After taking a short nap, Chris could feel a tickling sensation on his nose, as if a couple of feathers were touching the tip of his nose.
He slowly opened his eyes, but the first thing he noticed was that there was something warm and soft cuddling him like a teddy bear.
That was Hinata. They had shared the same bed all night, but they only snuggled with each other and that was pretty much it.
Chris was surprised, but then he started recollecting his thoughts on what happened yesterday. He felt happy that Hinata felt that way for him, but somehow felt bad for Naruto getting cockblocked by his best friend and sensei.
‘Oh well, not my fault for being too awesome.’ He snickered at this thought. At this point, screw the original script.
(I am pretty sure that the original script was screwed WAY before.)
Hinata’s sleeping face looked pleasant to look at, almost as if she was hypnotizing him to fall asleep once more.
He couldn’t help but gently touch her face, it was soft, warm, and he found it fun. She did react to his touch but not enough to wake up.
Chris was having a fun time teasing her in her sleep. Honestly, this was the best moment since he got here.
After teasing her face for a while, he stopped and got out of bed without waking her up.
He quickly took a shower, changed into his clothes that he stored into his storage space, and exited the shower room.
Upon exiting the shower room, he saw Hinata staring at him with a flushed face.
Chris’s face flushed too. It was a bit awkward for them to look at each other after such a thing happened last night.
Chris even proposed to Hinata last night. They might know each other now, and even her guardians gave Chris permission to take her hand in marriage, but it was still awkward.
‘Man, why did I say all those words. Must be because I was so tired last night.’ He thought.
“Chris… I just want to be clear that last night… wasn’t a dream. Was it a dream?” She asked hesitantly.
Last night it felt too good to be true for her. It felt like a dream, but was really afraid that it was really and dream and not real.
That was why she wanted to confirm it.
Chris smiled. He walked up to her slowly and kissed her right in her mouth.
Hinata tensed up, as if a jolt of electricity shot up her body. But she was soon lost in complete heaven.
“Does that confirm that it wasn’t a dream?” He teasingly said.
Hinata could not even say anything. She only rested her head on his chest as she hugged him tightly like a Koala.
“I am so happy right now.” She said in a joyous tone.
“Me too.”
Then, the door opened abruptly. Kat and TenTen finally entered the room, but their appearances were all messed up.
They looked like they didn’t sleep one bit, and only did cardio for 10 hours straight.
TenTen and Kat didn’t even bother looking and Hinata and Chris, they only launched themselves on Tsubaki’s bed and slept.
It didn’t even take them 5 seconds before they started snorting uncontrollably.
What happened to them that made them fall asleep that fast. Not even Guy’s training could pull out such results with his harsh training.
“I’m gonna take a shower.” Hinata thought that she avoided being in an embarrassing position. She is not ready yet to tell anyone about their new relationship.
She kissed Chris one more time before heading into the showers.
“There they are. I was looking for them.” Tsubaki entered her room without making a sound.
“What happened to them last night?” Asked Chris.
“I only gave them an 8 hour lecture about the… birds and bees.”
Chris looked at her weirdly.
‘8 hours?! Did Tsubaki also mention them EVERYTHING there was to sex? Including positions, toys, plays, and etc? Just how much details do you have to give 2 kids?’ He thought.
Even his own mother would rarely give him a 2-hour lecture, and he can barely stand lectures.
That is the one thing he cannot understand about women, among various other things.
“Remind me to give you a lecture too.” Tsubaki said as she started changing her clothes.
Despite her not getting a wink of sleep last night, she looked as cool as a cucumber.
At that moment, Fred, the one who is about to be isekai’d by Door-kun soon, came to her room running.
Chris looked at Fred, and couldn’t help but wonder why he looked so familiar.
“Yes, Fred?”
“I have some bad news.”
“If you have news then don’t stop between the lines, Fred.”
“Sorry, I just need to get some breath… We have the results on how long Wolf Territory’s energy storage is gonna last.” He pulled out some important documents about a weird case.
“I don’t see how that’s bad news?” Asked Tsubaki.
“It’s gonna take a minimum of 55 years for Fan’s main energy source to completely drain out.”
There was a moment of silence.
Tsubaki ordered last night to gather intel on Fan, and one of those cases was to see how much energy his kingdom still had.
Fan has collected energy from people with chakra over the years. It is only sane for him to store it somewhere so it doesn’t go to waste.
However, if they plan to hit Fan at his weakest moment, they need to wait a minimum of 50 years or longer.
“Fifty years?! Damnit! Are you sure that this news is correct?” She said angrily.
“Yes!”
“Check one more time, if the number is different then check it a hundred times to be sure.”
“Yes, my Queen.” Fred began running at full speed again.
Chris had a small idea on what just happened, and he doesn’t like it one bit.
“Tsubaki, the remaining people in Konoha cannot wait 55 years, we need to get to Fan now!” Said Chris impatiently.
The reason he acted so carefree was because he thought that Tsubaki would possible launch an attack soon, but waiting for 5 decades is out of their minds.
“I know. So just bring everybody else here, there is a lot of space available.” She said casually as if she already planned for this.
“You don’t understand, those aliens are not only a threat to the Elemental Nations but also to this place. If they find out how to come to this place, then there is no place that can protect us from them.”
“You heard what Fred said, I cannot even launch an attack at Wolf Territory when they are still strong. We must wait patiently until Fan gets weaker.”
“No, Tsubaki, you don’t understand. Fan isn’t the one we should be afraid of, it must be the alien. I fought against that thing 4 times, and everytime I fight it, it only got so much worse. The next time me, or even Isabella were to fight it, then even leaving alive with all our limbs intact would be a miracle.”
“I can understand your frustration, Chris, but why do you need Fan for?”
“Someone told me that Fan is the only one who knows how to stop the alien’s before everyone dies.”
“Hm… then maybe you don’t need to attack him.” She pulled out a weird shape dic thingy from her pocket.
“This is a communication device, it can let me talk to Fan Uchiha anytime I want.”
Chris was about to take it from her hand, until she raised it higher so Chris couldn’t reach it.
‘However, once you talk to the man promise me you won’t do anything rash. I have talked to the man various times before, and he somehow always manages to piss me off. Here.” She threw him the device which Chris caught it.
Chris activated the device, it only rang like a telephone would when someone was trying to call someone.
After a mere seconds passed, Fan finally picked up the phone.
There was a holographic face of the man that appeared on top of the device, it was more like a facetime device.
“Tsubaki, I haven’t from you in… You’re not Tsubaki.” Said Fan after noticing that the one calling him was Chris.
“Fan Uchiha.” Chris said after a pause, this is the first time he had ever faced or even talked to the man.
“That is who I am. Why do you need me?”
“My name is Chris Walker. I want you to help me defeat the mother alien that YOU created.”
“Chris Walker… I am afraid that will be impossible at the moment.”
“Why is that?”
“Because I really don’t care what Miss Fortune does. The moment I care will be the moment I will take action.”
“So you don’t care if that alien kills Naruto, Hina, Itachi, all of whom you are probably close to?”
“I might have lived in Konoha my entire live, but I don’t care. I don’t care about my son, my friends, they can all die.” Fan said seriously.
Chris started to get angry. Fan is clearly trying to make him mad, and its working.
“Ah… I see what’s going on, Rei hasn’t told you anything, has he?” Fan said after some realization.
“Tell me what?”
“Classic Rei. Always keeping things a secret till the bitter end.” He smiled at this thought.
“Chris Walker, let me tell you something; have you ever wondered why Rei chose you as the next system user, and how he got you to this world?”
Chris was silent for a moment. What does this have to do with anything?
“If I had to guess, you have probably;y heard that I used to have 5 Kekkei Genkais, while you only have 4. Have you ever thought why that was so weird?”
Once again, Chris had no idea why Fan was mentioning this.
But the weird part is how Fan knew that Chris did not receive the Uchiha bloodline like Fan did.
“Since Rei doesn’t want to tell you, then I guess I will not as well. However, just know this, for every action there is a price.”
“I don’t care about that, what I care about is how to defeat the-”
“Chris, Chris, Chris.” Fan interrupted. “You think of yourself to low. Your very existence is nothing short of amazing, I know because I have also lived the same life as you, well maybe longer than that.”
The author's content has been appropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon.
“But know this, Chris Walker, no matter what you do you will never be as strong as I was. You will never have the Uchiha bloodline, you will never be as smart as me, and you will never be as experienced as I was.”
Chris clenched his fist in anger.
“Fan, even if it means I have to drag you out of your home, I will make you tell me how to defeat the mother alien.”
“Perhaps. But how can you do that, when you just lost your Kekkei Genkais not too long ago?” He smirked at him.
Chris was shocked. How did he know that?
“I know, because while everybody else is playing checkers, I play chess. And you are just a pawn in my board.”
“Oh, and before I go, tell me, do you know what kind of system do you have?” Rei asked.
“What?”
“He hasn’t even told you that. Either he really doesn’t beleive in you, or he is just stupid. Just to give you a small hint, the answer is in his name. Goodbye, Walker.”
He disconnected the call, until they meet next time.
Fan tossed the device on his bed and lay down on his chair. Then, he couldn’t help but think of his son, who is probably gonna die soon.
“Naruto… I hope you know why I have to do this.”
He pressed a red button from his pocket, and 3 needles, with a red liquor in it, appeared on top of his cabinet.
He then stored him inside a spacial ring that he created.
“Chris Walker… I like his name. I wonder if these three needles will be of some use to him, and his friends. Hehehehe. I cannot wait till that day to come…” Fan left his room for reasons only known to him.
Chris started to walk to the nearest exit, for obvious reasons.
“Where are you going?” Asked Tsubaki.
“Bathroom.”
“Bathroom is the other way.”
“I know, I am just going to use the bathroom on Fan Uchiha’s Disney castle.”
He found himself being lifted up in mid-air, Tsubaki was holding him up from the back of his shirt.
“I do not know what kind of quarrels you had with that man, but if you are about to fight his kingdom, then I better stop you.”
“I cannot wait 50 years to attack him. For all I know we could all die within the next 5 days.”
“And heading straight to that man’s fortified castle is a death wish as well.”
“At least there is a small chance of me winning this and saving everyone.”
“And if you die, then how will TenTen feel once she hears that you die? Do you want TenTen to suffer.”
Chris stopped struggling. He could not believe Tsubaki is using that card on him.
“At least she will be alive.”
“Funny, during the war I also thought the same thing. I thought if I could sacrifice myself for everybody, then they could go back to once again live their peaceful lives, but I was wrong. TenTen was raised without a mother, my husband mourn my death for so long, and my friends missed me as much as I miss them.”
“Tsubaki, you sacrificed yourself for the ones you love, so how is this any different.” Asked Chris.
“Because this time you have a choice.”
“Hm… you’re going to attack him right now, aren’t you?” Asked Chris after realizing something.
“Yes. I know that man like the back of my hand. Once his energy starts to disappear, he is going to come after my kingdom to suck us dry, and I am not going to stand by and wait for that to happen.”
“But if he is as strong as you say, then why would you attack him now?” Asked Chris.
“Because this is the moment where he would least expect it.”
“I thought you said that it was impossible to win as long as he has all that energy stored away somewhere.”
“Yes, I did. So let’s do something about it, shall we. I could use your help with this.” She said.
“Of course.”
“Splendid. But, we need to plan this very carefully. Fan isn’t a fool, so he might expect something like this from us. We need to prepare for war.”
Tsubaki was against the idea of war, but if they don’t act now Fan will act first.
Tsubaki took Chris’s hand and let him to her room with TenTen and the others. She is planning on having everyone participate, only those who want to at least.
As they walked on the hallway Chris thought something that Fan just said to him.
‘What kind of system do I have? Now that I think about it, what is bluescreen’s major thing? I mean, all the light novels I ever read have something that makes them special, like a system shop, gamer system, Ultimate Scheming System, Library of Heaven’s path system, dating system.
But, Bluescreen has absolutely never mentioned what he majors in. And he never showed any signs in doing much. There was those missions that he made for me, but I believe that this isn’t his thing, it might be something completely different.’
Chris also thought of the Fortune system AKA the mother alien. Does her system somehow bring her good fortune or something?
So many unanswered questions, but in due time, they will all be answered.
"And also, we are going to have A LOOOOOOOOOOOONG chat about the birds and bees." Tsubaki added as he tightened her grip on Chris's hand.
"FFFFFAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!" He walked himself right into a death trap. A long boring death trap.
-Meanwhile
Fan was having some difficulties with the loss of his main source of power.
It might seem that fifty years is a long time, but he knows better than anybody that fifty years can go by in the nick of time.
Then he started to chuckle lightly to himself. There was somebody else in the room with him, someone he expected.
“Rei, long time no see.” He said as he poured two glasses of fine wine in his clear bottles.
Rei was looking at Fan with anger and disgust, he clearly dislikes him with all his might.
“You already talked to Chris.”
“I did. I honestly did not believe that you actually chose a chuunibyou out of all people to kill me. I thought you would seek the help of a serial killer or something like that.”
“Let us not forget that you too were also a chuunibyou, just like Chris.”
“I was… 300 years ago. Have you already forgotten that time you, Miss fortune and I spent?”
“I remember it clearly.”
“Then what brings you here?” He offered him one of his cups of wine.
“I need to know why you did that to her? She was the one who gave you the powers you have right now. She and I did so much for you, and yet you stabbed us in the back for no reason.”
“True. I also had to betray the woman I loved, and the son I never met. So it’s not just you who lost everything.”
“But why? You were the one who caused all this.”
“300 years ago, you and Miss Fortune showed me how the real world looks like. Have you forgotten how many times I almost died on Jay City? Most of the time was because I was betrayed by close friends.”
“Are you saying you did that to her because you were afraid we were gonna stab you in the back?” Rei asked.
“Strike first strike hard, is what you always taught me.”
“We would have never done that to you, and you know that.”
“Did I, really? Before I became a system user, you kept to yourself something important to me.”
“How did you know that?” Asked Rei in bafflement.
“Another source is all I can say.”
Fan chugged down the whole bottle until there wasn’t a drop left.
“I had to keep it from you…”
“YOU PROMISED ME THAT I WOULD LIVE A NORMAL LIFE AGAIN!!! BUT I CAN’T BECAUSE YOU KILLED ME A LONG TIME AGO!” Fan threw his bottle angrily and the wall which smashed to pieces.
“I had no choice! You wanted this life ever since you knew what anime was.”
“Those kids back on Earth… have no idea just how terrible that wish is. I should know that better than anybody else.”
“Chris doesn’t seem to mind it one bit.”
“Speaking of that kid, you never told him, have you?”
“That is none of your business.”
“No, no. That fact that he doesn’t even know what kind of power you have is weird. And the fact that he never mentioned anything about his last moments on Earth is also weird… Unless.”
He turned to look at Rei, but her turned to face the ground.
“You bastard! You erased his memories, didn’t you?” Fan said.
“I had to.”
“No, you didn’t. Let me guess, you probably killed him as well, but the fact that there was another Uchiha was unexpected, unless you had to do something about it.”
Fan started to wonder, until a thought hit him.
“I see now. He wasn’t your first choice as a system user, was he?”
Rei could only curse in his head. Fan is way too accurate.
“What did that kid do to change your mind about him? Was he also one of those rare souls?”
“No… he is a common soul.”
“Then why did you pick him? You know that those people born with a yellow soul are destined to be something great, or something terrible. A common soul will only ever remain a normal person his whole life.”
“I picked him… because he was the one soul that I could have never read.”
“... is that even possible?” Fan asked unable to believe it.
“I didn’t beleive it as well. He might not have been a yellow soul, but he is the one unique soul that I could never read.”
“No wonder you picked him. But, you have been actually manipulating him from the shadows, haven’t you?”
Rei did not answer that question.
“You are a fool, Rei. Are you that afraid that he will betray you because of the stuff you have kept hidden from him.”
Rei did not answer his question, but Fan knew what the answer was.
Rei was afraid that Chris will indeed betray him life Fan did for the very same reason. At this rate, he might just create another Fan Uchiha.
“The only difference is that you actually have the chance to kill him. After all, those are the sacred rules that the Master set up.” Said Fan.
“You gods live by three sacred rules: Never kill another living being: Never enslave another being: And guide the ones who you have chosen, in this case Chris Walker.”
“I know that. I told you those rules long ago.”
There was a moment of silence, before Fan added another question.
“Why did you come here, Rei? I don’t think you wanted to discuss things, otherwise you could have done that years ago.”
“I came here because I wanted to know why you did that to Miss Fortune. But, now that I know it was my fault, I do not see the reason why I should be here any longer.”
He was about to leave, but stopped because he had another question to ask.
“Before I go, I need to know something.”
“What?”
“You have lived three seperate lives: The normal life; The cultivator life: And now this. I lied about my promise all those years ago, but I still want to know if you are satisfied with the many adventures you up till now?”
Fan looked at the ground for a moment, all he could see was his shadow figure.
He let out a small sigh, then said. “I did enjoy it… much more than I should have.”
“If you liked it that much, then why did you betray us?”
“Because… goodbye Rei.” He left that question unanswered on purpose.
Rei disappeared as he left, even if he wanted to, he cannot read the minds of people.
Fan clenched his fist and stared at his tall ceiling.
“Because… something much worse is going to happen than we could ever imagine. I can feel it. And there is no hope for any of us to survive.”
He started to laugh hysterically.
“THE WAR OF THE GODS… WILL BE UNLIKE ANYTHING ANYONE HAS EVER SEEN! WE FEAR IT YET IT WILL COME TO US! ALL HELL WILL BREAK LOOSE AND THE DEAD SHALL RISE ONCE MORE! AND THE FALLEN GODS WILL TRAMPLE THE UNIVERSE ONCE AGAIN!”
He started drinking the full bottle of wine and threw the rest on the fireplace.
He started getting a headache all of a sudden, with it came these visions.
4 humans, 3 men 1 woman, were standing against a mighty foe, even more terrifying than the mother alien.
One of them was Chris.
The rest he is not familiar with. But he could barely describe them.
One had a staff in his hand.
The other had golden wings sprouting from his back.
The girl had beautiful, long, golden hair.
“Chris… no matter how strong you get, you will never win against ‘that’ foe. I know, because you lose along with your other companions. This is a war you cannot win.”
His headache got stronger and so did his vision.
There started to appear another figure. But this figure was too dark that he couldn’t see it properly, but judging from his appearance it was a man.
What was weird is that it looked like his left arm was missing, but it was replaced by something else, something metallic.
“A fifth? That’s new. But it won’t change anything.”
His vision started to disappear along with his headache.
“Who are those other 4?”
