I apologize for dropping off the face of the world for a while but I wanted to return here to let you guys know that this web novel is going on a hiatus indefinitely. There are two main reasons for this:

1. After editing the prologue, I came to realize that this story had some glaring flaws concerning the story's beginning and pacing. I had never really considered such issues until I took a stab at rewriting the prologue in order to attract new readers. If I were to go back to the beginning and rewrite the first fifty chapters, maybe I could deal with this issue but then I fear that I'll just find more and more issues that need dealing with. The cost in time and effort I would sink into rewriting the web novel would be the biggest issue. It would be better for me at this stage to leave the web novel as is and work on writing something else.

2. I want to write a web novel that people will read and enjoy but I feel like the current web novel I have written cannot deliver such an experience in a way that satisfies me as its author. It's not anyone's fault, it's just something I've realized, with several flaws I need to properly fix when writing in the future. There are a ton of web novels that I have read and enjoyed and a lot of constructive feedback I have received for this story itself that made me realize that this web novel falls short of a story that I myself would thoroughly enjoy reading. There are amazing web novels I've read, for example, Azarinth Healer, Tree of Aeons, Jackal Among Snakes, not to mention KR novels and manhwas like SSS Suicide Hunter (my absolute favourite story in probably any medium), The Trash of the Count's Family and Survival Story of a Sword King. I want to be able to write stories of this caliber, and I have been writing so that I can produce such stories. However, this story cannot match up and rather than continue it, I've decided to go back to the drawing board and start from scratch. This novel has a very tall uphill climb to be something that is read, and most crucially enjoyed, by a lot of people on this website (or on other sites like Scribblehub, Webnovel or Wattpad).

That being said, this story was a great writing experience for me. I put a lot of time and energy into this story and I do love a lot of things about it. I learned a lot about good story telling over the past year of writing in between my day job. I want to thank all the readers who have stuck out with the story thus far and I'm sorry for not being able to continue it. I will be posting a new web novel next week starting Wednesday and if any of you are interested in giving it a try, feel free! I will give a brief synopsis, basically a reincarnation plot about a man who was sent to hell and lived there a millenium and a half, and found a way to turn back time to before he landed in hell and reincarnate in a fantasy world of sword, magic and some cultivation thrown into the mix (genre: grimdark, isekai, reincarnation, war, gods, sword and magic and a few more)

Anyways, thanks for reading this message thus far and especially thanks to those who have been reading my story all the way to the latest chapter! I hope the next story I write and any of the ones after that will provide each of you with the fantasy epic you're looking for, because I'm not going to stop writing until I perfect my craft, no matter how long it takes!
