in the world, Kiriyu didn’t worry about them at all. The Warring Continent is closer to the stronger continents though, this raises a big problem. The Warring Continent is always at war internally as the name suggests, it was a part of their culture. They raid and kill for sport. Some speculate that if they were united, they would become as formidable as Britannica.
“If only I could consult master…I’ll message the others about this then.” Kiriyu muttered to himself. By others he meant other true disciples of the clan. He closed the connection to his call and pondered for a moment to see where he should head to. Then without a warning, he flew towards one of the five entrances with such speed that’s rarely seen in the Heaven Continent. A sonic boom was formed as he zapped through the sky, leaving behind a trail of whirlwinds. He was determined to obtain the source that caused a reaction to their clan’s biggest secret.
Never could he have imagined that none of the five shocking incidents described to him was the cause. Because of these five incidents, the commotion regarding Ryu was left unnoticed. Only a few low members of the clan was dealing with it.
Back to where Ryu was presently, multiple experts are currently closing in on him. He was still stationary with basic elements flowing around him. Each expert were renowned and had their own reasons for wanting Ryu. Mostly it was due to Ryu’s display of power and his ability to produce pure elements. Even if Ryu were to somehow escape the clutches of his current assailants, other experts in Emperor and Supreme Domain were patiently waiting on the side. They were more cautious but nonetheless interested in Ryu.
The green lightning user was known as the Lightning Devil from the Yasha Empire, he was a Supreme Domain expert that had been stuck for thousands of years in his cultivation. Due to his specialization in electricity, he has to continue training with lightning to progress. However due to the low number of lightning users, he couldn’t find anyone more knowledgeable than himself. Then he saw Ryu releasing all types of electricity from his body when he entered an unconscious primal state. Ryu was releasing more types than he could, Ryu was his only hope of advancing!
Similarly the sand user and ice user saw Ryu’s summoning and mastery over water and earth. Both wanted to steal him and dissect him apart for the secret beside his elemental mastery. The ice and metal he created was of the purest quality that even they can’t perform. The magicians already saw Ryu activating an antique tablet from the Ancient Warring Era, they have their own reasons for capturing him. Wu-Ming was Ryu’s friend and naturally harbored no ill intentions towards Ryu. Lastly there is the unknown assailant in that horrifying tornado of blood charging at Ryu. The user was no other than the prince of the Blood Clan, Zenos. Unexpectedly he had the same mindset as Wu-Ming. Ryu helped him out by accident at the market place and now he’s returning the favor.
The ice user was a member of the top ice sect on the Continent. She was known as the Emotionless Witch due to her brutal killing methods. Ignoring the barrier erected by the Miyamoto Clan guards and the other pursuers, she reached forward with her hand and attempted to synchronize with the water within Ryu’s body. This ability was what made her infamous, she can control the water within a person’s body and make them die a miserable death!
“Hmph!” Zenos might be the young heir to the blood clan but he was in the Sovereign Domain! He noticed what the ice user was attempting to do and with a thought, he dispelled it and used a similar skill on her instead. His skill was similar to hers except that he controls blood itself and not just water.
The Emotionless Witch instantly sensed something was wrong and felt her blood raging within her veins. She quickly stopped and dashed backwards, using all the Qi within herself to stabilize her body. Zenos smirked. Since he joined the fray last, he was the farthest away from them all. Or else she would have imploded from within when he messed with her blood internally.
The closest pursuers right now were the magicians, their spell had formed a yellow cylinder that is descending upon Ryu. Wu-Ming was right behind the Lightning Devil, both of them knew that only they were in position to stop that spell. Although neither of them knew magic, they could roughly guess that spell was meant to take Ryu away. Both of them yelled out and unleashed their might to intercept the spell. Wu-Ming struck out with a palm and a golden hue shot forth in the shape of a lion’s claw, clashing against the spell. The lightning Devil clasped both of his hands together and then swung them open, a bolt of teal lightning formed in front of his chest and flew towards the spell as well.
During this time Ryu still remained stationary. His eyes were brimming with a blinding light but he was still unconscious. While Wu-Ming and the Lightning Devil fended off the spell that would have transported him away, a hand appeared from the ground and grasped his ankle. This belonged to the sand user that seemingly gave up on the race. Actually the figure everyone saw earlier was just a sand clone and his real body was traveling from underground! He snickered to himself as he started to pull Ryu underground, he was confident that no one could match his speed when it was beneath the earth!
