Chapter 9: Soldier Classes for the insane and edgy

Chapter 9: Soldier Classes for the insane and edgy

Ahahahahahhahaha

MY GLORIOUS TANKS ARE READY FOR BATTLE. YEE HAW. Ehehehehe. I've also finally perfected my soldier armor designs, which took up a good portion of my time. I'm pretty sure Ivictus had to oversee everything while I was busy, but for now I want to show off my soldiers. Ahem

I gave the skirmishers, or as I've begun to call them, windrunners, These guys look like adventurers due to how seemingly little their armor protects. They have a small booster pack that lets them fly for a few minutes before having to refuel. Each windrunner gets light but extremely durable equipment that lets them shrug off one or two pistol rounds, along with a KE smg, or kinetic-to-energy submachine gun, which basically means they can either shoot projectile-base bullets for lighter armored foes or use energy-type rounds for heavily armored ones. Although they have to use the energy-type rounds sparingly due to the amount of heat they produce, This is along with a toolkit containing a few medical supplies, a multipurpose combat shovel, a few energy bars, four extra magazines for short skirmishes, and a flare. All tuck their waste into a small bag. Well, except for the shovel, which is sheathed on the side adjacent to the bag.

Now firecrackers get a slightly heavier armor type that looks akin to a samurai back in Japan, which can tank a lot of bullets and is more acid-resistant with an added compound I made. So to keep up with the theme, I gave them a katana, depending on their class: a KE assault rifle, a grenade launcher, a flamethrower, or, for extreme cases, a one-time-use gauss cannon. Why one-time use? Because it's that hard to make for my people anyway. I proofread the blueprints and step-by-step procedures for the items I want my factories to produce. Anyway, the rest of the firecracker's set consists of an ammo sash that goes from one shoulder to the waist, a flare, a short relay radio, a medical bag, a bottle of water, and a few energy bars.ll of this is contained in a sort of duffel bag, which is also strapped like a backpack to avoid the shoulder pads of my samurai.

Next up are the earthshakers. They are heavily armored and look like European knights. I don't have an old-time armor addiction; YOU DO. Anyway, these guys carry machine guns and gatling guns wherever they go. The things they carry are so heavy that I had to give their armor exoskeletons just so they could carry them. Needless to say, they need an entire barrage of machine fire just to breach their armor. What do they carry? Well... They carry an entire bag of cement mix that is tied on top of the bag. Several MRE packs are stuffed into one side of their bag, along with some preserved vegetables for if they decide to set up camp and eat. So of course I had to give them a cooking pot, a ladle, and some wooden bowls. They also have a lot of extra ammo and energy cells for their weapons and tools. What tools do they carry, Alester? Well, they have a mini drill, a communication station, and a lot of wire.

Next up, we got the tri packs and the auxiliaries.

These auxiliaries consist of water, life, and lightning users. Although one of them should get an offensive class due to their crowd control capabilities, in all honesty, they are more of a detriment and are more likely to accidentally kill their allies. So I gave them the same armor composition as the windrunners, but with a different design for their use. Life is dressed like medics, lightning mechanics, and water as an all-rounder; they have healing capabilities and can produce energy through the power of running water. They work together along with earthshakers to set up outposts, which is what I plan. Of course, most of the building supplies will be transported when they get to the desired location and finish fortifying. They mostly just carry a medkit, a toolbox, a KE pistol, and a shovel. They are to be only behind barricades or relatively out of sight, and they don't usually participate in offensive charges. But seeing who the enemy is, I don't think we'll be breezing through enemy ranks.

Next up, we have the Black Deaths. They are built for long wars of attrition; they are basically my siegers. They have all types of heavy and light weaponry, from the humble assault rifle to a gauss cannon; they have it all, and they will use any means necessary to complete a campaign, even if it means genocide. I mean, I don't want them to do it, but if they don't have any other choice, then so be it. Oh yeah, the reason I haven't employed any of them to defend the walls is because they were all practicing creating gas clouds. Yes, chemical warfare is now a thing. Now, due to their nature and equipment, they won't participate in the finding of an outpost and would only deploy if the battle took too long. Skirmishers are almost useless and would most likely be a waste of resources. Firecracker charges would only be a slaughterhouse if the enemy wasn't weak or weakened before hand. Earthshakers would be easy targets due to their slow mobility and gigantic frames. Let's not talk about the auxiliaries or the arcane users. So to sum it up, black death soldiers are agile and mobile, trained and prepared for a grueling campaign, have access to an array of weaponry, can make quick decisions during a battle, are immune to almost every plague, and are completely immune to the chemicals and plagues they themselves made.

Finally, we got the pointed star: the arcane users. I named them the pointed stars mainly because the arcane users I had employed in these ranks were able to utilize the peak of arcane energy. They could see the future for long periods of time, some being able to see weeks ahead; they could also lift things a hundred times their own weight. Add the fact that I made arcane users able to summon bonded creatures and the newly added better memory. These guys basically became the main tacticians on the battlefield. Of course, other high ranks of different elements can also join in. They can't really argue with someone who can see the possible future.

Of course, the future is not 100% certain and can be affected by different variables on the battlefield. But to be able to see the many outcomes and judge whether or not it's worth it is still quite a formidable ability. Using this, my soldiers can fix things that they may have thought were fine but actually weren't and prepare accordingly or fix the problem before it even becomes a problem.

So because of this, I made them wear a mobile and versatile armor piece like the Black Deaths, but made it a little better since they won't have that many members. Along with this, I gave them a smaller version of the earthshakers exoskeleton suits; although I could give this to all my soldiers, I realized that it would be far too expensive for my people to make themselves. I mean, like, the earthshaker's exoskeleton suit already requires an entire factory just to make five a week. Now make it more compact. Yeah, basically the same reason why phones were so chonky before, and I really can't use phones due to not having any satellites setup yet.

ANYWAY. Along with a set of light armor and an exoskeleton suit attached to said armor, They also get an energy field. This energy field can tank constant fire from a heavy MG Turret and still be able to go for more. Of course, if they have both enough energy cells and a gigantic mana pool, But I've also made it so that things get through it, But things can get out. So I gave them a KE Dawn Mark-2, which is just a pistol that shoots lasers. How did I make it so that the gun doesn't melt? You may ask, Well, there's another thing you need to know. A member of the pointed star actually oversees the entire manufacturing process of their equipment. That's right, each member can customize their equipment to suit their taste and is also able to fix their own equipment without the auxiliaries assistance. Finally, I also gave them an energy saber, and I need to tell you, this thing is nuts. It can not only act like a normal saber, like being able to parry and whatnot, but it can also cut through any metal like a hot knife through butter. BUTTER!

THESE GUYS ARE BASICALLY THE COOL KIDS; THEY ARE SMART, RICH, STRONG, AND SOCIAL? Maybe? I don't know, but you get my point. The five-pointed stars are at the top of the ranks. Second only to peak users and the first spawn.

Who are the peak users? Well, basically the master of their element, some being equivalent to the first spawn. Basically, their predecessors Though none are even close to Ivictus. I made sure of that by making him boost like fuck.

Anyway, this war is going to be like a game of Clash of Clans between two new players.

They either overwhelm you in number. Barbarians only

Beat you with strategy. Archers only.

or attempt to decimate you with superior technology. Giants only.

I'm pretty sure my enemy is the first one. Too bad for them; I'm the fourth kind. I play RTS games instead of making friends or going outside'.

With my soldier ranks out of the way, I just need to finish up with the technology and start preparing for my eventual breach of the surface, but before I do proper dungeon things, I need to take care of this flesh monster problem.

This is going to be fun.
