Chapter 6: New companions

Ivictus POV

"I shall name you Ivictus Victorious."

His words from the day I was conceived still echo in my mind. It has now been two months since that day. And the creator has done many amazing things in that time span.

"Ivictus! There you are!" I look towards the source of the voice to find one of my latest companions the creator has made for me. He says he doesn't want me to get lonely and that '3 or more is a party'. The voice was from Meletia, one of the 'females'.

"Ivictus, look! The creator has given me this brand new armament. He says it's an obvious copy of a "Scar H" assault rifle!" she says excitedly as she proceeds to tell me of the things she had done with said weapon.

The creator told me Meletia was to be the head of the military and order when he finally decided to birth more of us. Meletia was a beautiful female with luscious red hair that faded into orange tips like a bonfire. Currently, she wears nothing but a pair of skin-tight undergarments that hug her body quite tightly. I believe that this is inappropriate, as the master has told us so, but since it has only been a week since her conception, I'll let it slide.

Sweat glistened off her skin as she grabbed a towel and proceeded to dry herself while continuing to talk about her new 'toy'. I note that although her muscles aren't as 'pronounced' as mine, I have to say her body was quite fit.

"And that is how I finished off the boulder snapper today." Oh, she seems to be done talking. It seems I have tuned her out way too much; I don't quite remember the details of what she had just talked about. Although it's only been a week, I find Meletia to be quite 'chatty'. As she waves me bye and turns to walk away, I say to her:

"Oh, by the way, Meletia, before you head back towards the newly built training area, have you seen the rest of our companions?" I asked. She adopts a thinking expression before shaking her head. I sigh before I hear her say it.

"Oh wait!" I look at her quizzically. "I think Burge is outside working on the roads in the western district of the city. For the creator to tell him to create so many homes, he must be planning on making many more of us! I'm so excited, Ivictus! Are you?"

"Yeah, I guess." I give her a small smile before waving her off. The creator has assigned me to keep track of my companions. And I can see his reasoning. At first, I thought he was worried if we were going to get hurt, but it turns out he was actually kind of worried about what we might do.

Just yesterday, Kresus

My thoughts were interrupted by the sound of something big and heavy crashing. I sigh and shake my head while muttering under my breath. "Kresus, what did you do?"

I rush towards the sound at astonishing speeds. I kicked up dust as I did so, and yeah, Quinton is not going to like that. In my haste, I almost hit both Lefie and Rufin and almost made Gea drop her books.

"Sorry, Gea!" I quickly yelled out an apology before I got too far.

Soon I will arrive at the heart chamber. I look around and notice that nothing bad has happened here. I let out a sigh of relief before I looked towards the creator's heart.

It was a swirling mass of pitch-black goop that was as large as my entire torso. Different colored rings of energy rotated around it, acting as a cage that restrained the mass of darkness that was my creator's heart. A bolt of electricity flashed and struck one of the colorful shards of glass that floated beside the rings. Even though I dare not get close, I can tell that those shards of glass are powerful enough to kill me in an instant. There would be no contest if someone were to somehow weaponize them.

I am thankful that the shards are in the right hands—my creator's hands.

ACHOOO

A loud sneeze echoed all around me and through the newly constructed halls of the chamber. It must have been from Quinton. The poor man probably found all the dust I had kicked up.

I take one last look at my master's heart before heading off to find Kresus. I hope he did not break anything important to the creator. That would be bad.

"Glory to the creator," I said as I finished my prayer.

"Glory to the creator," the rest of my companions said before grabbing a piece of the meal Gea had prepared.

"Oooh, what is this?" Meletia asked cheerily as she grabbed grilled mushrooms that were on a stick.

"Grilled mushrooms; I had Burge pick some when he was just about done with the western plaza's construction," Gea said as she took a sip from a bowl of soup.

"Rufin, ew! Don't chew with your mouth open!" Lefia chastised Rufin, who responded by chewing his food even louder, only this time right up her face.

"Gross!" she yelled before looking towards a tired-looking teenager. "Quinton, can we switch seats?" she asked.

Quinton shook his head in response. "Pleaaaaseee"

"Mmm mm," he said while shaking his head even harder.

"I'll clean the halls around my room," she offered Quinton. Who responded with

"You said that yesterday! And it's still dirty," he said before focusing back on his meal.

"I was busy! I was studying the book the creator gave me!" Lefia retorted, but that did not make Quinton budge by even an inch.

"So immature," Penitia said as she watched the three continue to bicker. Well, two of them bicker, and the other is just there.

"Ivictus, what's going?" Krasus said after noticing me in a daze.

"Hmmm? Oh yeah, it's nothing," I said, trying my best to sound fine. I was quite fine being the only one; I had the creator to talk to, and there wasn't a need for companionship.

But it's the creator's will. Whatever his reasons for creating my companions, although they are annoying at times, I am sure that they had a purpose for being created. Like my purpose to protect the heart chamber.

"IVICTUS! REFIN HIT LEFIA!" Quinton yelled. I sigh and bury my emotions; they are so annoying.
