“Daddy…?”
Wonder said, “It’s okay, baby boy.” He rubbed the other’s back, hoping that would comfort him. Wonder then tried to look around, but it was pitch black. That narrator was an asshole.
Wonder did a two-finger swipe like they did in Sword Art Online. It worked, revealing Wonder’s Menu. It wasn’t anything fancy. Stats, equipment, messages, inventory. Oh, and a sub-menu for Izuku.
Wonder said, “Dammit… no map unless there’s one in Inventory.”
Wonder tapped that option, and had to scowl. His bow and quiver, a few bottles for Izuku, and some jerky and water for him. DAMMIT.
Wonder sighed. He equipped the bow and arrow, feeling them both land on his back. He turned off the menu and knelt down, patting the ground. Dirt.
Wonder blinked, then reached out carefully. Tree.
Wonder said, “OK… Izuku, sweetie, where did you come from?”
“Me don’t know…”
“Can you tap me in that direction?”
There was a tap on Wonder’s left shoulder.
Wonder said, “All right. Let’s go in the opposite direction until we know better.”
Wonder started heading to his right. Izuku soon fell asleep. Wonder just let him. No use waking a kiddo up.
Wonder brought up his menu, realizing it gave a dim glow. He was able to use it to navigate.

In the meantime, he started searching his stats. He managed upon an image of himself. It was very different than what he used to look like before. He was a tall male, with bright purple hair, red eyes like a serpent’s, fingers like claws, and had some lithe muscle.
Based on my “Soulwave”?
Well, this was his most commonly used Avatar when he was allowed to customize. Maybe that was what the other meant by Soulwave.
Wonder did some tests. Apparently he could summon his bow into his hand by willing it there. Good to know. As well, the quiver seemed to have unlimited arrows. A bit OP, but Wonder would take it.
Wonder checked his stats, and blinked. He was almost sure the screen was busted, but he didn’t feel like it was. His DEF, ATK, and AGI were all maxed out. As well, his STR bar was halfway full while REP was 0. Tapping the bar to be sure, he got an message: Psychical strength. Train and gain abilities to raise this Stat. Can also be temporarily boosted by magic and others’ skills.
But why is some of my stats already hyped all the way up? That’s broken!
Still…
Wonder adjusted Izuku slightly. Izuku whimpered, “Daddy…?”
“Daddy’s about to move very fast. Hold on, baby boy!”
Wonder darted into a run.
And it was almost like he was in a Sonic the Hedgehog movie or video game. Wonder hugged Izuku carefully as he dodged trees. Luckily, despite his speed, he saw the obstacles coming. Then he remembered: AGI, or Agility, was usually a stat that related to speed anddodging ability. Since his was max…
Yeah.
He was a little OP.
Seriously, did someone make that class, or was tweaking his character, to fit him perfectly?
Wonder ran for a few minutes. Izuku giggled throughout the whole thing. Wonder had to smile at that. A baby’s laugh was a wonderful thing.
Wonder tried to keep an eye out. Not just dodging trees, but making sure they didn’t run into enemies. That line earlier about Dark creatures being possibly more powerful in attacks… yeah.
Then he saw it: light.
And it looked like firelight or lanterns.
He ran towards the lights, prepping his bow just in case it was a trick or trap.
But when he broke the tree line at last, he saw a village.
