Cariha considers how she would handle the beautiful beastkin mother. What would she need to do in order to torment her? Her thoughts turn truly cruel.
I might like to rape the boy in front of his mother. What kind of expression would the woman make if I did that? I’d like to see her whore face twist into shame and anger, being completely unable to stop me. Or… I could have one of the men here penetrate her in front of the child. Or… maybe I could have my way with her…
Cariha bites her lip looking at the boy’s mother. A light blush lands on her face. The woman is quite attractive. Her breasts are beautiful, both large and perky. Her buttocks are plump and juicy. Her mouth is… However, she quickly shakes those thoughts away. Those desires of hers are unclean, especially in the eyes of Osva.
Women should only lay with men. That is one of the truths ingrained into her at a young age by both the church and her own experiences. Homosexuality is not allowed by the church ever since its first formal ban at the nation’s inception over ten thousand years ago.
“Leader… we should work faster. If we’re unlucky…” Poil reminds Cariha of that factor who could still interfere with their sacrifice ritual, the man named Ajax.
“Right, right… Alright then.” Cariha’s gaze towards the young beastkin boy changes. She examines the tool that she will use for today’s sacrifice. This is the most crucial moment of her life.
The purpose of the sacrifice ritual that she and her group are about to perform today is able to absolve them of their sins. The sins of their past would be completely absolved if they were to anoint themselves in the blood of their offering.
There are various requirements for an offering. The offering must be a demihuman. The ritual requires one to anoint their faces in the blood of the offering in order to absolve themselves of their sin. The offering must also be blameless.
But, adults are not blameless. However, children are blameless. Infants are blameless.
The offering does not need to be a physically intact person either; they need not be unblemished, perfectly healthy or otherwise. They can even be children suffering from incurable diseases or children who are injured or disabled. It certainly makes it easier to confine the boy and prevent his escape until the moment of his death.
In this case, all they had to do was take away his little crutches.
Cariha stares into the small child’s eyes, still quite proud of her work. Their group of eight would perhaps be able to anoint their faces with his blood, at least originally. However, Cariha actually had a moment of inspiration after seeing Beric die. Once she had shared her plan with her team, they thought that Osva was speaking through her.

Her plan is to have this beastkin boy drink two vials of the alchemical solution. The vials have the effect of turning someone’s body into an extremely flammable, blood-colored substance in an explosive reaction. She wishes to drench their bodies in that substance, that special blood, ending their lives in that fire.
The fire would then go on to consume the load bearing structures of the building, melting it down to the ground in the process.
They would offer up the boy to their Lord in order to absolve their sins while also offering their own bodies and souls to Osva. The poetic nature of their sacrifice was not lost on their group, though the idea itself felt like it couldn’t even be found in the red heretic bible. It was more of an improvisation that would allow each of them to reach the true heaven without technically committing suicide.
She had not shared this plan of hers with Loman. However, now that she was here with her subordinates, what could he or the members he left behind in the realm of the living even do?
All she had to do now was to get the boy to drink the two vials. She had thought about forcing the brat to do it but if the offering choked on the vial, it might not be effective. Furthermore, if the offering spit the vial of liquid in their faces, they don’t fully understand what happens if the liquid makes contact with their skin.
They would rather not find out. Though, Cariha is rather annoyed that she didn't think to ask Loman any of these questions while she had the opportunity to do so. Well, all she’d need to do is improvise. It already seemed to be the theme of today.
Cariha removes the two vials from their spot under her dress. Her eyes are predatory this time. Their glint forces the young boy to look away in fear. His mother behind the boy watches her eyes in confusion and uncertainty.
“Boy… I would like it if you were to drink these two vials for me.” Cariha states, her voice sweet. However, her insane predatory expression cannot be hidden at this point.
What would be the point?
“…” The boy doesn't look at her face, his head turned away and his eyes closed.
“I know you can make the right decision, young man.”
He tries to turn his head to look behind him. However, Utha, who is standing over him, forces his head back towards Cariha.
“It’s alright, it’s alright. Let him see his mom.” Cariha offers.
The boy immediately, though cautiously, turns towards his mother’s face. Her mouth is gagged and two men are standing at her sides, her hands tied behind her back. Her expression towards him is clear. She is telling him not to obey this woman’s demand. Absolutely not. Under no circumstances should he obey this human woman and drink some kind of strange substance.
The boy returns to face Cariha and, having gained some courage from the face of his mother, he speaks.
“…No.”
“Oh… How beautiful. You really love your mother, don’t you? You would do anything for her, wouldn’t you?” Cariha smiles warmly. “Well, then let me say it clearly. Boy, if you drink what I offer to you, then your mother will continue to be alive.”
