A train ticket that will not be reimbursed.

----------------------------------------

It was early in the morning, a young man in a suit was sitting on a bench while eating a croissant, his grey eyes were looking at the train station in front of him, as if he believed that act to be able to accelerate time.

He was waiting the announcement of the departure of the train for Rome, one of the stops of his journey around the countries he believed had the best cuisines in the world and the stop that was the most important in his "vacation", not for the food by itself but because it was the place where he lived with the only person he ever loved, and the place where that person died.

"Il treno per Roma Termini è in partenza al binario 19"

Hearing the announcement the man stood up whispering "Servius", the name of his old love, and started walking towards the station.

He entered the building but, when he almost reached the platform, the world around him suddenly started to fade and soon only darkness was around him.

(What's happening now?) The man questioned himself as he floated in the never-ending darkness.

A light appeared in front of him, and through that light he could see the inside of a dome-shaped room entirely made of marble with four wooden doors and no windows, the room was instead illuminated by small orbs placed on iron holders on the wall.

In the room a man dressed as a noble during the medieval times was chanting something while men in full plate armor stood by the wall.

(It looks like I’m being summoned. There is something weird about these people though; those clothes should have been out of fashion on Earth for a while now.)

The story has been illicitly taken; should you find it on Amazon, report the infringement.

The man used his power to slow down the process that was going on and used one of his abilities to see what was waiting for him on the other side of the light.

What he saw was a world he had never seen, filled with what seemed to be monsters roaming around, various races other than humans living in cities and villages that resembled those of Earth of just some centuries ago, people using something that looked like magic and much, much more.

The races seemed to have different cultures from one another but one thing was common to all of them: what seemed to be hate towards a certain person, all around the world paintings, statues, windows made of stained glass pictured her in atrocious activities or celebrated her death.

(Weird… I never heard of one of the Ethereals being summoned to another world. I might as well play a little prank on them for summoning me when I was going to visit the last place I shared with Servius.)

While thinking so the man changed his appearance to match that of the so much hated figure: a young woman taller than most men, with bronzed skin, hair white like snow, one eye green as a forest under the noon sun and the other black as the sea during a moonless night, her body with perfect proportions would have made anyone who had not heard nor read about the legend fall in love with her instantly but there was no one in that world that had not heard about her and she was feared by every race in any part of the globe, even after many millennia from her death. Finally the suit he was wearing also changed and became a dark blue dress with silver ornaments that made it look like a starry sky, with high-heels shoes made of Ivory.

Having finished her preparation she stopped interfering with the summoning process and was enveloped by a warm light as she appeared in the dome-shaped room she had seen before.

When the light subsided the young woman was standing in front of the noble-looking man, smiling while staring at him.

(Let’s see how they react)

The men in the room were shocked at the appearance of the woman in front of them and when the noble-looking man shouted “Leliah?!"  a man with a different armor than the other guards jumped in front of him.

“It’s the archdemon Leliah! Everyone, protect the king!"

When  the man with a different armor said these words all the guards in the room drew their swords ready to attack the woman in front of them.
