I'm a dungeon, fear me (under heavy rewriting)
Chapter 1: every thing starts off with an introduction!

Chapter 1: every thing starts off with an introduction!

"hello my name is alester, and currently I'm a dungeon." I said to a random wall where my core was embedded in. "yeah I..... I don't know, it's been rough."

"damn I really don't know how to do these things." I lamented before sighing. "it's been a few days since the start of my new life as a dungeon, I haven't really accepted I have died yet, but I think my mind is beginning to crack."

I chuckle before continuing "I mean look at me!" I yell as I stretch my arms to my sides before remembering I don't have a body. "yeah probably never going to get used to that."

"I guess a bit of back story is in order. Ahem." I clear my throat.

"It was just a normal day you know, Got off with a nice enough start. I woke up energized and chippy right before the alarm clock rung, the sun was bright and hot, but not too much might I add, just enough.

I took a shower on a good note and saw that the nasty scratch I got from falling off my bike last week has mostly healed and isn't itchy anymore. Had a scrumptious breakfast before heading of to my job interview.

I was just fresh out of highshool and decided to take some time off and get a job before getting an actual degree, but on my way I saw an ice cream truck across the street. I still had lots of time and figured why not get an ice cream, even though it's kinda early.

But just as I reach the halfway point, I saw a truck speeding right towards me that didn't seem to be slowing down. I have NO clue why I didn't move, I mean it was a simple action, but noooo I decided to become a deer right there and then and watched as the side of the truck hit me.

This story is posted elsewhere by the author. Help them out by reading the authentic version.

That wasn't even the end of it, no there was more. I didn't fucking die. When the truck had hit me I went flying, I was then hit by another fucking car and finally hit the ground. The car had also accidentally crushed my legs in the process, I don't know HOW, but it just did.

The paramedics arrived after a awhile and did their best to help me. Although that part was fuzzy due to the amount of pain I was in. Parts of my face my flayed off, shards of glass were embedded in me which got from hitting the car lights, broken bones and other shit. All in all my brain couldn't take it and I died on the way to the hospital."

I shivered at the memory of my death, really not a nice way to go.

I look around me and back to my "core".

It was the size of a necklace bead with no noticeable features other than that it's glass clear and looks like it could be shattered with easily. It probably would to be honest.

"As of right now there isn't an exit to note. The cave I'm in right now doesn't have an exit, to be honest I'm not sure HOW I can see perfectly fine seeing as there is no light source anywhere."

"although... There is a spot where I can't see anything, it's just pitch black beyond a certain point. It's sort of like world border" I say before turning to see said world border.

It's sort of unsettling not gonna lie. Abrupt change from light to dark reminds me of those videos on oil rigs at night. Just an endless sea of nothing, no dim stars to light the sea of black, with only the various sounds beyond the darkness are you assured there is something beyond the blanket of night.

Jesus christ what am I? Some kind of writer? Anyway back to my lonely commentary.

"so you may ask. 'but what happened during the first few days? Surely you must have done something.' well if I'm being honest no. I did not do anything productive. To be honest I don't think I'm even a dungeon, the only reason I assumed that I am one is because of the fact that the glass marble in the wall over there is basically me. "

Or well a part of me anyway. Its like I have 2 bodies. One is physical while the other is like my mind..... Yeah that's an awful explanation. But just work with me here okay?

Anyway, I seem to be passively taking in some kind of energy around me. I had just started to notice it yesterday when I felt kind of full. Right now I'm still trying to figure out how to use it.

I mean it sounds simple right? But nope, it's like riding a bike for the first or parallel parking between 2 other cars, you're going to fucking fail.

Without some kind of example I'm gonna have to find a way to use it myself, but until then I'll see you in the next update.
